Amanda notes below that both Hugh Hewitt and Mary Katharine Ham can claim the distinction of having been named Keith Olbermann's "worst person in the world." If one is known not only by the quality of one's friends but also by one's enemies, I can't think of a higher compliment.
What's always amazed me is the clownish narcissism of Olbermann's designation of his own political adversaries as the "worst people in the world."
Really? In a world where, among other events, Islamofascists want to kill innocent people, the Myanmar government refuses to accept aid for its desperate people, Fidel Castro has consigned pro-democracy activists to prison -- and, even in this country, pedophiles and child-killers exist? And Hugh Hewitt, Laura Ingraham and Mark Levin are the worst people in the world as far as Keith Olbermann is concerned?
If any high-minded thinker on the left ever wants to lament the degradation of political discourse, they have only to look to Olbermann as Exhibit A. In any case, his capacity to ignore real evil in the world, finding it only where someone disagrees with him ideologically, marks him as a profoundly silly and deeply unserious man.

Seems many can post & spew hate & rhetoric with relative ease.
Olbermann may not be the idiot some say, but then neither is O'Reilly.
Its like calling Fox News terrible, because they tell both sides of a story rather than focusing only on the "acceptable side."
The media in America today is as biased as it ever was. It just reaches more people.
But calling people names, is just plain rude. |

I've read that Olbermann's numbers have been dipping recently.
Thanks to all the right wing freaks who have stirred up all this interest! I'm sure his numbers will go through the roof. |

Excellent point, Carol.
The left just are not animated about fighting real evil.
They're too preoccupied fighting America, Israel, second hand smoking, "global warming," and...Hugh Hewitt !
In other words, in their Orwellian world, they believe they ARE fighting "evil." |
