I enjoyed watching the speakers at the conference. I found many of them very encouraging and informative. I was puzzled by the c-span banner that kept popping up that said "annual gathering of Activists organized to counter the annual convention of netroots nation"; maybe I read between the lines too much but wasn't that like insinuating that the only reason you meet is to counter the left rather than for the informative and energizing conference I saw. Just my thoughts but the banner seems a wee bit biased. Great speakers by the way. |

If all you can do is post your trash after each post here then you should find the door. If you want an educated exchange of thoughts and ideas then first, read the bill and come back for a rational discussion. Why not start with section 220-224 where you will find that the public option was no more than expanded Medicare. Those who TRULY cannot afford health Insurance would qualify for medicaid and/or programs for children like s-chip. Now, read it, be rational or be ignored. |

You are asking way too much of aubergine, if she couldn't post her usual crap she wouldn't be abel to come up with anything else to post |

The trash programs must be over so I'll post my last piece of real information for now. This is something interesting about how the public option would be paid for - can we say TAXES? directly from the bill: Section 207 establishes the HEALTH INSURANCE EXCHANGE TRUST FUND. Sound familiar? The social security/medicare trust fund has been raided for years and you want to trust them with more money. Read that section and see if you think it’s acceptable that the funds will mostly come from taxes, yes it says amounts equivalent to the following: TAXES ON INDIVIDUALS NOT OBTAINING ACCEPTABLE COVERAGE; EMPLOYMENT TAXES ON EMPLOYER and EXCISE TAX ON FAILURES TO MEET CERTAIN HEALTH COVERAGE REQUIREMENTS. Something else interesting: Section 208 allows and governs state health insurance exchanges. You don’t think is intrusion by the federal government where it does not belong? Something to think about : what is an affordability credit and who qualifies. This is in subtitle C but there is no definition. |

That was repulsive. If you can't have a civilized conversation, go away. |

So sorry you are so mad that your hero is crumbling before the onslaught of the people.
But to many of us, this is quite sweet. In spite of his 'manufactured' townhall 'happy crowds', Barry and his minions are in retreat!
Notice he gets shrill, like Barney Fife, when he is agitated. He just can't BELIEVE people are no longer taking him solely at his word. The 'great orator' sounds like a whiny, angry kid. |

There we have it, the usual weak response from one of the most evil thinking southpaws. Aubergine is a pure hater, she can't give a response without her tirades of hate filled BS. |

Patrice I agree with your comments about the conference. I am so happy I caught it and thought Matt did a great job. |

aubergine writes: Monday, August, 17, 2009 1:11 AM Patrice Funny, while you assclowns "trash" civil discourse at the Town Hall meetings, you just love to whine about anyone who trashes your pathetic, purposeful ignorance.
What's wrong, Patrice? Isn't it enough that you and your fellow witless rethugs have dominated the news cycle with overt, cringe-inducing stupidity? Isn't it enough that you have completely denigrated our new President with vapid, cretinous lies about his citizenship? No, instead you manage to annoy us all with your trademark duplicity masked as 'outrage'.
Please, Patrice. Consider replugging your gapping southern maw with that empty, ridiculous bulb you call a head. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Loosing the argument are you? |
