Everybody is bashing all the politicians, except for "my guy,or gal" ( wherever you live). Their all rotten, except for "my guy, or gal" ( wherever you live!), and..not a gdam thing is going to change. Most of america, it is claimed, hates bush, so bad that "anything" has GOT to be better! Well, you GOT your "better", so live with it, for the next 2 lib senate,4 lib white house, years! I didnt vote for any of these morons. |
This swap is a criminal effort to stop any gas, oil, coal, coalshale , nuclear facilities and drilling to go on to make the USA energy independent. That the public just cannot see this is a horror. And the Pubs that voted for this were not only shortsighted but stupid. Gas prices are creeping up and some experts think that those will be at $3-$4 bucks a gal very very soon. Americans will whine but smart liberal Dems will blame Bush. Wait and see. |
So, what you are saying is that we will never have $4 a gallon gas again. Want to bet? |
This land grab reduces income from the federal treasury, reduces employment in the energy industry, reduces employment in the timber industry. Oil demand has reduced by only 3% worldwide in the past few months but what has happened to the price? You and the other said that oil exploration would only produce 3% more oil on the world market. I believe it would be significantly more. However, you and the other liberals will scream when gas reaches $4 or more a gallon soon as more and more of America's oil and gas reserves are placed off limits. |
"When the gas prices was over $4.00 a gallon and we the people were begging the house and senate to drill here drill now drill anywhere, and the democrats wouldn’t come back from vacation, this is truly treason."
Ever heard of the Enron loophole? Look at the correlation between its abolishment in June 08' and the fall of gas prices. We can discuss how stupid you sounded screaming "drill here, drill now" during that time while liberals were busy actually fixing the problem. Thank you Senator Levin! You don't even know who's really helping you, and its a bit embarrassing. |
But the general public does not, since the MSM will not report this at all. Unless people take an interest in their Gov and start paying attention we are all lost. There will be more and more of these bills giving away our Country. WAKE UP AMERICA!! |
you'll support reid just because he is a mormon |
you have ever said, period!
Can you explain the "happy balance between drilling and not drilling" for those of us who don't get the connection? If you can, that is. |
Reid land grab?
Only a sad twisted CONSERVATIVE could spew that trash.
This bipartisan bill contains roughly an EQUAL mix of Democratic and Republican bills with some bipartisan sponsorship to boot.
PUBLIC LANDS PROTECTION is a GOOD THING FOR ALL.
Stop your CHILDISH INANE SPEW!
Now if you don’t call this anti-American I don’t know what is. When the gas prices was over $4.00 a gallon and we the people were begging the house and senate to drill here drill now drill anywhere, and the democrats wouldn’t come back from vacation, this is truly treason. Showing how much the liberals hate the American people and care more about the special interest groups that fund them and keep them in office. They want us off of all fossil fuels, coal, natural gas, and nuclear energy. showing no help for the Country at all they would rather help the tree huggers, peta, global warming scam, any religion other than Christianity, and code pink |
between drilling and not drilling. I sure wish they would find it. |
So why shouldn't they vote with the Dems? They have nothing to lose. The GOP and party apparatus will not allow an unknown to run against them in a primary (or the apparatus will not support a primary challenger) so their seats are safe as long as they vote in a bipartisan manner to assuage the dems and independents in their districts. They will get favorable publicity in the MSM. They will bring home some pork to buy more votes in their districts. And by the time the next election comes around they know nobody will remember this vote. We, the Conservative Americans, have been after these RINOs for years and they continue to be re-elected. |
You do not understand when the economy turns and the cost of oil and natural gas goes back up Venezuela, Russia, and Iran etc., will have plenty of reserves to sell us at the top market price. One way the U.S. can help expedite high prices is cut back or better yet completely stop all oil and gas domestic production. If you are for change we can really believe in, think of the possibilities, with any luck Putin can help out the U.S. by applying needed discipline to us like they had to do in the Ukraine and Europe. Russia can keep the U.S. on the straight and narrow on offensive foreign policy decisions, by controlling and cutting of the oil off. That’s why we are in the great shape we are in now, a Congress that can see 20 moves down the road. |
Crooks in action. They keep making it and we keep losing it. We have an unstoppable Congress, and Senate, just like the left wanted. We only have our selves to blame. A very sad state of affairs. |
In Alaska 42 million acres have been grabbed and National Parks established. Not one road has been built, not one lodge constructed, no services of any type, just land being taken away from developers to make it available for bears, caribou, moose, etc, but to see these creatures you must be old enough or young enough to back pack hundreds of miles among North America's most vicious carnivores. Insanity and a cave-in to the radical environmentalist. You have been denied access to our nations natural wonders, natural resources, and potential winter recreation areas that could rival any in the world. |
whores, I mean. Maybe I should give it a rest until I can do it right. Sorry. |
is a better idea, Roy. Conservatives and all Americans who are fed up to the eyeballs with the arrogant abuse of power by our elected officials need to grow some balls and toss them out on their ears for not doing the job we elected them to do instead of building their power and wealth at the expense of ignorant tax payers who don't have the nerve, guts or character to run them out on a rail. I say Revolt America! And let's take our country back from these Anti-American money/power whores while we still have a country to take back. |
All of these MORONS should just get it over with and stop pretending and switch parties. They don't care about anything but themselves and their Little Club. They have No Honor.
Bob Bennett Thad Cochran Susan Collins Mike Crapo Orrin Hatch Richard Lugar Lisa Murkowski Jim Risch Olympia Snowe Roger Wicker
In my opinion.

you go bonehead reid and accomplices (including the coward repubs that didn't vote)!! i would like to NOT go to work and get paid for it.
roy |
These treacherous, pusillanimous thugs, our own House of Lords aren't doing anything for the good of the American people and the country, they are doing it for their own portfolios and I am willing to bet that these same anti American free energy are holding it hostage because the majority are getting kickbacks from the oil cartels. And they are so arrogant they believe (and given this election, know) the American people are too Stoopid to come in out of the rain. The American voters have attention deficit disorder, so stupid they thought because the prices went down prior to the election, alls well with the world and they will never, ever go up again in their lifetime, or at least within their limited time frame between bread and circus's. Watch now that Dingy Harry and his fellow travelers have locked up more energy, killed job creation for his masters Hugo, Putin, etc., the prices will go up faster than a hot air balloon and the fools will blame Bush. |
It's got to be someone who is off their prescribed meds. |
RINOs Here and RINOS there. I've had enough. This is exactly the same same thing that happened to the Democratic party. It's time for a new and improved Republican party. |
It is time to start a new party, if everyone who thinks like me and the independents come together we would have the third party. But i think civil war is the better answer.America nees to rise against the communist threat at our doorstep. The gun grab will begin in just a few months, there is a reason they go after your guns. Use your heads this is not politics this is war and they are winning without a fight. The constitution is not up for negotiation !!! |
Bid ladin is nothing compared to to Ried , Pelose, Boxer and Franks just to name a few they are probably the reason why he hasn't attacked us, he sees them destoying us and figures i'll save the suicide bombers for another day ! |
They are stealing our country without firing a shot. Wake up america this is commnism. They are underminig our ability to drill for energy. These people are the enemies of the country !!! The greatest enemies of America are running our goverment. |
...pathetic. Wish there was a third party that was conservative and had an actual chance of winning...anything...I'd jump ship in a heartbeat, I'm so tired of this.
They think drill-baby-drill is a call for nationalized dental care... |
Democrats are really starting to want to sprint down the socialism / communism road. They want to own and control everything.
It's starting to really get scary and BHusseinO hasn't even been sworn (cough cough) in. |
We have the names of those in the Republican Party that have clearly identified themselves as not deserving of the constituents they represent. They are almost assuredly the names of those who will by sycophants for Obama's destructive domestic takeover of our economic infrastructure and social freedoms.
It is useless to try to return Republicans to majority status with these people still in office, like their RINO namesake, they would still succumb to the Democrat agenda.
The following list of names must become the target of a 24/7 barrage of emails, phone calls, complaints, negative opeds and public humiliation for their despicable vote on such a critical bill that will have the effect of both holding us hostage to foreign oil and $4.00/gal gas.
In terms of their ability to be re-elected to public offic, they need to understand that their vote has made them an endangered species.
John Barrasso Mike Enzi Thad Cochran Susan Collins Mike Crapo Orrin Hatch Richard Lugar Lisa Murkowski Jim Risch Olympia Snowe Roger Wicker
I realize that Barrasso and Enzi were voting to compensate ranchers for livestock killed by the introduced wolves, but they surely are not so dumb as to believe voting for it in a bill like this is totally different than actually appropriating the money. Besides it should have been part of an ESA reform bill that mandated no impacts from any of the BS takings without compensation from either the environmental groups making the demands or the government. As for Barrasso's "protecting" the Snake River and Wyoming Range, he may well be sentencing our kids/grandkids to be under the rule of other countries to have any fuel at all. |
All of those who voted for this sham bill should be shot at dawn, after Harry Reid. WE need to oust all the politicians who are selling our country to the ARABS. Oil prices are low now but they will rise and we will still be dependent on ARABS. We need to have a revolt to make these politicains do our will and not their will. We should decide which representatives we need to keep to help follow the constitution and dump the rest. As a start I would recommend Reid, Pelosi, Dodd, Frank, Leahy, Kennedy [all of them], Biden, Feinstine, Schumer, Clinton and you can add to the list. I have never felt so sad for my beloved country. |
The soft headed moonbats pay no attention to what Russia is doing to the Ukraine and Eastern Europe by restricting natural gas......
Energy Independence.......does it mean anything now??
Naw.......moonpies have warm fluid running down their legs from all the great leaders they have elected.
Also, Harry "better off never born" Reid is in favor of allowing unfettered immigration and continues to vote against laws limiting chain migration and unnecesary visas......... Uhhh Senator......things aren't so great for the US economy right now........do you think that allowing more foreign workers into the country is a good thing???????? Most would say "NO"......but then again, its Harry Reid we are talking about........ |
Remember, Dem protocol is no debate, no discussion, don't let people read it.
This is just another way to worship Gaia. |
That fellow from Texas is still President. If they hurry the bill through the house, he can veto it. Do you think he would? |
Surely lerxst and Fox know this is Kimberly, aka Monkey Girl? One who constantly has to reinvent herself and the names she uses to denigrate the conservative anything? SSDD with her. Always in the form of Bush ruined the Country BDS. Tell me, oh brilliant Monkey, which way would you have it? A five month tax holiday, or 800 billion in devaluated, printed currency, which basically equals pulling money of thin air? |
I sure can believe some of those stupid Republicans, like Collins and Snowe - - - - - -but, Lisa??? Oran Hatch? Makes no sense. |
Had enough yet? Does energy independence mean nothing to you? The only people served by this wretched piece of legislation are (a) the "watermelons" who want to scuttle the American economy and (b) the coalition of Sand Nazis and Fidelista dictators.
I'm fed up with living under your rule. You are all fools, and I'll have no more of you.
Texas Independence. Secession Right Now.
And to Hell with the states that stay. You are the problem.

Drill here. Drill now. Drill, baby, drill!
Your bush derangement syndrome pales into insignificance before your short attention span.
That's right. The benefits of drilling here could take years. Thinking persons are looking at the long-term consequences of our actions. Tapping into our domestic sources of oil now will mainly benefit our children.
Continue to grieve over the loss of Saddam Hussein's rape rooms and continue to support his gassing of civilians. Continue to plead the case of terrorists.
It's you and your ilk, my Dear, who have brought this country to its knees, while Republicans apparently come to work to warm their seats and play with themselves.
Prepare for an opposition not composed of mollusks.
is suffering from high unemployment, recession, and an over dependence of foreign oil our "Democratic Congress is locking-up energy-rich domestic lands ...so they'll never be developed".
So the jobs that would be created from developing these lands will never be, the revenue created by developing these lands will never be, and we are no less at the mercy of OPEC, Chavez, and Putin. Wonderful.
Oh well, good to see our record deficits haven't hampered our Congress' ability to make port, |

When are We The People going to wake up to the back stabbing. This is the reason we are in the situation we are in today. The no good lousy SOB's in Washington selling us out. It is time that we take our Gov't back from these idiots. They do not care about We The People. They only help their friends and buddies in the Lobby and Special Interest Groups. They don't want to do a dam thing about illegal's , they give out H!B Visas to foreign workers to take away jobs from those that pay their Salaries. I for 1 am sick and tired of these worthless SOB's I say MARCH on WASHINGTON with MILLIONS of AMERICAN"S and lets take back OUR COUNTRY from these PIGS. |
NEED a REAL conservative party....... Not these RINOs like McCain, Lugar, Hatch, Snowe, Specter, Hagel and the other "gutless wonders"....... Looks like that weasel in Wyoming sold us out too..... As most of Europe, especially France and Germany, moved from the left toward the center on their last elections.... WE DID EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE!!!! I guess we have to learn our OWN lesson...... Frustrating to say the least...... |
I had reservations about Barrasso, but I really thought Enzi woudl vote Republican. Thanks guys you just turned the great state of Wyoming greenie with all red ink. |
Can we please all stop pretending there are actually 2 parties or anything resembling an opposition in Washington. These voting shenanigans are becoming tiresomely predictable.
Make believe there is a debate and people on both sides of an issue when all along votes have already been counted bought and paid for.
Is every issue already decided and the only thing left is how much of a show to put on? is all that is debated the final vote tally and which reps and senators are allowed to hand in notes from their mommies excusing them from voting a certain way cause somebody important back home might get upset that it appeared they'd caved in? |
This is the kind of crap that caused me to leave the Republican party. We will become even more enslaved to OPEC and other countries who hate us. But, at least we have "protected the environment." Give it a little time and gas will be back at $4.00 and more a gallon. But then, this is just what the Democrats and tree-huggers want. |
I don't know, and don't pretend to know you.
BUT I WILL GUARANTEE THIS....... You howled as loudly as anyone else this spring/summer when gasoline passed $4.50 headed for $5.00 per gallon. Read my earlier post and you'll see that YOUR party brings this on us EVERY TIME!!!!!
Imagine this..... The Dems: "Don't allow drilling off our coasts......" (all the while the Chinese and Cubans are doing it, just off our shores inside international waters where OUR oil companies want to drill) Guess what????? You don't have to imagine it!!!! It's Democratic Party reality......
EXACTLY WHAT KIND OF LUNACY IS THIS?????? |
If there is anyone on the face of the earth that is more repugnant, puerile, repulsive and fetid of character than Harry Reid I would be surprised.
Looking at and listening to him mouthing his pusillanimous partisan drivel is akin to watching the contents of a sewer spewing from an open manhole, and as stomach turning as imagining the activity in Barney Franks bedroom. |
was voted into the majority in Congress in 1994, one of the first things they did was come up with a new plan to drill more places and more often for oil. The OPEC Cartel, sensing long-term profits would suffer, decided to lower the price of crude oil so low as to make it undermine our efforts to drill for new supplies. President Slick Willie Clinton fell for this tactic and used this as an excuse to block any new domestic drilling. "It will take too long for us to realize the new oil, prices are low right now, etc., so we'll not do any new domestic drilling...yada..yada..yada." Yep..the fool fell for the OPEC manipulation of our gov't. Fast forward to Spring 2008. Fuel prices go through the roof (remember $4.50+ a gallon???) Guess what???...that domestic drilling Clinton "passed on" in 1995 would have long been on line by now. 7/14/2008 President Bush rescinded the Executive ban on domestic drilling. On 7/15 crude oil prices nosed over. Reid and Pelosi, knowing that the Congressional ban on drilling was due to expire on 8/31/2008, told those Dems that were up for re-election to support the expiration of the ban. Those 2 weasels all the while were telling all the Dems that they would reinstate the ban, and those under re-election would not be punished by their constituents on their votes. This "secret" leaked out and Reid/Pelosi had to abandon their devious plan. Now they have pulled it off in a "sneaky" kind of way, and when OPEC screws us yet again, (and they will), make sure you remember which party brought this misery unto you!!(the Dems). Also remember which party rolled over and played dead to this tactic!!(the GOP). ONCE AGAIN.....the rhetoric will be "it'll take too long to come on line, oil is really cheap right now, yada..yada..yada." How shortsighted and stupid our Congress is. VOTE ALL INCUMBENTS WHO SUPPORTED THIS SHAM OUT OF OFFICE IN 2010, 2012, & 2014..... |
Is there a professional, political, Democrat parasite in Washington. D.C. who is NOT hell bent on destroying America?
This is really incomprehensible what the American people are allowing to happen to our country!
This is pure insanity! Is there any way to stop this onslaught of Democrats taking our country into socialism?
The SOB's know this form of governance is, has been and always will be a miserable failure! Who really are these people who call themselves American Democarats?
ALL the European countries that have been under socialism are trying to dig out of this form of govenance.
Hugo Chavez has coaxed most all the Latin American countries into socialism. These countries will eventually realise socialism stinks and the people will demand Democracy and FREEDOM.
THE PROBLEM IS...WHEN?
is in full effect. they don't need sixty votes and never did.
At least they are unitd in voting along party lines while the GOP still flounders about.
If the Senate Repubs didn't have such a case of Stockholm Syndrome, this could be used against the Demos.... This bill will make us more dependent upon hostile foreign Energy suppliers ! |
That would be Party-In-Government. Nothing like a bit of pork to grease the skids to reinstitute the "Drill Nowhere, Drill Never" malarkey we thought we finally excised last year. |
"Brave Sir Robins" one and all.
Brave Sir Robin ran away. Bravely ran away, away! When danger reared its ugly head, He bravely turned his tail and fled. Yes, brave Sir Robin turned about And gallantly he chickened out. Bravely taking to his feet He beat a very brave retreat, Bravest of the brave, Sir Robin!
ps - ain't it peaceful today? I haven't been called a thug or numbnut all day. She must have an extra long shift at the frialator! |
is the only way you can describe this fiasco.... A lot of these Republican Senators in a former life must have been French Army commanders..... Nothing like surrender, huh?????? |
Well, I guess we can end the song right there.
With Republicans like this, who needs Democrats.
P.S. Good luck knocking Obama out in 2012, and keeping your seats in 2010. |
She is not going to get help for ANWR. |
Gee, sitting on the sidelines and not voting at all was really productive wasn't it? May as well have just voted "present".
20 Reps didn't vote, 12 said no and 12 crossed the aisle. That's 44 total. It would only have taken 41 to stop this bill. Nice work guys (and gals).
