What Will John Kerry Do While He's In Irak?
Posted by: Mary Katharine Ham at 11:21 AM

Hee hee.

Hey, I just came from a meeting where they were trying to get some commander, any commander, in the Green Zone, to host Jawn Carri.

Swear to God, the CG is saying, "You can't tell me you ALL have things going on at that time! Come on!"

So, it appears that JF'nK will be coming to the Palace at the Embassy Annex and sitting around sucking up coffee at the Green Bean while we all try to ignore him.

Me, I'm gonna get a picture with him.

Via Blackfive.

Update: So, what do y'all think will happen? You think no one will show up for Kerry, or do you think someone will be pressured into CYA-ing for the good senator, P.R.-wise? John at Op-For is voting for total, Kerry embarrassment. Matt at Blackfive is taking the position that Kerry will come out okay, undoubtedly with the help of a complicit media and some serious cropping should the senator end up dining mostly alone. I think a beer hangs in the balance. Cast your votes.

As for me, I think Kerry will end up embarrassing himself either way. He already has with the brilliant idea to call the troops stoopid, then go visit them, then go sit down with their enemy. Doesn't he just have "President" written all over him? He should have skipped the Iraq stop and gone straight onto Damascus.

That was funny. Surely you jest.

What, exactly will he accomplish? And HOW will it beat Bush?

Bush flies over for Thanksgiving and SERVES the troops in the chow line. That's right Kimbat, HE SERVED THEM THEIR CHOW!

Maybe Hanoi John Fonda Heinz-Kerry will throw it at them. He IS pretty good at insulting them.

Sen John Heinz-Kerry at FOB Warhorse
I volunteered to attend the "townhall" hosted by CSM Donald Felt (Greywolf 9, our Brigade CSM) where our guest was the haughty, French-looking Senator who by the way served in Viet Nam.
I think I was the only true volunteer as most of the other soldiers there were of the "renta crowd" variety. Others saw an opportunity to escape from the motor pool or the SSA at least for a half hour or so. The young enlisted folks are critical of President Bush, but that hardly qualifies them for Kerry admirers.
Needless to say, the Command Sergeant Major coached the troops about what topics to ask and how to phrase them, but this was no scripted "dog and pony". The Senator arrived a bit late. I was a bit worried cuz the rumor was his duty driver was none other than the senior Senator from Mass.
I asked him what his opinion was of recent statements made by Mahmood Ahmadinejad. Well, needless to say the Senator was sharply critical of the Iranian prez. As bad as the Iranian leader is, as big a threat his regime is to regional stability, the Senator merely rambled on, and I couldnt help but recall Hodding Carter---Jimmy's unrelated state dept spokesman--who could be counted on to "deplore and condemn" the actions of Khomeiniacs back in the day. And verbal condemnation works so well on Muslim fanatics today as it did in the late 70s.

I dont even know if the Senator learned of the pack mules which were halted entering Iraq from Iran. When those pack mules were unloaded they were found to be carrying IED components. EOD guys have identified lots of IEDs as having their point of origin somewhere in Iran and its difficult to believe that these crossborder trans-shipmts of explosives are happening without the support or knowledge of Mahmood and the mullahs. The Iranians evidently have their own Ho Chi Minh supply route for the Shiite fighters.

John who...?
If he wears camo and kevlar, maybe some Al Qaeda sniper will mistake him for a REAL soldier.... NA-A-A-A-AHHH! We couldn't be that lucky.

Why doesn't John Kerry just go away?
Surely he doesn't think anyone takes him seriously anymore. Even he can't be that dense.

FNC Said Kerry Might Go to Iran, Too
If he does, I would give my blessing to Ahmedinejad and the Iranians to hold him hostage for the next 444 days.

For the common good!

As I said elsewhere:

The MSM crews there will first have the very small showing crowd close together for the cameras.

At the same time, pics taken outside will the (also relatively few) soldiers in a 'standing room only pic' near the (rather small) tent. 'The crowd was so great, many had to listen outside.'

May islam become the Democrat's tar-baby.
