Crazy Time
Posted by: Matt Lewis at 11:55 AM
Over at AmSpecBlog, Philip Klein takes me to task for my defense of Romney on the assertion that he exaggerated about seeing his dad march with MLK ...

Yeah, I mean, Romney never claimed to be a lifelong hunter or anything.
(That's why I wrote that Romney didn't have a "significant pattern" of exaggerating his personal background)

... Look, I think the Romney/MLK story is a stretch.  But I also think the McCain lobbyist story is bogus.  And I think the Huckabee/cross story is over-blown ...

With Iowa and New Hampshire right around the corner, it's crazy time.  People are getting desperate …

Speaking of Exaggerations
I think the Romney exaggeration that should be pointed out is his exaggerated affinity for Ronald Reagan.

I believe Mitt Romney's dad was definetely no friend of Reagan.

Mitt Romney had his dad on his list of favorite politicians of all time.

Then when running for President, he removes his dad's name from the list and starts talking in glowing terms about Ronald Reagan.

Is Mitt Romney a Conservative? Seriously?

Now that's what I call an exaggeration!

Cave Dwellers in the G.O.P.
If you notice the MITT HATERS can NEVER dispute policy. They have to talk about his landscapers, him being Mormon and now his father who was strong in the civil rights movement.

When I talk about Huckabee it's about increasing spending from 6 to 16 billion dollars or 1033 pardons including 12 murderers.

If the G.O.P. loses this election it will not be for lack of a candidate but BIGOTRY. If Romney was an ex-Evangelical Governor from SC with his resume this race would have been decided months ago. It's sad to see that the G.O.P. is so UNENLIGHTENED. This party is full of CAVE DWELLERS who are still stuck in the darkness of FEAR and IGNORANCE. These people really HATE Romney and it stems from BIGOTRY against his religion. SHAMEFUL!!

When someone tried to tie Obama to Islam, the democrats rejected it and when Harry Reid was picked as Majority Leader not a mention of him being Mormon. I'm just truly suprised to see so many CAVE DWELLERS in the G.O.P.

Matt
I have to agree with you. It's as if RPS (Ron Paul Syndrome) is making everyone sick.

Vote for a true Conservative, Fred!

Agreed Matt
This is much ado about nothing...Mitt's dad was involved and marched with MLK and we're really stretching to find stuff here...it's of little substance.
Ken writes: Friday, December, 21, 2007 1:43 PM
MJ Is Right
This is of little substance.

Let's talk about the exaggeration that is Mitt Romney actually being a Conservative.

Conservatism is definetely of great substance.

Goerge Romney was a liberal republican
And so was Dr King-both opposed the Vietnam war.

I cant believe Mitt wants to go there.

The lifelong hunter/civil rights activist needs
a keeper to elbow him in the ribs and interupot him when he starts tslking to the press extemporaneously.

George Romney was a liberal republican
corrected plus spell checked :

George Romney wasa liberla Republican, and Dr King was also a liberal-but
not a republican.

I can’t believe Mitt wants to go there.

The lifelong hunter/civil rights activist needs
a keeper to elbow him in the ribs and interrupt him when he starts talking to the press extemporaneously.
