Neo, Long as I can see the light..
You know what I mean, old dog |
Instead of railing against the 'tards, you offer some light. Brob: Take note of Neo's recommendations. After you're finished reading, send them on to Obama. |
First of all, this thread is about the comparison between Carter and Obama. It has nothing to do with what I or you or any poster has read. It has to do with what Obama has read.
I will stipulate that the mistakes-were-made mistakes admitted to by the Bush Administration were made in part because of lack of knowledge of the Islamic world. More the reason to make diligent inquiry to what Obama has read. My point was he doesn't give us confidence that he knows what he's talking about any more than Bush or Carter.
Since he has no track record, it would be nice to know what he knows at least.
As for No God but God, I have not read it. I assume it explains the difference between modern Islamists, who want to harmonize Islam with the ideal of democracy and human rights....and old school Islam that wants to world to submit (I do know that Islam means submission) to Allah's law.
I owe Mitt an apology for evoking his name. He has often spoken of defeating the jihadists by appealing to moderate, modern Islam. And I wasn't really speaking specifically of Iran, at any rate.
Have you read Islam and the Crusades by Robert Spencer? We could play tit for tat about who's read what and the credibility of the authors. It's hardly the point.
The point is what do the candidates know and what do they intend to do about it? I don't hear that from Obama. Maybe you could enlighten him.
PS: As for reformed Islam, if I am to believe it, I shouldn't have to read a book. Reformed, democratic, civil rights Islam should be shouting their anti-terror, anti-jihad, pro-democracy, pluralist society message from the roof tops. To my knowledge they are not.
If cons are amazingly vapid retards, let Obama enlighten us.

It's gettin' like the Langoliers here..you know, the Bangor airport, where the sandwiches and soda pop were flat, cigarette didn't smoke, etc. Dead stillness in the air, while the world is changing. Don't wait for MaryStella's blank verse, You guys better run for the plane... |
GOTCHA!!...After finding 2-granules of flysh!t in the bottom of the sugar bowl. By the by, the great Dr.Bernard Lewis--always worth reading any of his many books--is a very strong supporter of President Bush and has been a quietly announced guest at the White House many times over the past 6 1/2 years. I'd advise beginning with his highly readable monographs of recent years, "What Went Wrong?" and "The Rise of Militant Islam" and then some others like,"The Arabs in History"(his first book, 1949)and"Islam and the West"...Bro-Bay should read a tad more of Lewis than he "claims" to have read. |
...or especially not the Marines....
But you knew what I meant. |
Now not even the Marines (or not especially the Marines) are safe in West LA. |
Now, there's a notion! Yep, Girls of all kinds of Left on that side of town. Some...are even Female! :-D
Welcome aboard. |
in the weee hours whilst Neo was watching 'House's final episode of the season, baseball(No-Hitter by Cancer Survivor John Lester in Boston!), Cubbies doing Bad to Houston and blowing out 104 candles prepared by the Minxish Missus Neo.
Duddsie...ME, restore order?! BWHAAAAAAAA! We got no stinkin' Jefes in the Cabal, Bubba. K.G. covered the Ish-Shoe nicely as did Paddy. And, Princess MaryStella slapped some snot outta your contingent whilst being, as ever, MaryStellaesque.
A86..The Yeller Dog may rank up near the Hogs eating Baby Sister, Dude. Does your delicacy know no limits?
Joe..Israel won't sit on their hands long IF we don't act against the weekly advertised and flaunted Iranian Nuke development. I continue to hope that we--not, they--will handle the situation. The downside-negatives are strong if they take care of it. The Iranian guys-on-the-street, who quietly despise the Mullahs, wouldn't support an attack by the Jews. They would, however, be doing(behind closed doors)High Fives if the U.S. takes the necessary 15K Bunker Buster actions. 'W' is probably going to let McJuan handle it. BUT, if B.Hussein Obama did the unthinkable and won in November, I think the Prez. might very well end the problemo in December. Ba-Da-Bing. Like Dat. |
Libtards would open the screen door after the hornet's nest is knocked down. Just ask Obammy how that works out for those foolish enough to do it? |
In retrospect, Israel should never have bombed Saddam's nuke plant. Israel should have used its powers of persuasion and sat down with Saddam, without preconditions but with preparations, to find common ground forward. |
You are indeed a great Blessing. Thanks for the compliment. Someone has to remind Barack Hussein, the "Tiny" Insects outlast the dinosaurs! Never underestimate! |
and negotiating with tyrants as equals is appeasement. JFK did not negotiate with Castro. That would have been appeasement. JFK did not negotiate with Ho Chi Minh. That would have been appeasement. LBJ did, lowered the military threat, and let the commies dictate the terms. Then the dhimmies of the early 1970's left our friends in South Vietnam with no way to defend themselves. That was the result of appeasement. Millions of our friends in Vietnam died thanks to taking that fork in the road. Obama knows exactly what he is up to. Why did he howl like a scalded dog at the mere mention of it? Because he knows what he is doing is indistinguishable from appeasement.
Heartfelt Felicitation, good friend. God Bless. |
I knew you wouldn't fail us. |
Israel strikes at the Iranian nuke facilities prior to Bush steping down. They are not waiting for the risk of Obama giving them a stern rebuke and letting Israel end up looking like something at the bottom of your charcoal grill. |

"Glad to have Neo moniker company, Friend. My mugging by reality dates from '78-'81, having come from the Lib-Left side of the aisle. Didn't finally re-register Repub until 2006 when we moved from The Peoples Republic of L.A. to Central Florida. Yours?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Twenty plus years ago, got out of the Corps and went to college...hung out in West LA and had quite LIB views. Was madly in love with a hot babe who was an English major. But she went hard left, began attending militant rallies, and just became very angry. What is it with English majors that they become so LIB? Twenty years later, she's just average, still very angry, and even more left. Glad it didn't work out. Today, some of my best friends are LIBs. Go figure. |

named "Atheist Pervert." He was a stupid pain in the a55 too. A card carrying dimocrat.
So, being as humane as I could, I tied a cinder block to his choke chain and baptized him in the Raccoon River. He's still at the revival, Praise the Lord. |
talking with Iran, Cuba, and North Korea, I get a flashback of British Prime Minister Chamberlain waving a paper with Hitler's signature promising "Peace In Our Time"...
Anyone over the age of 14 who believes that we can avoid fighting without just surrendering ought not to be allowed around open flames, much less to hold public office. |
....blowing out the candles on this anniversary of his birth, allow me to stand in for the moment. I believe in these circumstances, Neo would refer back to dud and say...."You go down there, dud...!" Nite all...... |

brighter and more pleasant that some of the folks blogging for him.
That being said, he really is an idiot. |

"Tiny" Iran Supports: Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, Supplies manufactured IEDs used against our troops in Iraq, runs training camps for terrorist/insurgents. This Tiny 'TINY' IRAN! Has a "nuclear weapons program" Has uranium conversion facility at Isfahan, the heavy water reactor under construction at Arak, other sensitive facilities, Natanz that has been the focus of international concern, another, Bushehr nuclear reactor in Tiny Iran. Oh, yes, Tiny Iran, is equipped with 3 Shahab-3 missles with a range of 1,250 miles, and Israel is 652 miles of west of Iran. Tiny Iran with its Islamic mullah regime, Is the greatest Menace in the Middles East, they are allowed to kill our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, supplying weapons and logistical support to the extrimist groups in Lebanon (Hezbollah etc.) Tiny Iran, will develop the Bomb, under Obama's peaceful observation and purposes. Yes, with Obama's aid Ahmadinejad mission will be accomplished which is to bring the 12th Imam [Mahdi}, back through Armageddon! (the final war) and convert the world to Islam, (Which includes return of the prophets Moses and Jesus, & their conversion to Islam). This is Ahmadinejad core belief. The good news the Iranian people are fed up with the mullahs. The prisons are full of Iranian young students. The government is hated by the tiny Iranian people. Presently, the sanctions are working against Iran. I am sure, If Obama, embrace his talks, with "Tiny" Iran, as President Hussein; then all dimplomatic channels will smoothly utlize, with the Islamic Republic of "tiny" Iran! |
You still here? Yes, we could use the balm of Mary Stella about now.
You are looking to Neo to restore order? You are definitely delusional. It's his mission to shake you out of your orderly delusions. |
man, this thread needs a psychiatrist. Ever'body's unconscious life emerging here. Obama ain't even elected yet, he's already the worst president we ever had. Neo, you the straw boss here. You don't restore some order, Marystella will come along and see this and write a poem. |
"2nd Imam" and walked eyes-wide-shut into Comrade Bro-Bay's fan blades for finding flysh!t in the very bottom of the sugar bowl and shrilling, "Gotcha!"
Glad to have Neo moniker company, Friend. My mugging by reality dates from '78-'81, having come from the Lib-Left side of the aisle. Didn't finally re-register Repub until 2006 when we moved from The Peoples Republic of L.A. to Central Florida. Yours?
Comrades Bro-Bay & Dreadski would get hundreds of thousands killed and say,"Who needed all those damn Jews, anyway?"
Fascinated to see that Bro-Bay has talked himself into believing that The Mullahs are milder and more reasonable than Akhmaspitooey. What a bleak, inexcusable joke. |
Blob needs to pick at your typing because there is no way she can defend Obama. |
Hey Brog, my bad. I knew after I submitted it that it was the wrong Imam. Didn't have a chance until now to review and submit correction.
Sincerely,
Moron |
Hey Neo, I changed my nickname from casadchata to neoconphile because NeoConScum was already taken. |
McCain should drop out, and let one of the Republicans have the GOP nomination. |
Hugh's comments: I note that Obama's comments came only a day after his private meeting with a senior Shia leader in the U.S., Hassan Qazwini, detailed by Powerline and others. Qazwini clearly does not believe that Iran is a threat in the region, and his remarks in a joint appearance with Juan Cole give you a sense of the sort of advice he offered Obama in their sit-down. Clearly Qazwini got his points across with Obama.
Once again Obama proves he doesn’t have a backbone. Obama is like the gentle lamb trotting into the forest not understanding who is his friend or foe. That may make for a simple reality, an easy dinner for those who find him prey, and disastrous as the leader of the free world.

yes, thats right, a liberal says so, so it must be so, of course for the last 16 years they told us that the Clinton's were a wonderful couple, virtuous, never lied, only wanted what was best for the country, one of the country's, 2 or 3 greatest Presidents, 65% approval rating, right Mr. Fool, you will be one of those fools voting for a fool, won't you, stands to reason, you voted for the Clinton's twice, didn't cha', Mr. Fool, your opinion really has a lotta' weight around here, considering your past opinions. |
dirt bags told us of the error of our ways concerning the Clinton's, now they extol the virtues of the Muslim family, the Hussein's, excuse us but your track record is poor, you now know all about the Clinton's, don't cha', and they ain't through with you yet, oh no, not by a long shot, theres more rain in those clouds, enough to get them to the Denver riots, also known as the miscreant convention, where i'm sure they will have something for ya', i can't wait to see, what. |
for decades. But will never forget the scene between Jack & Custer above the Little Big Horn!! Priceless. |
...Let's see...The aforementioned Dr.Bernard Lewis, who by-the-by, has been a low-profile guest at the Evil Booooosh White House many, many times in the past 6 1/2 years. IF, as you claim, you take Dr.Lewis seriously, Comrade Bro-Bay, you cannot be holding the absolutely daft positions you claim to be holding. Dr.Fouad Ajami of Johns Hopkins and Dr.Efraim Karsch, amongst others.
The Vacuosity expressed by the choose-to-be-ignorant-to-History's-lessons Crowd who wonder how in the world me & mine can be advising 25K Bunker Busting solutions sooner, rather than later, are inexcusably IGNORANT. Dig the Sh!t outta the old Leftoid ears, Babycakes...AND, the eyes, as well. It's THE Iranians we're listening to. We are taking their word seriously. Imagine 1938 Flashback Man!! President Ahkmahspitooey threatened Israel with extinction as recently--AGAIN--as last effing week.
Dont'cha worry, Bro-Bay. IF the impossible happens and B.Hussein O'Bammy wins, the problem won't linger. The Evil Boooosh will unleash the Bunker Busters by December. Endo-Problemo. |
and it will be soon, Bush, Cheney's move into Iraq, will look brilliant because we cannot be held hostage for oil, thats right, most of this Iraq War was for oil, we are there ad infinitum, and you know what, blojob, if by some miracle "the wimp" becomes POTUS, he ain't leavin' either, and you nut bags will go crazy, too, its almost worth it just to see that, but, we are in Iraq for good, right near that oil, whether lead by a Republican or a democrat, it makes NO difference, oh, hows that for punctuation, blojob?
Vote obama, fools voting for a fool. |
Iran is not a threat. Just ask the Military.
Oh wait, a reporter already did.
That's right. Seems when the Iranians took the British soldiers hostage awhile back a CNN reporter interviewed a U.S. Navy commander on the scene. He asked the Navy commander about Iran's threat.
The Navy commander said, (and I quote)"We could eliminate their entire navy, airforce and airports in two days."
That's right. Iran has a total of two military warships and a few dozen airplanes.
So, to believe Iran is a threat, one has to believe that Iran is STUPID enough to use a nuclear weapon on Israel (because Iran has no way of delivering a missle to U.S. soil) and could fend off the U.S. and U.N.
Ha ha ha! Iran is so not threat.
The sad part is we've seen this "we don't want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud" act one too many times already.
Thank God! the citizens of the U.S. are not STUPID enough to fall for it again.
Talk about "the sky is falling." It is laughably ironic that the conservatives mock the liberals for yelling "the sky is falling" with respect to global warming when in fact conservatives already yelled "the nuclear sky is falling" with respect to Iraq and that will cost us 3 trillion dollars. Who knows how many trillions Iran would cost us.
What a joke. But keep on saying the sky is falling. Who knows, Americans were silly enough to fall for it once. Maybe you'll get lucky and they'll fall for it again.

over his head, he must share a mother with the blojob, this guy is so dense when it comes to this country's enemy's, they have to be salivating with the prospect of an administration headed by this chump, the only way you get to someone less qualified, would be to nominate, blojob, shes the only person less qualified, but seriously, the thought of this fool, in charge of National Security, is to say the least, the thing that keeps one up at night, how in the world did someone like this, get this close to the highest office in the world, is this the best that this country has to offer, Lord help us, if it is, truly, the educational establishment in this country has done its job well, a bunch of fools, voting for a fool. |
scholar, schooling us Islam, thats rich, just rich, and what in the heck are you talking about Christian rapture is somehow the same as the 12th Imam in that neither want to start war to bring about an end, your right fool Christians don't, but Ahmindinutter does, moron, thats why hes a loose cannon, hes got it in his head that he is "the one" to bring it about, your the MORON, your even less lucid today than normal, you must have been on one of your benders last night, do us all a favor, next time, give it a day, okay, bless the Lord, you are a complete FOOL, how does someone like you get to be you, how does that happen, what does one have to do, the Lord only knows..... |
There you go again: Attacking Neo, Bush, me, Mitt, and cons in general for our ignorance. Well, we are not running for POTUS. Obama is.
Attacking us is not defending BHO.
BTW: You have never heard me defend Bush. And I've never heard anyone here defend Obama.
A Bush-attack is not an Obama-defense. |
Just curious, have you seen "Little Big Man" lately? While we're reading the Koran, I wonder what it says about martyrdom. Seems like an awful lot of these young, male desert dwellers are only too happy to off themselves if they can take some infidels with them. You don't suppose somebody in a turban misinterpreted the teachings of the "prophet" in order to cause these things do you? Naw.....must be a misunderstanding.... or maybe they just hate walking in camel dung all the time and it makes 'em crazy..... It's really just a convoluted plot to steal our beemers gone horribly wrong.....
afraid of the girl, why won't you debate her, wimp, scared of conflict, aren't cha', if your scared of the girl, whats cha' gonna' do with the socialist, totalitarian thugs of the world, like Ahmindinutter, Chavez, Castro, Putin, and the Chicoms, oh yeah, their all your cup a tea, your kinda' people, right Hussein, totalitarian thugs, because they represent exactly what you and the rest of the miscreant caucus want to achieve here in this country, that is to rule by decree, thats ever liberals wet dream, and you'd do it in a New York second if you could, but obama your really are scared of the girl, aren't cha', sure you are, so get Micky, to fight your battles then, you just keep on appeasin'.... |
life, you've been "challenged, by "the blojob", believe me "neo" just laugh her off, she's not to be taken seriously, you seem to be new here, you'll soon see what i mean, she's full of "theories, metaphors, fantasies, and flights of fancy", you know, shes the "typical white" liberal, nice to have you here. |
Works for me except the souless thingy. Not for moi to say.
Now, you & O'Bammy go on down there, General Custer! 'Cept those aren't Persian squaws & chillins down there, George Armstrong. Those are Nuke Developing Death Cultists and when they get through with y'all, Boyo, there won't be nuthin' left but a greasy spot.
'Cept, our brave Warriors are, as usual, going to SAVE YOUR A55!
You're welcome, Midget. |
Stop it. Everytime someone expresses concerns over Obama's ability to lead in the FUTURE, you libs can only point to your perception of Bush's inabilities relating to the PAST. That's PatLib's constant drumb beat: The Pubs screwed it up in the past; it's only fair to give us a turn.
At least Mitt talked in terms (ie the return of the caliphate) that gave some confidence he had done some homework. Same with Mack. Obama is the kid who shows up to class unprepared and he's doing his best to fake it.
I had a university student like that once. Clueless and lying about it. I failed him (as he deserved), his grade-point was shot to heck, he lost his student deferment and ended up in VN.
Unfortunately for us, Obama, the unprepared non-student, could end up as the leader of the world. Yikes! |
whats the problem, why don't you just shut that appeasing liberal foul mouth of yours and let us have our "win nine state" strategy, why would you care, fool, and another thing, blojob, why would we listen to anything you have to say, anyway, for the last 16 years, you have been fomenting that foul mouth of yours, and telling us of the supreme virtue of the Clinton's, what cha' gotta' say about em' now baby, now that their stickin' it up your fat b*tt, your nothing more than comic relief around here, and excuse us "cons" as we laugh at you daily, inexorably moving onward to Denver and RECREATE 68, liberals misbehavin' in the streets, and ingesting large amounts of teargas, for all the world to see, i can't wait.......tear the house down... |
That today's enemies... ...have no conscious ...cannot be reasoned with ...are the devil incarnate ...will stop at nothing ...cannot be deterred ...will willingly become martyrs ...have no soul ...don't like freedom ...etc, etc,
So WE HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO GO TO WAR!!!
Gee, I wonder if these justifications for war have ever been used before?
NeoConScum has eaten this crap up, so it must be good information, eh? |
UNLESS, of course, the goodness and righteousness of well intentioned huggable Lib-Lefties disproves the Nasty, Brutish & Short Nature of Man. IF, like those Cool Communist Butchers of 100-million last century, you figure Man can be perfected, then--Oh, yeah, Baybee--No Problemo.
But, if 100-million souls lost to the perfectability of the State, I--for one--am unwilling to let a pantywaist Lib-Doofus get Manhattan and Tel Aviv vaporized. Bu-Bye, Mullahs. |
Chris Matthews?
You mean the DNC shill who masquerades as a journalist?
To quote Leonard Pinth Garnell, 'he dances very badly, very badly indeed'.
'Deterrence' and 'appeasement' definitions can be debated, but like Potter Stewart and pornography, I know it when I see it.
As Neville Chamberlain appeased Hitler, so will Barack Obama appease the Islamofascists and any other thug around the world.
He'll just be picking up where Jimmy Carter left off. |
I've ne'er seen the neoconphile fellow here before, but he was basically correct, as were some others who jumped in whilst I was out doing *VIGFM. The depth of the inability or refusal of the Lib-Left to grasp even Basic Human Nature-101 is beyond me. The Persian Death Cult is UNDER the threat of destruction and still stepping right up with the Nuke Development. They can't be "deterred" in the sense that the Soviets(and now, the Chinese)were. Going to join the 2nd Imam & all those yummy virgins is punishment for bad behavior??? Then, they say, "Bring on the punishment!" Just give them time to destroy Israel and let some al Qaeda Cell march a Nuke into Midtown Manhattan or Washington DC.
SUBSEQUENT oblivion doesn't deter these Islamist Fanatics. They welcome it.
Running, Retreating and Wimping-Out from Iraq's 25-million souls doesn't equate with the silly drival of, "our fleet will git'cha!" Goofy!!
*Vast Inexpressable GOOD For Mankind* |
...as usual. Has he ever read anything about anything? Foreign policy, history, Islam, military, finance, economics?
It seems not. He's spent his short life doing drugs, playing basketball, editing the Harvard Law Review, community organizing, sitting in Wright's sermons and running for office.
Let the record show during the entire Cold War the USSR never attacked American soil. The World Trade Center towers came down before breakfast. I guess because some POTUS forgot to meet with Osama and ask him not to.
If the POTUS had met with Osbama and asked him what the Islamic World wants to in return for behaving properly, Osama could have said: Subject the entire planet to shariah law. The POTUS could have said: OK.
The world's problem could be solved over tea and crumpets. Too bad no one thought of this until Obama came along. |
[Brainless libs like Obambi and his sycophantic core of disciples, like Brob, now expect America to elect a leader who clearly does not understand and cannot compare and contrast the existential threats of the past as compared to those of the present, let alone the future.]
This is truly ironic coming from a member of the camp where it's always 1938 and the enemy is always Hitler.
[Strength through retreat!
It's brilliant. It will surely consolidate our authority around the globe.]
No, you should definitely keep them all tied down in the middle of a country that doesn't want them there, where the majority of the population are religious cohorts with Iran, and they face the potential of being surrounded and cut off in the even that those cohorts decided to take offense to an attack on Iran.
What was I thinking? |
that Iran is such a small threat, which merely threatens to obliterate Israel (and itself too, in an inevitable IDF nuclear retaliatory strike), and take out "only" a couple of American cities, rather than the hull durn country like them Soviets used to brag about, then pray tell us:
What constitutes a "big threat" in your mind?
Or even a "medium threat"?
Is your ability to separate the teeny tiny threats (like Iran) from the really big, bad, wooley threats like China ... is that what Dems talk about when they brag about having "nuance?"
If that's true, then I am really feeling a whole lot better about having a leader like you in power. You're really able to make those tough decisions, like, uhmmm:
"OK, A-Jad, go ahead and smoke my New York and Tel Aviv, but I'll see you on that by smokin' Tehran, and I'll even raise you one by doing ... uhhmmm, can someone here in my Cabinet tell me, are there any other cities in Iran worth smokin'? Yeah .... alright ... OK, then, A-Jad ... if you do that, then I'm also going to flatten Esfahan! How d'ya like them marbles!"
Such nuance, o how it makes my heart flutter!
'a case can certainly be made that shifting brigades from Iraq would make us stronger'
Strength through retreat!
It's brilliant. It will surely consolidate our authority around the globe. |
Senator McCain's response to Obambi (cont.):
"And, Senator, when the leader of Iran says that he's going to obliterate Israel, and defeat and humiliate America, and he's openly developing the nuclear weapons to do just that, and when he says that Iran can afford to be smoked in retaliation, because the Iranian people are expendable in the greater glory of Allah, then we can be pretty certain that we're not going to dissuade or deter him with diplomacy."
"So Senator Sh*t-for-brains, you really need to get out more."
sycophantic core of disciples, like Brob, now expect America to elect a leader who clearly does not understand and cannot compare and contrast the existential threats of the past as compared to those of the present, let alone the future.
Obambi:
"Iran is such a small threat, because it is a small country and has a lousy army, while the Soviet Union, now, lemme tellya, back when I was ten years old, I just knew those guys were big-time!"
John McCain (stifling his natural urge to scream out, "you doofus!") replies:
"No, Senator Obama, it doesn't work that way. You see, for forty some years we operated on a par with the Soviets using what was called "mutually assured destruction", or "MAD", based upon our mutual massive nuclear arsenals. We sorta felt like the Soviets actually wanted to not repeat the destruction of World War II, and horrors undoubtedly much worse than that, that would come from open nuclear warfare with the Americans. The Soviets were rational then, even if wrong-headed political leaders.
"On the other hand, you sh*t-for-brains, we learned just a few years ago, I think it was around September 11, 2001, I believe, that a few irrational Jihadists operating out of a failed country that had zero oil revenue (unlike Iran) and a government that looked the other way, can spend just a coupla hundred grand and cause fifty some billion in economic damages and kill thousands of our citizens using just 19 guys and some box-cutters. Now, aside from you and your zombies, the other 99% of the world has figured out there's a new kind of war threat afoot ... not MAD, but something called 'asymmetric warfare.'"
The army in Iraq is not our primary source of strength in the region. The carrier groups and air assets are.
And given that the bulk of our forces in Iraq is busy keeping the Iraqis from shooting each other and would have a more challenging time aiding any strike on Iran, a case can certainly be made that shifting brigades from Iraq would make us stronger. |
Special Envoy to the Islamic Republic of Iran His Excellency the Rev. Jeremiah Wright
Special Head of Protocol, His Excellency, Former President Jimmy "Not-a-clue" Carter
First Delegate in Charge of Security His Excellence Professor Emeritus Bill Ayers.
Second Chief of Security His Excellence, Callipso Louie Farrakanh.
Head of Economic Cooperation His Presidential Pardoned Anthony Rezko
Personal Emissary and Good Will Ambassador at Large; Her Excellency Michelle "Im-ang-ry" Obama.
The good news is that they may keep them all as hostages. |
Too slow.
Well, what casadchata said..... |
Yes, absolutely, because they are both insane regimes.
Containment worked with the Soviets. Mutually assured destruction worked as a strategy. We were dealing with evil people, but rational people.
It's not going to work with these nuts, particularly the Iranonazis consumed with religous fervor to bring on the Apocalypse.
The first nuke is on a missile headed to a neighborhood or airport near you. |
Do you even have to comment on his remarks, is it not so obvious- OMG.
The crazy part about this for the Democrats is that, any of his high profile endorsers when they were still in the race against him, would have eaten him alive for this stuff. Now they're stuck with it. Amazing!
Brob,
The Soviets were rational and responded to MAD. Iran welcomes it and is looking forward to it because it will be the advent of the 2nd Imam. So yes, one can make the argument that Iran is as dangerous, if not more so. |
You're right. This guy ain't a president....he's Ricky Nelson..... |
As the Messiah spouts off more and more diplomatic nonsense, CNN carried live his Nuremberg err Portland rally today with 75,000 scream Broblike clone morons. Apparently the voters in Oregon and other Blue areas do not think foreign policy is important unless America is to blame, our military are Nazis and we just keep out of any war no matter the consequence. At last the chickens will come home to roost with the USA disarmed and peaceful and looking like the Belize! God, liberals are so dense and downright stupid when it comes to the lessons of history. |
IF Iran is allowed to continue developing Nukes until completion, then they can arm Jihadists with them and destroy Israel with them. We need to assure that they do neither. Israel won't allow it, but it needs to be us--not the Jews--who knock out the Iranian Nuke Program.
How hard can this be for you Lib-Leftoids to grasp??
Never mind. :-) |
might wish to ponder ALL that muscular leverage Obama will enjoy as he Retreats, as promised repeatedly, from Iraq at one combat brigade per month. This will immediately begin after taking the oath. Persian Mullahs will no doubt be quaking in their robes. |
campaign!
We got Obambi .... just let him keep talking himself out of another "for sure" Dem victory in November.
BTW, isn't great how he keeps taking people he hangs with off the table as civilized campaign topics ... first it was Rev. Wright, then it was Tony Rezko, then Bill Ayers, and now his wife Michelle.
We can see where this is all going: in another coupla weeks, any discussion of the candidate himself will no longer be fit for conversation on the campaign trail.
I think this Obambi campaign strategery is just another variation of the old "Heads I win, tails you lose!" rule. Even the average dumb voter can figure out that kind of scam.
With Obambi at the top of the Dem ticket, it's like shooting fish in a barrel.
Regardless of what one thinks about John McCain's politics and policies, we've all got to admit now that he is a very LUCKY candidate, with the way his Republican opponents all self-destructed, and then Hillary self-destructed, and now, Obambi is just being Obambi.
As with much else in life, it's often more helpful to be lucky than it is to be good.

-Initiate immediate sprint out of Iraq
-Cut all defense spending for the development of American Nuclear Missile shield.
-Freeze development of all new weapons systems
-Cut military spending to pay for Global Poverty Tax and other Berkley inspired programs.
- Invade . . . Pakistan!?
-Protect American troops against. . . the bird flu!?
Iranians must be really dreading the prospect of him becoming Commander in Chief.
Obama to Iran:
"Stopped dudes! Pretty please!? I need the money to buy votes from poor people here at home."

[Here's Ronaldus Magnus's "NO Pre-Conditions" for Gorby: Pershing Nukes in Germany pointed at Soviet Strategery..]
When you're strong and others know you're strong, you can afford to talk to your enemies and get concessions from them.
Given the amount of military hardware available to us in the Gulf region, the state of the Iranian economy, the dissatisfaction amongst the youth with the regime, I don't particularly see why this is such a radical idea. |

Can you imagine any Jihadist being impressed by the faux muscle of this twit! No mystery to me why Hamas has endorsed him. You??
Here's Ronaldus Magnus's "NO Pre-Conditions" for Gorby: Pershing Nukes in Germany pointed at Soviet Strategery...WITH, for those too young or clueless to remember, the DemoRants pounding their high chairs and shrilling to the Heavens in protest & objection! But, Gorbachev GOT IT. :-)

Yeah, that Ronald Reagan guy was definitely a wimpy Chamberlainian appeaser with his talking and his treaties and his policy of containment.
Thanks to him, we're all speaking Russian now. What a loser.

it wasn't negotiation or diplomacy that brought down the Berlin wall. We did not succeed in negotiating the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics out of existence. To the contrary, our willingness to negotiate with them helped prop them up. In the decades right after the USSR was formed, we supplied them with huge amounts of industrial equipment and technology. Later, we negotiated numerous wheat deals to keep them from starving. See the book, "East minus West = Zero" for a complete recounting of all the ways the USSR milked us through the process of negotiation.
The USSR was eventually brought down by two factors: first, they were bankrupted by their efforts to match Reagan's military buildup; second, it eventually become impossible to prevent Soviet citizens from realizing the truth: that communism had produced only mass starvation, while capitalism was producing enormous wealth.
Negotiation only served to prolong the existence of the Soviet Union. It worked AGAINST the demise of communism.
The track record of negotiation and diplomacy as tools for dealing with threats to America is just as abysmal as is the track record of socialism. Yet no amount of failure of either will ever deter liberals from advocating more of both. |
