MSNBC's Answer To Tea Parties: Unending Sexual References
Posted by: Greg Hengler at 11:02 AM
Yes folks, "Teabagging" jokes are all they got. The HuffingtonPost described the Tea Parties as being "ruthlessly mocked"  by MSNBC's Maddow and Cox in this video. The H-Post also do their readers a favor by directing them to the Urban Dictionary definition of "teabagging."

Sure vlad
Look at the millions of hands vlad! It's quite a sight. Too bad your blind or you could appreciate it. I was going to put money in the letter, but I sealed it before I remembered. David Horowitz taught me twenty years ago when Horowitz became the communist movements biggest nightmare. One who learned from birth, from parent in the communist party in the thirties and started the precursor to the NEA and the teachers unions and their textbooks have been a perfect example of the Alinsky training manual. How many people heard of Mike Klonsky before he was recently outed as a silent partner of the Obama/Ayers/Dohrne movement that traverses from the SDS to the Weathermen to the Small Schools network to the Chicago Annenberg indoctrination clinic. There is no way this anti American gets elected if the press hadn't surrounded him with pillows like a SNL skit.

All you conservatives, raise your hand if you ever heard of Saul Alinsky before 2008. You know, when the talking points landed in your in box.
Phoenix Lady writes: Monday, April, 13, 2009 11:26 PM
Saul Alinsky Rule...
...ridicule the opposition. They can't fight back.

Unless, of course, they ridicule the Alinsky disciples right back--which is what we are doing.

As for those who, like Ouch, snicker at the thought of "tea-bagging," better watch out, because our faces have teeth. You really want to risk getting bitten?

Reality bites, and we normies and recovering non-normies who choose to accept Reality and our places in it have decided enough is enough. If I were you flaming non-normies, I would not put my family jewels or other sensitive body parts anywhere near us, even figuratively.

You are children in adult bodies, stuck on stupid because you never learned how to grow up. Naturally, you have to project your childishness on us, because you'd rather die than admit you've spent a lifetime being stupid.

Like John, above, says, you just don't get it.
John writes: Monday, April, 13, 2009 9:30 PM
Tea party anyone
The number according to Cavuto is over 2000 now so go ahead and laugh libs. I can't remember one of the thousands of faked protests led by the unions that was in more than one spot. Coservatives don't have a bus line like unions and we aren't organized at all. Wait until the Sate and local organizers get together and plan a national rally. There are three protests in Maine as of last week - Augusta, Bangor and Portland. None of us are funded by anyone. We haven't had as much as a bake sale yet. But the funniest part is liberals think it's an anti Obama rally. They just don't get it.

"..from laughing... dang, she is like watching my 7 year-old tell a joke, roll around on the floor laughing, while the adults make nice.

For the liberals, yeah, we get the joke, we just don't think it's funny... just retarded, and gross. It's not news you thrive on sexual deviancy."

My goodness. I hope you don't teach your child that broken English. Please don't homeschool your children, please don't homeschool your children.....

I think the terrible verbal skills of Townhaller's is second only to the crazy logic I find over here. I love it, see ya at the tea party! My balls, your face!

Rachel
"There is no regular guy aspect to this greedfest - only moronic parrots willing to do the bidding of the privileged few."

I'm not wealthy. I drink beer and I like cheeseburgers. I live in a modest neighborhood. I'm also a liberal, which means I'm anti-statist.

I've helped spearhead a Tea Party here in N Colorado because I know that debt and deficit spending are BAD things. Obama promised to change the way the GOP did things, and charged the GOP with reckless spending. Well, the opposite of reckless spending is...?

I have two signs, Rachel. One says, "Where's the scalpel?", and the other says "2+2=4".

This link explains the latter sign for those who've not read "1984",

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2_%2B_2_%3D_5

BTW, class-warfare rhetoric has no place in a society where those with less can have more by simply working harder and/or smarter. Government obstacles like taxes and regulations make living harder for those of us who simply want to be left alone.

That's why I'll be at a Tea Party: to ask to be left alone. I don't want to own a car company, I don't want to own an insurance agency, I don't want to own a bunch of mortgages of people who shouldn't have gotten them,....

I don't want the POTUS to determine the value of the dollar, I don't want the government determining what kind of car I drive, I don't want the government telling me how much to pay for electricity or where it comes from, I don't want the government telling me who my healthcare provider will be,.....

You may be too irresponsible to govern your own life, but that doesn't mean that I am. Get the F*** off my back, and mind your own damned business. I don't need your kind of "help".

John writes: Monday, April, 13, 2009 3:37 PM
Show me the money
All you loons on the left will have to prove the GOP is funding these tea parties. Nobody is going to just take you guys seriously ever again after the fools you have made of yourselves the past couple months. These rallies are conservative rallies, that is fiscally conservative rallies that will have many liberals who don't want to leave their Grandkids a 124,5000 dollar debt in 2017 (CBO projection numbers - the same ones 'Bama underestimated by a mere 3.2 trillion dollars.) The GOP has as much to lose as anyone and they know it. This is the reason there can be no doubt that the usual suspects on this site are seminar cloggers, because everyone of us has stated we are not Republicans and we did not support the 2000-2006 Republican Congress or Bush's domestic policies. All of you can't have the same learning disability.

This would be in direct contrast to the lunatics who were bussed in by Georgie boy Soreass at the rallies we held to support the troops way back in 2007.

Way to got MSNBC! Take something millions of people feel strongly about (whether it was started as a grassroots effort or by the bogeymen at Fox) and ridicule it. That way they'll be sure to watch, and we can finally start charging enough for advertising to get out pathetic network out into the black. Oh, wait...

(Of course maybe they're laughing because they don't know how else to react when the silent majority finally begins to find its voice.)

In case you've been in a bubble for the last eight years, the GOP HAS been held accountable by its own voters. The GOP governed like Democrats since Hastert took the gavel and they lost seats ever since.

When the GOP came begging for money, I sent them "Bush Pesos". Maybe you forgot about all of us irrelevant conservatives shutting down the Capital switchboard a couple years ago.

PS: Bush isn't a conservative. Obama is Bush on steroids.

going to a Tea Party. I just got back from an initial meeting for a basement finish in which I'll be plumbing a bath and bar.

I never talk politics with customers, but they recognized me from a photo in our local rag. I told thim that there'd likely be some harsh things said about Democrats.

They said that whatever is said about Democrats will be no less than what they've said over the last three months. They feel betrayed by Obama and our Dem Rep (Betsy Markey, who ran as a "businesswoman").

Watch the Congressional Democrats revolt against Obama and Pelosi soon after the Tea Parties. Keep an eye on Betsy Markey (D-CO). As Hugh writes in another post about Tom Lucero, Colorado's CD4 WILL be up for grabs. GOT THAT, STATISTS?

And, Speaking of rich white Americans, how about the free publicity from Fox News and the contributions of Murdoch to this national joke?

Reading through this, it seems pretty clear most cons don't really understand the issues they are demonstrating over - any money going to lobbyists is only a small fraction of the bucks paid to them during the Bush years. How come you weren't ready to Teabag him?

"But to try and act like this is completely non-partisan and grassroots is a fallacy."

Glenn Beck is telling his listeners that he is speaking at a $500-a-plate fundraising dinner for the Tea Parties.

Don't need to think very hard about what would have happened if Rachel Maddow had spoken at a fundraising dinner against the Iraq war during Bush's administration.

"I would also guess that Rachel 'plays' for the other team (and I don't mean the dems). If so, how would she know about teabagging?"

1. If you paid attention to anything other than right-wing internet sites, you'd know that Rachel Maddow is gay and out. It's not news.

2. If you didn't live under a rock, you would know that gay people are very much aware of both gay and straight sex practices.

3. Tell the truth: you didn't know what "tea bagging" was until the liberals started mocking the Tea Parties.

christian...
There is an article from Playboy online that explains how the tea party movement was spawned by Santelli's rant. Apparently the website "ChicaagoTeaParty.com" was registered six months before his rant on TV and went live just moments after. It was planned and orchestrated to look grassroots instead of being organized by right-wing groups.

I'm not saying there isn't a grassroots element to this b/c I've witnessed it first hand in that a lot of "regular" people are participating and organizing their own parties without the help of right-wing groups.

But to try and act like this is completely non-partisan and grassroots is a fallacy. There is a great deal of support and money being funneled into these protests by right-wing groups and Fox news and other conservative media are helping promote the protests to increase attendance.

Again, I'm not dismissing these as totally funded and organized by the GOP or conservative groups but they are helping quite a bit. I also 100% support anyone's right to protest no matter what the cause, but a word of advice to those attending a protest for the first time be respectful and in control of you emotions and discourage any violent or extremist rhetoric or actions unless you want to be painted with that message in broad-strokes by those in the opposition.

I would think Rachel makes more than $92k a year? I guess she is okay with being in the 10% of us that pay 70% of the federal income tax while we are coming close to 50% getting a free ride. Maybe we need to invoke a reverse amendment of "no representation without taxation."

And if I can digress to the low end of the conversation....I would also guess that Rachel 'plays' for the other team (and I don't mean the dems). If so, how would she know about teabagging?

First off, anybody who announces they are "Mensa" is immediately suspect to this old guy.

"Thank you for illustrating the concept of moral relativism. While the imbroglio over the stained dress and cigar referred to the Clinton administration's suborning of perjury in a case that clearly involved sex, your side decides to provide innuendos and double entendres to an issue that no rational person would consider having anything to do with sex (with an obscure reference no less)."

There's no "moral relativism" involved here in any way. I'm not going to go through all the arguments about Clinton's supposed "perjury," as I doubt anybody's thinking is going to change at this stage of the game.

My point was that any and all discussions with right-wingers will eventually bring up either the cigar or the stained dress, or both.

"Hey, how about that Carolina basketball team?"

"Oh yeah, well what about that little blue dress?"

If you've never heard of "tea bagging" before, well, we're happy to educate you. I'm quite sure that if anti-Iraq war protestors had organized "tea parties" against President Bush, you would have learned about the term earlier.

GOP Mass Psychosis
It's a cheap joke, yes. But then, so is this tea-party itself. And while you desperately try to spin this as some BS grassroots movement, it's come from Murdoch and FOX and the other groups drumming up faux-populace support for milionaires who don't want to pay taxes for the troops or the infrastructure. Or anything.

Your mad tea party will be the final cultural nail in the GOP coffin.

It's not surprising, since this administration and its allies are more interested in a live re-enactment of "Lord of the Flies." We won't have any adult supervision until at least 2010.
