Memo of Dems about Palin's Daughter: Bring it on

Everyone likes to talk about "the latest buzz" at an event like this week's GOP Convention here in St. Paul. Obviously, the buzz has been over the revelation that Sarah Palin's 17 year old daughter is pregnant.
I can't wait to sit back and see precisely how liberal Democrats plan to respond.
We're already hearing murmurings from the left that include accusations of hypocrisy on the part of a family-values-savvy political family; professed "concern" about a young woman who is a "victim" of abstinence-based education; and overall, a general feeling of delight on the part of Democrats who are undoubtedly disappointed that Gustav wasn't the Armaggedon they had hoped for.
To those Democrats, I say: bring it on. I hope we can hear how they would prefer that a young girl should be rushing off to the abortion clinic. I want to hear them suggest that marriage should never be an option for a young person.
Most of all, I want to listen to them pretend that a young girl getting pregnant isn't something that liberal Democrats ever experience.
Sarah Palin continues to be a great American story. She is a tough, compelling, amazing story. And what she is experiencing with her daughter is something plenty of American families have experienced and can relate to.
You want a Republican scandal? Finding out that Sarah Palin orchestrated an abortion for her daughter. That would be a scandal.
But no such controversy exists. A young girl gets pregnant, and makes good decisions. Having a baby is most definitely a "family value." Getting married is the ultimate "family value."
And every aspect of this story reminds Americans of Barack Obama and Joe Biden's pro-abortion stance, even when it comes to late term abortions.
So Democrats, have at it. Make hay out of this story. Bring it on.
You'll be helping the McCain/Palin ticket more than you can ever realize.
|
|
You also are sounding unhinged.
Yes, Sarah Palin's daughter is pregnant. There is no hypocrisy there. It happens in families. Only those without children can be spouting out about this--and they should keep their mouths shut since they don't know anything about having daughters and sons who make mistakes. Those of us with children know it COULD happen in our families (if your children are grown--it could be your grandchildren one day).
My daughter is a Democrat, and she is very disappointed in the Democrat party right now. She has several friends who were pregnant before marriage, and she thinks the Dems are being very hypocritical and cruel in this regard. In fact, she said to me yesterday--I always thought they were the party of compassion and non-judmentalizm--I guess I was wrong. I hate it that she had to learn that lesson like this, but I am glad she has learned what they are really like before she got much older.
Until Barak Obama denounces the attacks on Palin over this issue, we all know he is really just a politics-as-usual kind of guy. If the Dems cannot stick with the issues and quit making hay out of a private family situation--then they have a losing message.
They are driving people away from their camp with this one. Mike is right about that. For all of you who want to keep beating this--I am with him. Go right ahead because it is a loser for you. |
|
Point 1. I'm glad to hear that the baby will be born not aborted.
Point 2. Just shows us all how hard it is to raise kids in this liberal/media moral less world.
Point 3. Abstinence does work--haven't heard of one case of someone besides Mary getting pregnant using it.
Point 4. Cheney has a gay daughter and he was in the white house 8 years, so a 17 year old teen pregnancy doesn't sound that bad.
Point 5. How about some real news--like the gay couple who got pregnant by having gay sex--that’s something I would like to read about.

"And where is the father?"
Just because you haven't seen his face doesn't mean he's hiding. Bristol Palin will be marrying the man, which you would know if you'd been paying attention.
I believe this, by definition, is an example of ignorance. |
|
It seems the liberals newest attack on Sarah Palin is "How dare she accept McCain VP slot if she new her daughter was pregnant?" Like all the other attacks on her, this one will backfire too!
NEWSFLASH to liberals - attacking a 17 year old girl who made a mistake, however is keeping her baby and marring the baby’s father is NOT a good idea!
|
|
Judging by what Thomas Sowell states, "It is amazing the panic an honest man will cause in a multitude of hypocrites."
Liberals through their surrogates are trying to cause as much collateral damage as they can to John McCain's Palin Veep Pick motivated by their greed, and not in the interest of Sarah Palin position or her family. It is a mafia hypocritical type of attack, and is typical of people who have used manipulation and coercion to get their way by any and all means, as they suppose. "The end justifies the means." At least from their point of view, they do not mind disparaging others for their personal gain. That disqualifies them. They are irrelevant, to say the least.
Do we want a leader that allows gangster types to do their dirty work? If Obama was sincere he would have been more vocal to protect Sarah Palin’s rights as for anyone else.
Sarah committed in her acceptance speech to visit every place, every party or no party, but this despicable attitude and behavior of CNN on the part of Obama is to prevent that from happening. Obama’s following is just as uncivilized and is more to worry about than anything here.
But CNN is doing the GOP a favor by helping to vet the true nature, attitude and behavior of the Liberals. They are worse than LBJ was who ignored the Blacks rights until Gov. George Romney who was head of the HUB, if I remember correctly but LBJ did not enforce it. Lib service is lip service. Talking the talk, but not walking the walk.
McCain and Palin for Pres and VP. God Bless America land of the free. Free because in God we trust, and because as we live as we ought to live we shall be protected from all despotic nations who rule with tyranny. No Obama He is “NOT THE ONE” and never was.
|
|
There really would have only been an issue if Bristol Palin had an abortion. Most conservatives are not happy that she got pregnant. But we are all proud she decided to keep her baby and get married to the child’s father.
The only loser on this issue is the Daily Kos. The fact that they went out with that story that Bristol is the real father of Trig (the child with Down's syndrome). With Bristol being five months pregnant that lie they attempted to spread is physically impossible. Any candidate who blogs on their site or speaks at their conference will now be immediately attacked for giving them credibility. That attack was the lowest thing I have ever seen in politics.
|
|
|
When you said where is the father did you mean where was Obama's father?LOL No matter which way you attack this issue Obama will be compromised. The more you try the deeper you get the FEAR OF PALIN SYNDROME is like quicksand. |
|
"People who are self-proclaimed 'rednecks' are little better than blacks or whites who refer to each other using the N-word."
I think this statement constitutes its own rebuttal. |
|
|
point of this blog entry is. There is no reason why the Democratic party will attack this issue. The fact that some of the lefty blogs do is of great interest, of course, to other bloggers, such as those at Townhall, but the reality is that the vast majority of people in the USA do not care about, read, or even know of the existence of those blogs. Maybe it would be good for McCain if the Dems did attack, because it would make them look mean, but it seems unlikely they would be that stupid. In fact, I think Obama spoke out against this already yesterday. In my view, it is a personal matter, and should not be relevant to the election at all. The only people I can see being worked up about this would actually be some very right wing people who feel that it sets a bad example for young people. |
|
|
but in your case I believe it's called damage control. The cats out of the bag the libs have shown their hand. You are just another victim of FOPS. |
|
|
These sort of attacks (which unfortunately seem widespread among the Democrats' base) are disgusting and cruel, and the Palin family shouldn't have to deal with them. However, by showing a very ugly and very sexist side over the last few days they have unwittingly helped our cause. Every time someone attacks Bristol or tells Governor Palin to stay home with her kids, another woman choose to vote for John McCain. |
|
baloney that Mort Kondronke "lied" and said Palin was only for that. (He knew for sure) is so pathetic. I felt sorry for Mort last night.
The death party will hiss and moan, because we celebrate a new life, no matter the circumstance. What a lucky baby this baby will be, to be born into a loving supportive extended family.
Our population needs to increase, not decrease. The selfish, acared democrats never get that. |
|
For me, the Palin family decisions highlight the vast ideological difference between the Dems and the GOP. Obama said quite clearly that he didn't want his daughters punished if they make a mistake. A baby? Punishment? And his votes for the grisly deaths of infants who survive abortions, grislier still.
On the GOP ticket we have John & Cindy McCain who save an abandoned, disfigured child from almost certain death, and they adopt her. The McCains choose life. Gov Palin and her husband give birth to a son already diagnosed with Downs Syndrome. They chose life. And now their daughter. No grisly death-solutions for that family. The Palins choose LIFE. I am in awe of their values. I am now in awe and total support of the GOP leadership. |
|
|
it is fact -- only a very small number of people read any blogs at all (and, that, sadly, includes Townhall as well). What I am trying to say is that the blogesphere tends to overemphasize many stories because they all get caught up on responding to each other, but people need to step back and see the bigger picture. Another example of this was Obama's birth certificate. I happen to think the McCain/Palin ticket is very strong, and I really do not think this story will have much impact at all in the end. |
|
What garbage that Obama supporters and the MSM are concentrating on Governor Sarah Palin's 17 year old daughter who is pregnant before marriage. Pure smoke screen ! ! !
This is just another attempt by the MSM and Obama's campaign to take attention off to what extent Obama shares the black liberation theology of his former pastor, why he continued a long friendship with domestic terrorist William Ayres, Obama's involvement with Rashid Khaladi, the (former?) PLO operative plus the many other unanswered questions about Obama's mentors, advisors, and other radical-leftist/Marxist associations.
|
|
You'd think this was the first time in the world that a 17 year old got pregnant.
I made a mistake and found myself pregnant at 17. This was extremely different from Bristol as I am pretty sure that Bristol has a real relationship with the young man.
I only wish that my mother was like Sarah Palin and I could have gone to her and told her. But, my mother - being the liberal democrat that she is would have wanted me to have an abortion and I am dead set against those.
Way to go Sarah for raising a good family.
And shame on anyone who says anything bad about Bristol. |
|
|
If you are genuine in what you are saying you haven't been watching the MSM or cable news networks.Obama's birth question was just a blip compared to this one.The baby story is on the table and the libs put it there only they can't kill this one. |
|
Repubs and Cons believe pregnancy implies birth and life. The was no choice here. There is no abortion debate here. The child will be born in wedlock. The father is a good man who will do the right thing. Kudos brother!
Next... Your elitist thought that 17 year olds should not have babies ever, either says you do not understand biology at all or you hope that all younger folks who become pregnant are to have abortions.. Either way your arguments lack merit and thought.
And calling us Stupid, stupid people is what we understand as an Ad Hominem argument. Logical debate has rules buddy.
You are Obamas base. Follow your leader and we wont tell you Obama is on the attack. I won't vote for a guy who can't or won't speak for his base. Or can't or won't denounce those in his base that do attack a young woman who does not deserve this liberal attack... |
|
Actually you self proclaimed liberals are wrong about this column and these posts. There was a fair judgement posted on the Washington Post website. The comments there were nothing more than revulting slander, and libelous profane dialoge, so far below anything that even Ann Coulter can write. No; the left wing blogosphere, and the miserable socialist minions (MSM)have already brought it on. Maybe King Liberal will grade my grammer for me. |
|
JEF My main concern is that I feel that Palin did her family a disservice. Her daughter has sinned with fornication and is guilty of sin as most humans are. However, as her mother, she has a responsibility to her minor child which is to shield her from public scrutiny and it is enough that she is the Governor of Alaska but now running for the second most challenging job in the United States you put your family up for scrutiny and is this what her daughter and family need at this time. This woman was only thinking about herself and not her family. Had she been a Democrat it would have taken a whole new twist. Senator Obama and his campaign have done well considering this information in that he believes that personal family issues should stay out of the public. We all know that will not happen. When you run for public office, you put your family under the microscope to be viewed carfully as did President Bush with his twin daughters and their drinking escapades. I do not believe that this woman will be able to stand up to the scrutiny that this election will have her under. She is blessed that it will only be two full months until the voting time of November 4. Abstinence should be preached in this country so that these issues do not have to be addressed and abortion would not even be an issue. I feel for this family and I feel for the choping block that Joe Biden will put her on when the Vice-Presidential candidates square off in their debates. McCAin is 72 and has health issues himself is this who you want to represent our country if it comes to that. |
|
|
What? This is the one of the most inane articles ever printed on townhall. Who cares that young Miss Palin is pregnant? She's not the first and wont be the last. That's not the issue. What smells here is that if this teenager's last name was Obama or Biden most of you would have hoisted them on a petard. There would have long diatribes about the lack of morality, poor "family values" and the HOLLYWOOD mentality. Instead we hear compassion and sympathy. The Palins are extolled for their great courage and love. Reminds me of the dead silence from these same corners when Cheney's gay daughter had a love child with her "life partner." Where is the lysol when you need it? |
|
Palin's case is a great American story -- it is a great testimony of her values in face of an imperfect and adversarial situation. How did she apply her values in the face of her daughter's pregnancy and her own Down's syndrome baby?
How would the Obama's handle this situation? Would they consider it a mistake to let the babies live?
Our great nation is wrought with challenges and adversity. I prefer Palin's values to Obama's when faced with these challenges. |
|
...fer a while now.
BRING. IT. ON. |
|
|
Nana....agree with you completely. I admit I was pretty deflated yesterday when the news broke....only from a political perspective. We had so much momentum since Friday, it just sucked that something came up to give the media an opening. But after yesterday's media coverage, I'm over it. I agree with Mike, BRING IT ON MSM and Marxists!!!!! I was completely disgusted last night when Larry King was reporting on his show that Kyra Philips was up in Anchorage trying to dig up dirt on the Palins. Memo to CNN, CBS, PBS, ABC and NBC, why do you guys camp out in Chicago and report on the 20 years of the Obamessiah participating in a racist church, the 20 years of hanging out with admitted terrorists, living in a million dollar house bought with dirty $$$, etc.......why don't you freakin' REPORT ON THAT!!!! I could care less about Todd Palin's DUI and the firing of that trooper who should have been fired anyway. Who the hell tasers a 10 year old?!?!? It's clear Obama and the MSM are still running scared and the MSM will do anything but report the truth about their candidate. I just hope most Americans see through all of this or we'll be inaugurating a Marxist in January. |
|
Wow! Republicans have been decrying out of wedlock births for decades. "Destroying the American way of life." "Undermining the nuclear family." "Leads to crime and violent, anti-social behaviour." Now since it's the possible Republican Vice President's daughter everything is different. "A great testimony of her values in face of an imperfect and adversarial situation." Typical human hypocrisy. |
|
|
Shut the heaven up!!!!!!You sound stupid and ridiculous. |
|
|
I have no complaint about Bristol's decision to have this child, on the contrary, I wish her lots of luck. But I wonder how much choice she was actually given, both in the birth and in the marriage. Her mother is on record as saying that she would oppose an abortion even if her daughter was the victim of rape. Fine, that is her decision - well, ultimately it's her daughter's decision not hers. But she would happily also prevent other women who are the victims of rape from having a choice? And female voters are supposed to flock to this woman? |
|
"...Plus I am glad to see you say "everybody" makes mistakes I'm pretty sure that if Obama had a 17 year old daughter pregnant out of wedlock you would be sayng something ELSE entirely."
He would drive them to the local Planned Parenthood and make them get the abortion so that they won't be punished with babies. He has said that. Or these kids would go and have the abortion themselves.
" Two words: parental judgement. There are millions of mothers who raised their children PROPERLY. Seems like you rich fat cat republicans like Palin and Lynne spears were too busy pursuing their own goals rather than focusing on their family. "
The same can certainly be said about the Obamas. I'm pretty sure there are millions of Americans questioning Obama's judgements (from his partnership with the Ayers, MoveOn.org, Farakhan, Wright, etc), we just keep mum about his and her (Michelle's) parental judgement.
The sad part is that at 17, kids know that having babies are hard. Their decisions to keep the babies alive instead of taking the easy way out such as abortion should be applauded.
|
|
Sarah should go up there and talk about family and the family issues that go with being in one.
But don't beat up on my 17 year old or my blue collar husband - beat up on me. Bring it on!
If she says that - it will bring the house down. |
|
You just don't get it. People like the Palins don't have a choice. There is no choice for a proLife believer. There is pregnancy then a baby, then love and care. Thats the difference that you fail to see.
Just because you believe that choice is a fundamental right does not mean those of us who disagree share the same choice.
Next... The child will be born in wedlock and this has been stated over and over.. |
|
If they didn't have a choice, then why, in the announcement, would they talk of their pride in her "decision" to have the baby? That is the exact word they used - clearly implying that she had been given a choice and chose to have the baby. Which is fine. Your attempt to tackle what I wrote does not in any way address my main point - that Sarah Palin will allow her daughter to choose (if she did, which I doubt) but would deny the victim of a rape that same choice.
So let's think of a scenario - a woman is gang-raped, beaten, abused in the worst possible way and becomes pregnant. The woman is deeply traumatised, not surprisngly, and carrying the child of someone who would indulge in violent gang rape. But she should not even be allowed the choice of aborting the child? Do you really believe that? And do you really believe that women will flock to vote for someone who believes that? |
|
The child exercised poor judgment by getting pregnant but at least she isn't compounding the problem by exercising more poor judgment.
YOU LIBERALS NEED TO GET OVER YOUR HYPOCRISY!!!!
You scream about rights and privacy yet you refuse to give those same rights and privacy to others.
As to abstinence only education there is no such thing. People can support it all they want but with the liberals in charge of all forms of the media it is impossible. The peace, love, run naked through the woods crowd promotes sex in all of it's forms, not self control and it is obvious since their mouths seem to run amuck among other things. |
|
Ask consertatives anywhere and they will tell you this family is standing firm on their faith and family values. They value LIFE! How is it that liberals refuse to acknowledge that values are taught in response to choices as much if not more so than before choices!
I've got news for the liberal media whether or not a consertatvie family holds true to it's values is not determined by a teenage pregancy. It os determined by how they hold true to those values during the storm.
In essence liberals are saying a mistake of anykind from anyone in your family disqualifies you from public office? Which of course is understandable when you realize that in their way of thinking it is only "The One" who they deem worthy enough to ascend to the office on high.
Only "The One" deemed worthy enough to ascend to office on high.
|
|
|
I find it rather silly and ridiculous that some Democrats and media folks would give so much attention to Palin's pregnant daughter. Her daughter is not running for office, and it says nothing about Palin other than the fact that she is a normal mom who faces challenges like any other mom in America. I do admire her daughter's courage and choice to keep the baby though. Now, if you want to talk about scandal, just look at some of Obama's past associations (Wright, etc.) - not to mention his past drug use... |
|
I'm disgusted with the smear tactics by the MSM and the Left on this non issue.
As a matter of fact, now I've decided to volunteer to help McCain-Palin win the election because I would rather eat dirt than see these leftist scumbags win by attacking a 17 year old girl and her 5 month old brother.
I'm not the only one who feels this way - we conservative Americans are going to MAKE A LANDSLIDE.
McCain-Palin 08!!! |
|
|
you are living proof that abortions my be nessesary, and even valuable. To opine first that bristol has made a mistake is about as ignorant as it gets, for what one chooses for life isnt up to the "king" but to the life it belongs to.But by your logic I would say that perhaps your mother made a mistake as well. You libs amaze me with the crap you sell, and if you truely believe it you are on the wrong site, Id suggest the dailykos, its more in your line of thought ,non at all.To attack someone whom isnt running for anything but motherhaad as bristol is , well take about hate mongers, you are at the top of the , oops at the bottom , I almost said top but there is nothing lofty about you or your beliefs. |
|
Palin is part of a Christian conservative mob that has worked and to a certain extent succeeded in politicising family issues. As I have stated before, she applauded her daughter's "decision" to have the baby, but will happily deny that decision to other women, even those who are victims of rape. That matters. Palin is against sex education, when clearly and statistically it has almost zero impact on teenage pregnancy. Clearly it didn't work for her daughter but she wants to deny other children access to sex education. That matters. Palin chose to use her son as a prop for her candidacy - I bore Trig, therefore I'm a great fmaily person. Well, fine, but don't complain when your other children are also thrust into the limelight. Did she really think that this would go unnoticed? She knew that her daughter's pregnancy would become known and would be commented upon. Ge, thanks mom. Her decision to carry on regardless matters. But most of all it matters for McCain, who has proven himself to be in the pocket of the far right. A decision on the vice president made after one meeting? With almost no vetting? And he chooses someone who not only has extreme views on abortion rights, wants creationsim taught in science classes and has the results of a corruption investigation due out three days before the election. And that doesn't even go into her membership of a political party calling for an independent Alaska. Maverick? Complete idiot more like. |
|
his garbage...your logic is idiotic
keep spewing...you sound more idiotic each time you try and defend your comments.
And, to say that abstinence campaigns do not work because one of Sarah's kids did not abstain is idiotic.
Most American teens, especially after age 17, 18, do not abstain, anymore. I was one who did abstain but I'm not blind to the problem. Abstinence programs do help, and in principle they teach our kids the kind of values we all aspire to have...now you can promote the public distribution of condoms all you want and teach kids as young as 5th grade how to use a condom...but I'll place my bets on teaching my children abstinence till marriage and faith in God. And, I'll love them unconditionally if they fail to meet that standard.
There is plenty of evidence that abstinence education delays sexual activity in students and also plenty of evidence that a small percentage of teens wait until marriage because of those values.
Enjoy the ignorant bliss you seem live by...peace |
|
|
He is just mad because she is not aborting her baby. |
|
So much for compassionate liberals. Compassionate, open-minded moonbats? What an oxymoron!!!
God help us all if these intolerant people are the most caring, understanding people we have in this country. |
|
I'm starting a new website with a three fold purpose:
1 To separate truth from fiction in regards to Sarah Palin and give the woman a break
2 I have always had a love for Alaska and all things Alaskan for years and intend to write about this as well
3 A beloved Beverly Hills girl who along with myself is being stalked by a sociopathic career criminal drug dealer is now missing or unable to communicate with me for four days now and the stalker believes he is above the law. Although police are on it I need help publicizing the story and putting Robert Catalfamo away. His whereabouts this second are unknown.
Please see the site which is a work in progress at

You wrote, "A 17 year child should not be having babies period. She hasn't even finished high school."
Ann Dunham, at age 18, gave birth to Barack Hussein Obama. I assume your contempt for young mothers extends to Obama's mother too? |
|
You write of John McCain, "Complete idiot more like."
Wow - I sincerely hope your post stays up and is used by the media to highlight the "looney-libs" posting online.
You stated, "Palin chose to use her son as a prop for her candidacy.."
OHHH? So when Republicans choose to introduce THEIR family - it's a "prop", but Obama can trot out his girls and give them a microphone on stage, "Hi daddy", "Where are you daddy?".
What would THAT be called, Mr Bill?
|
|
You also stated, "A decision on the vice president made after one meeting? With almost no vetting?"
Gee, Bill, what level of campaign clearance do you have? Certainly you MUST be in the McCain campaign to state what vetting was and was not done?
Or ... are you just an angry lib taking your lame assumptions about McCain and suggesting they are facts?
Talk about being "an idiot"! |
|
|
Obama dragging his kids into the spotlight would also be a prop. I didn't say that I agree with Obama doing it either. It's tacky and tasteless and means they're all fair game, whether they asked for it or not. You go into national politics, you drag everyone else along with you, like it or not. It's part of the deal nowadays and you have to be prepared for it. That said, Obama's kids are what, 8 and 11 or something like that. The chances are slim, you must admit, that either of them was pregnant. Palin and McCain should have announced this on the same day that her candidacy was announced - this looks like they were trying to sneak it under the radar. To a certain extent they are tasting their own medicine - after all, wasn't it Rush Limbaugh who first lowered the bar to the children when he called Chelsea Clinton a dog? You reap what you sow, and if Sarah Palin thought this would be allowed to go unnoticed she is crazy. As for my comments about vetting - Karl Rove is going around saying she was vetted properly. Ergo, she was not vetted properly. The man is the biggest liar in world politics, which is saying something... |
|
The Palin daughter issue is just a glimpse to what McCain will have to contend with. Here's an example, a hypothetical reporter/McCain exchange.
McCain: "And so, I have a plan to allow both off-shore drilling and increase use of nuclear po-"
MSM Reporter 1: "Senator, is it true that your VP nominee didn't learn to tie her shoes until she was 8. And would you care to comment to the allegation (taken from Kos) that her husband beat a polar bear to death on a melting ice flow?"
McCain: "No, I would not. And I don't think it is pertinent to the campaign to discuss gossip and trashy allegations from the Daily Kos. And further mor-"
MSM Reporter2: "But what about the allegd incident concerning your VP Nominee's actions in junior high? It is alleged that she insulted fat ugly girls who couldn't make the basketball team. Would you care to comment."
McCain: "This Press Conference is over. Let me know when you want to hear my energy plan."
Later that day, the McCain Press Secretary issues a press release saying that there is no proof that Palin couldn't tie her shoes as an 8 year old, or that her husband murdered polar bears, or that she insulted obese, ugly junior high girls who couldn't make the basketball team. The McCain staff also apologizes if anyone was offended by any of these hypothetical allegations.
That evening, the entire MSM devotes its time yaking about how the McCain/Palin ticket has become overwhelmed by all of the allegations concering her conduct. Rumors have it that McCain is considering chaninging his VP selection. |
|
"It's tacky and tasteless and means they're all fair game, whether they asked for it or not. You go into national politics, you drag everyone else along with you, like it or not. It's part of the deal nowadays"
Please tell me why the MSM lays off of Chelsey even though she is an adult, and that they took Bill Clinton's warning to lay off her while he was in the WH? Ditto for ALGORE and Biden? The Press only goes after GOP politicians and thier families. |
|
At 7 mos. are not dated and look out-dated. Pictures dated of Palin at 7 mos. show a woman not pregnant, and certainly not after having four previous children. Women get BIG when they are preggers, so by all indications, this was 'immaculate deception' even to her closest aides in Alaska. Then we have the breaking water story, where she chose to stay and speak at a political junket rather than tend to her fifth birth immediately. She then flew home to a out of the way hospital to give birth, and the hospital doesn't have a report of a child of Trig's description on file there.
Now, let's consider this. Does a woman who cares about her kids - "family values", et al - FLY when she's in contractions? Does she stay and speak in front of a crowd after her water broke?!? Not only does this indicate a woman who puts her child's healthy birth dead LAST, but it says volumes about the woman's raw, unchecked ambition over family. BAD SIGN. And remember, folks, this is a woman who didn't look pregnant, and had given birth four times at that point. A baby does not stick around in a well-worn womb and wait for the mom to be done with her political maneuverings, no matter WHAT Palin may tell us. [Don't forget her penchant for fabricating, either].
......... |
|
That was the extent of thier research. CNN, The New York Times, Fox's Alan Colmes, and the Atlantic spread they slanderous lies about Bristol Palin being the real mother of Trig Paln. How's that for "Solid News Reporting". No search for evidence; no judgement about the source. Just a blog post with a few photos. BTW, the DailyKos removed the thread entirely from thier site.
Please stop the lectures about the need to vet nominees, or that this kind of libel is just "business as usual". You libs have no idea what Pandora's Box, you just opened. I think Obama's handlers do, but they will not relent. The damage is done to Obama's campaign. |
|
|
Hint: The Koz posted the photos out of order, and 2 Palin had 4 other children. I think she knows what's best for her children. Let's talk about Biden's son and the 4 million dollar earmark that Biden himself voted through in 2007, or how about Obama's earmark for his wife's company in 2007? She got a $200,000 raise in 2008. Any coincidence? |

Then let's consider the daughter who is *now* pregnant and marrying a boy who - until his page was locked down - spoke in juvenile expletives about girls, fun and f*cking around. No sign that he was engaged, becoming a father or had any intention of marrying and raising kids. Faux preggers, with a faux miscarriage coming up soon? Distraction from the truth of Bristol's unwed pregnancy that her mom covered up to save her RW idealogue career?
Yeah, lot's of questions you can BET the GOP/RW would be asking - no DEMANDING answers to - if this were a Dem's screw up. The truth is that people like Amanda have MADE this an issue aimed at others, and now must pay the piper for their idiotic invasion of privacy and nattering finger pointing at everyone else's indescretions. 'High and Mighty' meet 'Payback'. |

""Wow! Republicans have been decrying out of wedlock births for decades. "Destroying the American way of life." "Undermining the nuclear family." "Leads to crime and violent, anti-social behaviour." Now since it's the possible Republican Vice President's daughter everything is different. "A great testimony of her values in face of an imperfect and adversarial situation." Typical human hypocrisy.""
Do you have a teenage daughter? Do you have a Clue?
You idiot libs all scream with glee whenever a Christian has a setback especially a moral setback. You constantly try to portray christians and conservatives as "Perfect People".
We never claimed to be Perfect, just forgiven when we're Not.
There is No hypocrisy on the conservative side on this story, Only LIBERAL hypocrisy.
For the party of "If it feels good, do it" to suddenly find Family Values is beyong laughable!
You are turning into Parodies of yourselves, and that's not easy to do.
Keep it up libs, you're creating new McCain/Palin votes with Every post!

HAH. Distraction from the inevitable truth, right? You can bring up Biden's son - and we'll bring up McCain's. You know the one, he is part and parcel of a bank failure with a verrrrry suspicious undertone of corruption and malfeasance added for good measure.
No. Obama won't go here with Palin's screwy family dynamic, so I will - because I KNOW FOR A FACT that the GOP/RW, Rove and the minions [you included, JPK] would be all over this like white on rice if a Dem screwed up so deliciously bad. Limbaugh, Hannity, Medved, Coulter - they'd all scream of the BEREFT "family values" of the left. Putting lipstick on a pig and having it backfire so spectacularly that you could not make this stuff up!
Ah. It couldn't have happened to a meaner, more divisive candidate or his nasty, derisive followers. |
|
You wrote,
"Palin and McCain should have announced this on the same day that her candidacy was announced - this looks like they were trying to sneak it under the radar"
Yes - SHAME on Palin for not broadcasting to the world when she was introduced as a VP candidate - going into the medical issues of ALL her kids. We'll hear her husband has hemroids - and you'll have to think she was "sneaking" that one by us too, eh?
"Karl Rove is going around saying she was vetted properly. Ergo, she was not vetted properly. The man is the biggest liar in world politics, which is saying something..."
I see...."Sneaking" the daughter's pregnancy, "Rove is a perpetual liar", etc. You should change your screen-name Bill. Instead of "Critical" it should be "Cynical".

to be 17?
Because my parents taught me about waiting until I was ready and about how sex is a big decision and about being safe and to wait until I'm in love...Well I was 17 and thought I was in love and did it. I didn't get pregnant, but come on people...You all very well know that you cannot be there 24/7 with your children. Who says this happened under the Palin roof? Could have been at her boyfriend's house. I was allowed at my boyfriend's house at 17.
I don't think 17 year olds should be having babies, but unfortunately that is life and a lot of American families can relate to this. It isn't the end of the world.
She is making a mature decision and she has a good support system. Most girls whom have babies at 17 don't have the family and resources that Bristol has to successfully raise a healthy and well cared for child. Some teens are capable of raising a baby and giving it a good life. I've seen it first hand.
Let's focus on policy here...not the Palin's daughter's private life. |
|
|
I hear your mother calling. Time for you to turn off your laptop, leave your mother's basement and take you meds. Also, clean the spittle from your greying beard and fix your poneytail. It would also be wise to change out of your fading 1978 Led Zepplin Concert T-Shirt. I know it brings back pleasent Bong soaked memories. But, you've been wearing it since last June. |
|
The point is that the RW HAVE made family values their issue - they HAVE made teen pregnancies a liberal issue by claiming we don't take proper care of our kids and teach them moral values. It's the mojo behind abstinence-only, the belief that if parent's guide their children 'correctly' they will not get into 'trouble'. If anything, Palin is a poster girl for how the RW got it WRONG. Not only is Palin's daughter pregnant out of wedlock, but so was Palin. Yeah. A Family, moral values cocktail of unwed teen pregnancy VP candidate teams up with adultering presidential candidate. You've got to love it.
This is just more of the same breathtakingly hypocritical nonsense we've been uncovering in the anti-gay [secretly gay], anti-teen pregrancy [secretly preggers and unwed teens], anti-corruption [openly corrupt] GOP for years now. |

And you libs wonder why we say that Liberalism is a mental disorder???
Thge "story" youy keep pushing has been debunked even by the lefty blog that started it!!!
So, Bristol's beau's facebook has teenaged type stuff on it, Well Glory be!! Ever consider the fact that HE IS A TEEN??? You are grasping at straws here libs, just remember, those straws won't keep you afloat.
Keep it up you idiot, posts like yours are bringing on a Swan Song alright, Obama's.

Keep posting, PLEASE!
The more exposure you daily-kos nuts get - the better!
Keep attacking Palin with innuendo and spurilous rumors. You are sinking your own political ship. Reagan Democrats and Hillary supporters will remember what you did to Hillary and vote for Palin JUST TO SPITE YOU.
And just for good measure - how about you throw in "Bush-lied, People-died" and how "Bush planned 9/11" in too.
(eyes rolling) |

Umm how much do you know about being 7 months pregnant?
Because at 7 months pregnant I looked about 4. Not every woman's body is the same so that is pretty outlandish. I didn't even look truely pregnant until toward my 9th month. I had my babyshower at 7 months and in the pics you could hardly tell I was pregnant at all.
My mom has 4 children and was the same way. You can look at my mom today and you'd never know she had 4 babies. Most people look at me and cannot believe I had a child this year. Not all bodies are the same so quit generalizing to make a scandal that simply has no true evidence. |

Do you know that Bristol Palin went through "Abstinence Only" sex ed in school? Do you know the school's sex-ed curriculum?
Yes Mrs Palin supports it, but Can you Definitively prove that her school wasn't a good liberal school and told the kids to "Practice safe sex"??
A teenager getting pregnant outside of wedlock is bad judgement, but not on the Parent's shoulders, but the 17 year old teen's.
Did Governor Palin impregnate her daughter? No, some 17 year old kid did. Is Mrs. Palin expected to be with her 17 year old daugher 24/7/365? We teach our kids the proper values, and hope they remember them when it's time to make the tough decisions. If they don't, that doesn't invalidate all we taught them, it just means they screwed up.
I guess you think the Palin's should have dragged bristol out back and shot her or something. You people are truly MESSED UP!
this "story" just means, teenagers, since the dawn of time, often make Bad decisions.
Your messiah has said that Children should not be brought into the debate, how come you are disobeying the words of your new god?
Keep it up lefties, you create new McCain/Palin voters with every post. If you keep playing this game, by november, Obama will be wishing for Dukakis' numbers. (He won one state)

Your words, King... "The point is, idiot, I guess all those abstinence programs you cons favor don't work."
Response... Those abstinence programs we conservatives favor work every time. People get pregnant when they cease abstaining from sex. Explain how non-abstinence = abstinence. More simply for the mentally challenged, how does 'having sex' = 'not having sex'?
You reply would be appreciated. |

A few months back Britney Spears' 15 year old sister gave birth to a baby. She was Hailed across the country by the leftist press as a HERO!!
Sarah Palin's 17 year old daughter turns up pregnant, and suddenly the end of civilization is at hand.
I just hope they keep flogging this expired equine, because they're hurting the Obama campaign more with their rantings than anything Mccain can do.

Can Sarah Palin show some pictures when she was pregnant or had Trig at the hospital,or some medical records confirmed that she had him. That will stop the rumor. And in the next few months,we'll see if Bristol is really having baby in December.
Is the media[who's falling all over her] afraid to ask her?

The bottom line for most conservatives in this election is: Morally Straight Sarah Palin is a Breath of Fresh Air. Conflicted and Confused Obama is Morally and Ethically Repugnant.
I don't believe Obama because he changes his stated views to fit the political weather. I don't trust Obama because he has no credibility after retracting virtually everything said at the beginning of the campaign trail. I don't like Obama's lies about who he and his wife are in their heart of hearts. I don't like Obama's racist attitudes, race card and distain for other races. I don't like Obama's cold and calculating demeanor. I don't listen to Obama's rhetoric anymore because he offers false hope and doesn't speak his own true words. I also believe that Obama is very dangerous and will follow in the far left Carter MOS after the election.
Lack of moral, identity and ethical confusion is the one thing that insures I will be voting for McCain-Palin. The choice is clear in my mind. |
|
did fornication when they were young before they got married, their children will do the same thing also.It runs in the family, they say. Palin said that she and her husband eloped to save money for wedding expenses. What do couple do when they eloped?Majority of them will commit that sin of fornication, right? Not all,I'm sure.
I think America is morally bankcrupt. |

So liberal folks are always the ones about choice and charting one's own destiny? This is the group that gives lift to the assisted suiced "Death with Dignity" movement and not to mention, of course abortion for any reason at any time (think partial birth abortion).
AND YET, Whenever they talk about children and conservatives, especially nearly grown children, they speak as if the children are just extensions of the parents wishes.
With respect to the draft, they say things like, "Well, if Bush believes in this misguided war, why aren't the Bush twins over there fighting?"
And in this case of Gov Palin, one liberal commenter on this thread said that their 17 yr old daughter becoming pregnant shows that they didn't raise her right.
Maybe I'm missing something, but the choice to join the military is an individual choice. When I signed up almost 20 years ago, I signed just for me. My father, a former military person (as well as my mother, come to think of it) wasn't there to make me sign anything.
Secondly, the choice to have sex was the girl's; not her parents. Were it up to her parents, I have no doubt the Palins would have urged her NOT to do so. The liberal commentator speaks as if the upbringing of parents is inviolable, absolute, and binding. Do you not listen to yourself? What parent can GUARANTEE that their child will believe ANYTHING?
Further, it is an established fact that human beings have a penchant for exploring the very things that they are forbidden to do; Christians call this a sin nature. Some folks on the left, GLORY in that rebellion and yet here, Gov Palin is being condemned because her daughter has chosed to go outside of the instruction of her parents?
It just gets more pathetic and incoherent as the years go by.
Just say it: you want POWER AT ANY COST AND WILL SAY DO, (AND CONTRADICT) ANYTHING to get it.

__The left, and the demoncrats embrace of leftist, radical, ideals of individual pleasure being the guiding light of a nation, formed has a REPUBLIC, will bring about the GOOD fight. America has lost many lives, and money, to radical factions, and the irresponsible minions dependent on their voice. Where else do you find people willing to abort a viable fetus, but in the dominion of individuals who do not want interruption in their personal pleasures. Of their individual weakness, and inability to accept responsibility for their actions, they have written law to call murder legal, and subsidized factions promoting its actions. Neither one would be needed, without the other, and the left has staked their lives possessions on destruction. The turbulance, and turmoil, of destruction, whether personally invoked, or of an outside force, the entire economy that supports the left, its base, is of their desire to build on its means.
__Sarah Palin's daughter has chosen to take responsibility for her actions, and not let indiscriminant, personal, desires be the guiding light of her life. While it would be the easiest way out, she chooses to recognize the results of an earlier choice, and not choose of self-love. Her choice is of life, and the LOVE of life, unlike the left who will always choose of self, and the love of self. |
|
Well, King Liberal, either the Obama denouncement was lukewarm, or people no longer listen to him because I talked to several people at school today who had nothing but bad to say about him. They believe he is the reason all of this came out. I did mention that there is no proof of that, but I would not be surprised to find out it is true. He likes to have others do the dirty work while he makes his statements about being above it all.
Also, as a teacher, I work around mostly liberals. NOT ONE had a bad thing to say about Palin, but nearly all had plenty of ill will toward the press and the libs who are revelling in this (you know--people like you, KL). Many plan on voting for McCain now. I was shocked, and we will see if it holds. It may based on whether or not your boy can stop some of the crazies and their rants.
If Obama had older children and one was pregnant, I would not be judgmental because that is not how I am. You may be a person who only goes with your party, but I am not. You really need to stop projecting your character flaws onto others. I tend to follow the "What if it happened to me" rule. I would also think the press needed to be getting at the issues and not going after teen-aged daughters of candidates.
You must not have children, or you would not make the insane comments that you have here. My children are turning out fine, but if one did something that went against my values, I would not waste time beating myself up over it, I would do like Sarah Palin and help my child through the situation. Of course heartless people never think that way, though, so I guess that could be the problem with you. |
|
They are all in a lather because their boy, the junior senator is upstaged by McCain. What a marvelous pick for VP. Obama didn't have enough confidence in his own skin to pick Hillary because he couldn't share the spotlight. Seems McCain doesn't have that personality disorder. All man. Way to go John.
|
|
"It may based on whether or not your boy can stop some of the crazies and their rants." The "boy" here, being the presumptive leader of an American force fighting for his position, has king of the hill. It's kind of fun to fight the opposition, who have no leader, but of each proportion, group, have a leader. Each proportion having their own agenda, and their own battleplan in fulfilling it. The only thing all have in common is to elect a democrat, with preference to the democrat most capable of bringing home the bacon for them. They can only unite at the voting booth, and around the left supply train, with each one trying to cut the feet out from under the other. Born, and raised of the left, singular ideology, they all think they are leaders, and an Obama is only their puppet, who speaks when they pull the strings.

Why is Joe Biden getting a free ride?
1. Biden's Presidential hopes faded fast in the 1980's because of a plagiarism scandal... he lied and deceived voters and they deserted him in droves.
2. He's the 3rd most liberal Senator, and voters in THIS year's Presidential primary gave him less than 5% attention in the caucuses and primaries he ran in.
3. So if Democratic voters REJECT him as a Presidential candidate, I'm supposed to believe that it's a good decision for Obama to put a man American Democrats DON'T WANT as POTUS a heartbeat away?
4. Fine... I can accept that. But if "Trooper-gate" is a valid "scandal" for Gov. Palin and her family's behavior is also an issue, then how about it if the press investigates Biden's background... his brother and son are currently involved in a lobbying/hedge fund investigation.
http://newsbusters.org/forums/latest-news/obama-bidens-son- linked-earmarks-23674
"Trooper-gate" is news but this ISN'T???
I thought Democrats wanted to make sure evil hedge fund rich people are paying the same taxes as the rest of us.
If the press is going to do their own investigation of VP candidates... FINE! But please investigate questionable issues for BOTH of them please!
(Otherwise the National Enquirer will scoop you again!!!!! ;-) |

The only people I hear talking about Bristol's pregnancy are conservatives. They keep daring Dems to bring up the subject because none of us actually care.
Stop being so defensive. It makes you look like you have something to hide.
Sarah Palin is a liberated woman and a feminist (and pro windfall profits taxes!). How else do you describe a woman who's dedicated her life to her career? She would have made a great second on Obama's ticket. |
|
Liberals are so blinded by the Palin threat to the Obama-Biden ticket that they somehow believe that the best tactic is to try to pin Bristol's pregnancy on Sarah. As though Sarah demanded that Levi impregnate Bristol. They're (liberal rank and file and the MSM) looking for something nefarious or unseemly in Bristol's pregnancy. While they rant wild-eyed at Palin and her family -- like prosecutors at a Salem witch trial -- normal everyday Americans will RECOIL. While the MSM carry out daily attacks and think they're eroding support for McCain-Palin, all they will succeed in doing is make the American public loathe the MSM and the Democratic party they caper behind. The back-fire will be thunderous...and Obama-Biden will be down 17 pts in 30 days.... |
|
Simply for his refusal to support DOMA, McCain would have worked on the Obama ticket as well. The Log Cabin Repubs think so too:
http://www.gaywired.com/Article.cfm?Section=66&ID=20181 |

Some things are simply reprehensible. 1) Senator Obama did NOT refute the organizations who have spread the vile story. He knows his campaign did not promote the pregnancy story. He has not denounced Koas or MoveOn. He has neither refused their support nor returned their money. 2) Every time Gov. Palin takes the stage the voters will see the aguish of a teenage daughter. And the voters will see this happening to their daughters. This is now very personal. 3) Senator Obama and the Democratic Party has chosen to ally and solicit the support of moveOn and Koas. 4) Senator Obama, because of his weak response, will lose in a landslide and that Democratic Party will lose control of the Senate.
TS
P.S. My heart goes out to the child. |

How many parents raise their children with good values but the children choose to stray? Hmmmmm. Ever happen in conservative families? Liberal families? Libertarian families?
Bristol is a young woman who made her own choice. She is taking responsibility for that choice and so is the father. What could be more adult than that?
A 17 year old is not a child. And really, what is wrong with a 17 year old woman having a baby?? How many of our own mothers were "teenagers"?
Bristol's baby will be loved and well cared for. It's a blessing, not a burden. What the heck else could we want? |

Sleaze Merchant Obama-Ayers and the MSM slime merchants are the most depraved in the history of the USA.
Obama is running a FILTHY campaign

gawd;;; more proof how demented, pathetic, illiterate the democrats are:
HOW do the babies of the Palin family affect the other 300 million citizens:
THE ONLY ISSUE that is credible is DRILL:::::
Winter is coming: the 300 million citizens NEED ENERGY: gas to get to work to have the money to meet all of their responsibilities, and obligations to save and invest:

OBAMA makes us burn our food in the gas tanks:
Since obama has been in the senate our food and gas prices have doubled |

We are all Human beings, and I suppose that some Liberals are too. However, the reason there is such a gap between Liberal's moral choice and Conservative’s moral choice are conflicting values.
Liberals want to explore or re-invent the wheel. They do not want to be told what to value or to do and I agree that I would not want my freedom of choice arbitrarily hindered either. Your freedom and my freedom begin and end where our nose ends and someone else’s begins. Live and let live, to the point that my actions do not violate principles or truth or natural, divine, or social norms and laws that protect our existence, serve as a guide to harmonious behavior, and protect us against violent destructive behavior through, every family’s encouraging examples and teaching of children; supervision, positive encouragement, and lastly policing.
I am sure the there is some who feel ashamed of the twisted lie on “The Daily Koss.” It was a low blow to the Liberals, where some very good people are reflecting on what has been happening, and how they may have been deceived on other issues by the MSM, not so easily vetted for its veracity as this one has.
This even was a God send to the GOP in my estimation as it has made a lot of people open their eyes and see what the never ever could have imagined. That was how it was for me.
King Liberal, until we share the same, spiritual, ethical, and moral values there will always be this division. I hope one day the division is removed and mutual values shared.
Be faithful, benevolent and true to the best there is in you! |
|
|
Does anyone remember how the liberals kept 'reminding' values voters that Dick Cheney had a gay daughter and that he is for gay marriage. In fact Kerry mentioned it during a debate with Bush. This was designed to make values voters not vote for Bush. The same is being done to Palin. The libs never learn, we values voters value life and love people, even when we disagree with their choices. Unlike the hate coming from their side. Like Bushe said tonight, the Hanoi people did not break McCain, and the left's anger won't either. McCain-Palin '08! |
|
Hi Mike,
I don't think that you are aware of the fact that the 'liberal pregnancy rumor' dates back to March, and is based on the odd details given by the Palins to an Alaskan newspaper:
http://www.adn.com/politics/story/339576.html
A blog posting from April gives a fuller account:
http://www.bloggernews.net/115275
As the story - from the Palins - goes, Sarah went into labor while out of town giving a speech in Texas. But rather than go straight to the hospital, they proceeded to fly back to Alaska and drive out to a hospital far from Anchorage. Why? As her husband stated, because "you can't have a fish-picker from Texas."
Why the McCain campaign sent out a press release on Monday countering this story with the story that Bristol Palin is pregnant out of wedlock is a mystery.
Not very good judgment on the Palins' part, if their story is true! |
|
795,000 teenagers became unwed mothers last year. And 70 percent of African-American babies are born out of wedlock.
|
|
Nobody on Sex and the City would EVER make such a mistake. Did the Palin women simply not realize how inconvenient these entirely-unnecessary and easily-avoided rugrats would be to Sarah's political career? How much they would complicate things? How much of a hassle and checkbook drain the whole childcare thing can be? Are they living in another century? Quick trip to the clinic and "whoosh," problems solved. A little hush money to keep it under the rug -- they could simply have had Sarah's people call John Edwards' people --and everything would have been a non-issue, and just swell.
Pah! Has the left ever been more rancid than now?
|
|
I heard Juan Wiliams say Sarah should have been up front about her daughters pregnancy. Say what ? So she should have introduced herself and added oh by the way I have a 17 year old unmarried pregnant daughter. Do you libs have a clue how ridiculously insane you have become ? You remind me of my drunkin father. My sister got pregnant at a very young age. After my father beating her and trying to induce a miscarriage. Didn't work. He took her to school. He made her stand up in front of her class and apologize for being pregnant. Is this what you libs want ? Do you not realize how insane you have become by attacking this family. I will keep my faith in the American people. This will not stand.
|
|
This is so very interesting- isn't it? The "comassionate" and "sensitive" demonRATs, so concerned to "leave families out of it" is attacking Palin and a 17 year old girl. These people put a whole new spin on HYPOCRISY. Fox News is showing the cover of some worthless, tabloid, yellow rag- "US WEEKLY"- in which Palin's family is their fair game (US Weekly, btw, is owned by another worthless rag- Rolling Stone). Well, if all bets are off- let us speak of another underage, unwed mother- Obummer's mother. But I imagine the left would howl- only SOME people's families are off-limits. I suspect there is not one chance that the leftist media, at any level, will EVER act more grownup than their brain-dead, jammie-clad, basement dwelling bloggers. That being said, my advice to Palin would be this: Be interviewed by Rush Limbaugh, Brit Hume and Bill O'Rielly- those three have more watchers and listeners than ALL of the rest of the "mainstream" press COMBINED. |
|
|
While everyone is galvanizing around Sarah Palin at the prompting of the lefties demonizing her, Obama's message is being drown out by the elation of most and screeching of a few due to the attention stirred up by those who see her as a "nuclear threat" to winning the White House. Sarah Palin on the other hand before she has even given her speech tonight has captivated the hearts and minds of America. That is McCain's message.."Shake up the status quo." It's All GOOD:) |
|
I believe I may be starting to feel a little bit sorry for the liberals of this great Nation of ours. Self-deluded, they inculpate themselves with every word they utter, print and type. They are unable to find a presidential candidate with even a shred of courage or the ability to speak from the heart. By all appearances, they believe the best way to advance their cause is to criticize all who feel contrary to their beliefs, as by vocalizing their true thoughts and desires will only draw the derision and consternation it so richly deserves.
So sad, so sad. |
|
I want to hear Sarah Palin explain how proud she feels about her daughter being knocked up.
Lets face it, as a parent she screwed up. She knows it, you know it and I know it. |
|
Jackpine Savage writes: "We never claimed to be Perfect, just forgiven when we're Not."
But you have NEVER extended that same courtesy to, say, Hollywood liberals.
Or to Jamie Lynn Spears and her mom.
Or to Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky.
You have denounced such people as moral degenerates and blamed them for the moral rot in America.
When in fact, they're not doing anything you're not doing too.
|
|
Ron ROTFLMAO writes: "Lets face it, as a parent she screwed up. She knows it, you know it and I know it."
You obviously have no children of your own, or you wouldn't be making such an asinine statement.
Short of chaining up a teenager in your basement with armed guards and closed-circuit surveillance cameras, you are never going to stop that teenager from doing any damn thing she wants to. How obedient were YOU when you were a teenager?
Sarah Palin is responsible for her children, but she's not to blame for every mistake they make. They have free will; and being teenagers they are naturally independent, boisterous and rebellious.
I'm getting sick and tired of the moralizing here. ON BOTH SIDES.
Stick with the schadenfreude. You're obviously gleeful that a conservative is getting hoisted on her own petard. At least that's logically self-consistent.
Trying to expect certain behavior from a teenager is not. Believe me.
|
|
Dottie writes: "Yes, Sarah Palin's daughter is pregnant. There is no hypocrisy there."
That's not where the hypocrisy is. The hypocrisy is in the social conservative MOVEMENT. A movement which holds its political opponents up to a very high moral standard, and finds them wanting as a way to score political points. While not meeting that same moral standard themselves.
You scored political points over Murphy Brown. Monica Lewinsky. Jamie Lynn Spears. While knowing--but never acknowledging--how guilty you are of the same moral failings.
Conservatives have premarital sex. Conservatives have babies out of wedlock. Conservatives cheat on their spouses. Conservatives get drunk. Conservatives have gay relationships.
So stop criticizing Hollywood liberals, Democrats, gays, etc. when they do those things.
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. And that is not you.
|
|
"Ummm Maria - if unfounded rumors get around that you have genital herpes, will you please provide us a picture of your va-jay-jay to disprove it?"
You seriously, SERIOUSLY just made my day...(Not that that says much about my day haha) |

the hyprocisy and immorality of Biden's son as a lobbyist to his old man? Leave the kid out of it, you miserable excuse for a human being. You libs don't have the same courtesy to leave Republicans kids' alone that you insisted on for Chelsea Clinton.
Finally, there is no hypocrisy here. How do YOU know that they weren't using school-provided condoms that were defective like the whole socialist government you clowns espouse? You assumed, and that makes the first three letters of that word describe YOU. As for me, I am probably one also for replying to you bunch of deranged retards. |

I DO not criticize the Hollywood liberals for their moral conduct. You are one of those people who THINK you know it all when you know next to nothing. Quit trying to say what I believe and say when you are so utterly clueless.
I do not know where you get your crap, but that is what it is.
I know of NO conservatives who are the caricatures you portray. Why can't you just admit that you are gleeful about this coming out and you will grasp at any straw available to try to discredit Sarah Palin. YOU want Republicans held to an impossibly high standard while you believe Dems should be allowed to roll in the mud without comment.
Grow up, SteveL, it might help you. |

Liberals may have missed the memo on this one, but teenagers often make mistakes and exercise poor judgment despite the best efforts of their parents.
Making mistakes about becoming sexually active, incidentally, is one of the mistakes the Liberals themselves have advocated and promoted in their marketing campaigns for "sexual liberation." The National Socialist Predators have been doing everything they can to get as much young meet on the market as possible for 40 years now.
Being raised a Christian and having good parents doesn't create a magic bubble that prevents you from becoming sexually active.
Thankfully, some of those values definitely took root. The Palin family has shown a very public example of unapologetic love and support. The young Miss Palin and her fiance made a mistake, one commonly made by young people. They've owned up to it and are going to do right by one another and their child in a manner that has (sadly) become exceptional in our culture.
Being moral isn't about never falling down - it is about being a big enough person to stand back up and help others stand alongside you - like the Palins are doing - rather than wallowing in the dirt and trying to pull everyone else down with you like their Neo-Communist detractors are wont to do. |

Simply, if Obamas teenage, unmarried Mother had listened to the Democrats and aborted, the famous Obama would not be here! |
