Re: Ballooning Bureaucracy
Posted by: Kevin Glass at 2:26 PM
As Meredith mentioned, there are over 100 new bureaucratic regimes created in the Pelosi health care bill Here's a sampling of my favorite new bureaucracies in the health bill:

5.     Health Benefits Advisory Committee (Section 223, p. 111)

6.     Health Choices Administration (Section 241, p. 131)

42.   Public Health Investment Fund (Section 2002, p. 1214)

59.   Assistant Secretary for Health Information (Section 2402, p. 1330)

82.   National Medical Device Registry (Section 2571, p. 1501)

Ballooning Bureaucracy
So Jax, you ready to be a slave to U.S. Gov't? You will be if this bill gets passed. The gov't will own us lock, stock and barrel. They will be able to pass laws that tell you how to live, what
you eat, etc. etc. Not only that but if you decide you want to forego health care because you can't afford it, the gov't will penalize you to the tune of one year's worth of premiums. What? Are you NUTS? You are a communist looney!!
This Free Republic government was not founded to be the largest charity. We are supposed to be responsible for ourselves. After that if we can afford to help someone else, all well and good. The dummycrat party might as well try to pass a law putting the hammer and sickle in the middle of the U.S. Flag. Then everyone in the country would know what we are up against. Someone, gag me with a pitchfork!!

Native American vs Urban Indian
Like to hear the difference in those two categories explained by a liberal? Thought it wasnt PC to use the term Indian unless refering to people from India? But then why would Urban Indians from India need special treatment?

Maybe thats why they need a Administrative Simplification Committee? To self police their own idiocracy.

Jax Off
No one else was invited to the C-span covered event of writing the bill.

But please, explain how even more govt bogging down prosperity will be good. The ball is in your court to actually defend the bill as good. This is your chance to be an adult...go for it.

Agency #4: Program for Administrative Simplification.

I think line item one should be, "throw the bill in the trash".

Broken Government Indeed!!

In the Inner-City it is also the Fault of Broken Government, and Not the People!

I'm a U.S. born Black male from the inner-city who with good reason did not vote for, nor do I respect President Barack Obama!

My Favorite!!
The Program for Administrative Simplification is created in Section 115, Page 76. The bill then creates 107 more administrative bureaus and takes another 1914 pages to line out the plan.

Are they trying to be intentionally funny?

Obama is no ordinary liberal. The first years where we pay into the system but don't get any benefits out of it - the money will be used to buy supporters via contracts. This will ensure that the corporations who offer healthcare i.e. pharmaceuticals etc will get enough initial contracts to endorse Obama and fund his re-election campaign. The next years of paying into the system will be focused on 'realigning' and nothing getting done just like the past year of 'not manufacturing the swine flu vaccine' has been about 'nobody can explain'.

When will congress ask the whitehouse to explain why the vaccine is not available although manufacturers were paid last summer? Also, the second term of Obama will be focused on giving american tax dollars to the UN for purposes of 'eliminating poverty' - billions to Asia/Africa. And to the 'green industry' with Gore and other 'scientists' being rewarded while the Norwegian stalled wind energy program will be funded as a return on investment to the Nobel Prize (an obvious bribe unless you believe HOPE for peace is worth a Nobel)

Bet this money will go into the pot and get spent. The first five years of taxes will certainly not be kept in any trust fund. Years 5-10 will have a huge shortfall and of course they will need to raise more taxes. It's the politicians way of doing business.
tribeck writes: Monday, November, 02, 2009 2:53 PM
Who gets the contracts for
investing the public health investment fund? This is really about money being given to Obama supporters. More importantly, what is Dr. Emmanuel (Rhamn's brother) getting out of this deal. If Bush went into Iraq for Oil, Obama is reforming health care for profit. THIS STORY MUST BE TOLD and discussed.

Health Benefits Advisory Committee
Can anyone say 'Death Panel'!?
