William Ayers Vents

Domestic terrorist William Ayers vented about the GOP's criticism of his friendship with Barack Obama and Vietnam in a column today.
Ayers said it was "just plain stupid" for John McCain and Sarah Palin to demand more details about the relationship--although McCain, much to the chagrin of many conservatives, never did this.
Ayers said McCain's fixation on Vietnam ("a war of terror against a civilian population") made him demonize the 60's era, but never mentions the demonic things he did during that time.
"McCain and Palin—or as our late friend Studs Terkel put it, 'Joe McCarthy in drag'—would like to bury the ’60s," Ayers wrote. "The ’60s, after all, was a time of rejecting obedience and conformity in favor of initiative and courage. The ’60s pushed us to a deeper appreciation of the humanity of every human being. And that is the threat it poses to the right wing, hence the attacks and all the guilt by association."

So easily accepted, yet so easy to discredit, simply due to their self-contradictory nature. To wit:
"The ’60s pushed us to a deeper appreciation of the humanity of every human being." (Except the human beings your were trying to blow into little pieces, I guess) |

A known terrorist protected by the corrupt, liberal controlled court system and shieled by the anti-American scum that infests our universities. |

from a new yorker piece the day after the election
http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/tny/2008/11/mr-ayerss -neighborhood.html
Ayers said that he had never meant to imply, in an interview with the Times, published coincidentally on 9/11, that he somehow wished he and the Weathermen had committed further acts of violence in the old days. Instead, he said, “I wish I had done more, but it doesn’t mean I wish we’d bombed more s@it.” Ayers said that he had never been responsible for violence against other people and was acting to end a war in Vietnam in which “thousands of people were being killed every week.”
“While we did claim several extreme acts, they were acts of extreme radicalism against property,” he said. “We killed no one and hurt no one. Three of our people killed themselves.” And yet he was not without regrets. He mocked one of his earlier books, co-written with Dohrn, saying that, while it still is reflective of his radical and activist politics today, he was guilty of “rhetoric that’s juvenile and inflated—it is what it is.”
“I wish I had been wiser,” Ayers said. “I wish I had been more effective, I wish I’d been more unifying, I wish I’d been more principled.” |

Shut up! Your father was chairman and CEO of Commonwealth Edison. You lived a good life and you decided that the only way to change this country was through violence. Way to be a typical liberal hypocrite hatemonger. You wanted peace, yet all you brought was violence. After all of that you're not even repentive.
The fact of the matter is, if John McCain was a conservative and if he'd made an issue out of Obama's relationships with the like of yourself, Jeremiah Wright and others, there would've been a different outcome to the election. Instead, McCain wanted to show compassion, something you did not do when you were bombing people. Compassion was McCain's weakness and Barack took advantage of it.
In the end, Ayers' got his wish. Welcome to the United Socialist States of America.

Bill Ayers meant to say that "the ’60s pushed us to a deeper appreciation of ... dope and dope-heads." And their juvenile-in-adult bodies illuminati cohorts in academia pushed God out of schools, and ultimately even out of many churches in favor of humanism and foolhearty hubris. |

I wonder what color your sky is in your World?
How do you defend a terrorist? Are You a bleeding heart that believes in rehabilitation?
You belong in the group of the Dolts! YOu don't have a brain one!
Hope your new neighbor isn't a terrorist, but hey I am sure you will welcome them with tea and cookies right?
Duped Fool! |
|
What are you talking about? McCain was a POW when watergate happened.
Obviously, Obama wasn't involved in any of Ayers' bombings, but that was never the issue. The issue was the people he surrounded himself with. People who hate this country and what it has stood for. |
|
No thanks, I'd rather chew nails for a few hours.
This guy is one of many reasons that I choose to live out of the city (actually, he's more like a symptom of why). He's a complete dirtbag, and a narcissist to boot. To compare his "bravery" to McCain is just pathetic (and completely within his character). I'd love to see him have the courage to face some of the families of the victim's of the bombings that took place under his leadership. Unfortunately, he'll continue to hide in his cushy little life with his inherited wealth, throwing stones at the rest of us for not being as enlightened as he is.
Welcome to how your college education tuition is spent. |
|
to after the fact rationalize his life with the rearward view.
He appears to suffer from high blood pressure. It'll likely be his demise sooner than those that issue threats his way.
He is a paltry man. Marginal in accomplishments and destined to be a note attached to the 2008 election campaign.
How unsatisfying, that ones life should be remembered for the fact that you were a dangerous association for another that had to hide from knowing you.

Ayers is a traitor and NOT an American. But he is a friend of Barack's. |
|
there seems to be some confusion as to what offenses Ayers is responsible for.
Just to clear things up during the time Ayers was with the weathermen the only people who lost their lives were three weathermen who accidentally blew themselves up while making a bomb.
The weathermen alearted the buldings beforehand so they would be clear of people when the bombs went off.
Yes it is still an abhorrent act, but lets be clear about what took place. They were not bombings which were meant to inflict casualties. |
|
|
If William Ayers is pissed off, someone is doing something right. I only wish he was more pissed off. |
|
|
Oh, that's all? Well, I guess that makes it okay, sort of like a firecracker thrown at a cat. Boys will be boys, ha ha. |
|
What acts of terror did G. Gordon Liddy commit? Please name them. I am on the edge of my seat waiting to find out?
|
|
|
So, Ayers intended to blow things up but no one was killed except his own people. I see. So he was an unsuccessful terrorist. Typical lib who tries to explain away horrendous acts. |
|
"The weathermen alearted the buldings beforehand so they would be clear of people when the bombs went off."
Like all criminals, they started out slow and were working their way up. You note that some of them blew themselves up making a bomb. But what kind of bomb and for what target? Well, since you're asking, 'twas a nail bomb intended for a dance at the officers' mess at Ft. Dix.
As Harvey Klehr said, "The only reason they were not guilty of mass murder is mere incompetence. I don't know what sort of defense that is."
By the way, this is an interesting account of that episode, though it primarily focuses on the Kent State shootings:

those officers were killed during a heist which took place long after Ayers and his wife had turned themselves into custody.
the weatherman organization didn't even exist anymore at the time of the robbery
from wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brinks_robbery_(1981)
"The Brinks robbery of 1981 (October 20, 1981) was an armed robbery carried out by Black Liberation Army members Jeral Wayne Williams (aka Mutulu Shakur), Donald Weems (aka Kuwasi Balagoon), Samuel Smith, Nathaniel Burns (aka Sekou Odinga), Cecilio "Chui" Ferguson, Samuel Brown (aka Solomon Bouines), and several former members of the Weather Underground, now belonging to the May 19 Communist Organization (David Gilbert, Samuel Brown, Judith Alice Clark, Kathy Boudin, and Marilyn Buck), and an unknown number of accomplices.[1] They stole $1.6 million from a Brinks armored car at the Nanuet Mall, in Nanuet, New York, killing two police officers, Edward O'Grady and Waverly Brown, and a Brinks guard, Peter Paige."
notice that ayers name is not among them.
|
|
"So do your homework dumba@s before you open your stinking mouth.
I hope you and ayers meet a really painful end."
care to offer an apology for the above?
|

Capone wasn't at the St. Valentine's Day massacre, either, but he had some influence. |
|
to discredit?
Because they are based on emotion and not reason. |
|
Ayers as a teacher discredits the profession.
The only venue he is worthy of is an empty chamber which echoes his own voice. God knows, he loves the sound of it. He should be happy there. |
|
"guilty as sin, free as a bird"..by Wm Ayers.
If that vile, 60's MAGGOT and Unrepentant Domestic Terrorist who got away with murder wants some attention, he should have plenty of it..
And we would love to tell that Commie Punk, Academic Revolutionary Scab on society exactly what we think of him and his Scummy, diatribing "kill capitalism" Partner in crime..Bernadine Dohrn.
In fact, Mr Ellis Washington, a brilliant accomplished professional, former Law Review Editor and Author believes it is still feasible to bring the unpunished Criminal Ayers some justice, afterall.. through a well planned civil suit brought by some family members who lost their loved ones due to Ayers's bombs.. Wish they would! http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?pageId=74486 |

if I've ever heard one:"...a deeper appreciation of the humanity of every human being." That is, unless it's an unwelcome infant, then just abort it. I guess some humans are more equal than others?
The 60's continue to wreak havoc on what used to be our civil society. |
