AP Uncalls Minnesota Senate Race
Posted by: Jonathan Garthwaite at 10:35 AM
From the AP:

The Associated Press is uncalling the Minnesota Senate race.

Republican Sen. Norm Coleman finished ahead of Democrat Al Franken early Wednesday in the final vote count, but his 571-vote margin falls within the state's mandatory recount law. That law requires a recount any time the margin between the top two candidates is less than one-half of one percent.

The AP called the race prematurely.

Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie said the recount won't begin until mid-November at the earliest and will probably stretch into December. It will involve local election officials from around the state.

Minnesotans
I feel for you if your president is a Marxist and your senator is an failed idiot from Air America. With these kind of voters I'm surprised the Patriot is still on the air.

Saxby Chambliss...
isn't doing so well himself.

I hope the fear of God is put into him. This is what he gets for misrepresenting himself as a conservative here in Georgia while acting as a beltway bandit in DC.

I hope he is forced into a runoff.

Ominous Finish
What a classically disturbing outcome to a horrible election.

The people of the USA deserve Obama and deserve Frankin.

All we can do is pray now
All we can do is pray now. It is time to pray to Jesus, stockpile weapons, and horde food. If you have assets withdraw them - convert everything into gold and cash. For anyone who hasn't, I would recommend reading the Tim LeHaye "Left Behind" series - this excellent book series does a wonderful job depicting the end times - which we now live in.

PC on the money
Yep - 500 votes is nothing. even if it takes three recounts like in King County Washington, the dems will find enough votes to win this. Unless Coleman has more temerity than most wimpy Repubs and actually demands a fair recount. Senator Franken. And I thought it couldn't get any worse than Ventura.
