Well, let's see. We have 140,000 soldiers in the region, who are very dependent upon supply lines that go through Muslim areas. We need Muslim country's cooperation to lease us bases with which to supply troops, gather intelligence, and fight the Taliban and Al Qaeda.
For starters, Muslim countries could ask us, whom they see as Israel's enabler, to leave, hampering our ability to operate in that region of the world.
The people in Iraq could either ask us to leave immediately, or they could resort to cutting off supply lines or engaging in outright attacks or both.
Russia, with whom Iran has ties, could opt to supply their surrogate outright with fissionable materials as payback for Western hubris.
Hezbollah could expand campaigns on soft targets throughout the world.
Iran could cut off the Persian Gulf access. The US Navy would attempt to retake it, but at least some war games have predicted major heavy losses for doing so.
If Iran and other states have chemical weapons, they could easily opt to deploy those and use the radioactive fallout as their provocation.
Given the alliances and entanglements the world has in that region, it is easy to see the situation escalating in a similar fashion to WWI. |

There are several escatological schools of thought in Christendom which would disagree with that interpretation of Ezekiel.
There is also the question as to how one knows God's will about an event that is not specified in scripture.
An event such as initiating an unprovoked attack against another nation that will cause innocent lives to be lost (and possibly damned), evokes in me a response that it is probably not God's will, while I suspect that you will try to make a case that it is.

Maybe you should research the fact that in the stimulus many illegals will be employed while our own citizens are left with nothing. As far as Netanyahu is concerned. He knows what his real job is. First and foremost it is to protect the citizens of his country. He also is smart enough to know that your president is totally incompetent and he is not about to trust the future of Israel in his hands. I respect the Israels for the what they have endured and I was happy that Netanyahu was elected. Precisely. Couldn't have said it better myself. My response to James was merely to say "dispensationalist rubbish", and that's really all that needs to be said, really, because it is rubblish.
During my early days as an Evangelical Christian (I am now an Orthodox Christian), I swallowed dispensationalism hook, line and sinker. A theological education enabled me to get free of that hook. Historic Christian eschatology knows nothing of the dispensationalist heresy, or even premillennialism, for that matter.
Unfortunately, American Evangelicals who are largely infected by the heresy become the natural dupes of the Likudists and neocons who understandably, given Israel's precarious situation in the world, seek to enlist the United States into proxy wars designed to expand its scope of security (and make the world safe for capitalis__, uh, "democracy" too). But as Michael Scheuer and others have so ably argued, at the end of the day there is not only zero benefit for the United States, but it merely fuels the anti-American animus in the Muslim world. Something we could do with a lot less of.
The neocons want to spread democracy and democratic capitalism in the name of American exceptionalism, the Likudists have only the interests of the State of Israel in mind, and the deceived Evangelicals want to "Bless Israel" in large part by supporting the insane policies of the former two. And so now they join in the saber-rattling toward Iran, not realizing how questionable their theology is in the first place and siding with policies that are inimical to American self-interest.
Wake up fellers. Get your noses out of those Scofield Reference Bibles, those Pastor Hagee sermons, and start acquainting yourselves with historic Christian thought and rational geostrategy.

An update on an earlier e-mail I sent out regarding how the Democrats intent to disarm the population of this country. Remember: This has been done in other countries throughout the world in the past and within just a couple of years of measures like this one becoming law, those people were slaves of the very governments who passed such laws! The Soviet Union and China come immediately to mind.
This law is sponsored by Bobby Rush (D-IL-1), a friend and cohort of Obama's from the Chicago area. The Bill is now in the House Judiciary Committee. I researched this guy and what a "slime-ball" he is! He has submitted additional legislation to get free or reduced rate telephone calls to/from prison inmates at taxpayer expense. (seems he has a lot of them in his district and those who live in public housing, don't want to pay for "collect calls" at home, from their prison inmate relatives) Further, he doesn't like the idea that those in his district should have to pay for prescription drugs, while their in the hospital getting treated "free of charge", so he's also introduced a Bill to get them free drugs as well...."A really swell guy", this Bobby Rush! Sounds just like Obama.

This Bill will require everyone and anyone who wants to own a firearm or now owns one to be a "Licensed Gun Owner" with the Attorney General of the United States (the states are now out of the picture and "Big Brother" will now be in control of you!). You will be required to undergo extensive psychological/medical testing, background testing and an unbelievable number of restrictions upon ownership. You can be re-evaluated at anytime and your firearms can be seized at anytime by the office of the Attorney General (Justice Department), "for cause". That means if they don't want you to have them. If you refuse to submit, you will be imprisoned or shot! This also applies to people who already own firearms. Does this sound like Communism to anyone but me? It is certainly not in keeping with the ruling passed down by the Supreme Court last year in; "The District of Columbia v. Heller, where the court stated, without equivocation, that D.C could not restrict gun ownership, in any way, as it violated the 2nd Amendment rights of it's citizens. |
