The Speech Sarah Palin Would Have Given
Posted by: Hugh Hewitt at 9:00 AM

Sarah Palin was scheduled to appear at a gathering in protest of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's visit to the U.N.  The organizers of the rally canceled her appearance after Hillary Clinton refused to attend the event with Palin.  The New York Sun has published the text of the remarks Palin was to have delivered.  Key graphs:

The world must awake to the threat this man poses to all of us. Ahmadinejad denies that the Holocaust ever took place. He dreams of being an agent in a "Final Solution" — the elimination of the Jewish people. He has called Israel a "stinking corpse" that is "on its way to annihilation." Such talk cannot be dismissed as the ravings of a madman — not when Iran just this summer tested long-range Shahab-3 missiles capable of striking Tel Aviv, not when the Iranian nuclear program is nearing completion, and not when Iran sponsors terrorists that threaten and kill innocent people around the world.

The Iranian government wants nuclear weapons. The International Atomic Energy Agency reports that Iran is running at least 3,800 centrifuges and that its uranium enrichment capacity is rapidly improving. According to news reports, U.S. intelligence agencies believe the Iranians may have enough nuclear material to produce a bomb within a year.

The world has condemned these activities. The United Nations Security Council has demanded that Iran suspend its illegal nuclear enrichment activities. It has levied three rounds of sanctions. How has Ahmadinejad responded? With the declaration that the "Iranian nation would not retreat one iota" from its nuclear program.

So, what should we do about this growing threat? First, we must succeed in Iraq. If we fail there, it will jeopardize the democracy the Iraqis have worked so hard to build, and empower the extremists in neighboring Iran. Iran has armed and trained terrorists who have killed our soldiers in Iraq, and it is Iran that would benefit from an American defeat in Iraq.

Read the whole thing.

The Art of Speech Writing & Giving
Good solid speech on paper but with Gov Palin's excellent communications skills (including very effective body language), I'm quite sure that it would have proven much more powerful had she delivered it live at the event.

And for those who persist in being clueleess on the subject -- directly above and elsewhwere -- virtually all politicians employ speechwriters for at least the initial draft. So what? The good ones also make the speech their own - and that includes tweaking and effectively delivering it (duh!).

Gov Palin has a real gift for speechmaking and just perhaps that's what really spooked Hillary and her cohorts into cancelling her appearance.

Briggsy,
And, what has Obama, on foreign policy garnered? It was necessary for Gov. Palin to meet the leaders of the world, but that is not required of Obama, why?
All, Obama did this summer is fly over some countries in Europe, and give a speech in Germany, does that make him now an expert in foreign affairs, and policies.
If, people's/media's expectionations from Obama is so low, don't you think he should take it as an insult, or least racism?

What does a nuclear Pakistan have to do with anything? You may recall when Pakistan carried out it's nuclear tests...1998, 2 years after the nuclear test ban.

So, any thoughts on why you let Pakistan become a nuclear nation and carry out testing 2 years after the test ban President Clinton? Why did you leave this problem for someone else to deal with? Oh yeah, bit busy around that time with Monica weren't you? Jeeze. Clueless.

The 'Stand-Up & Be Honorable' Senator
Clinton is a true Hoot. Just another cheapa** Demopunk. No moral muscle. Just a sleazy opportunist 'Ho. She's married to her Moral Clarity tutor and has learned splendidly. Just an Appetite. Only that.

Lady Sarah, the Grizzly Shootin' Mom of Five, would have garnered much attention for Israel & against the Islamist Sewage from Teheran. Musn't let that happen.

The Real Issue, American People get it!
Come November, Worldwide problems will be trusted to McCain/Palin team.
Russia's dealing under the radar with the countries that are considered to be our foe. Russia is hiking its defense spending form last year $ 40 billion to $50 Billion. A Russian nuclear submarine in the White Sea successfully test-fired a new intercontinental ballistic missile, hitting target on the Pacific Coast 4,200 miles away. Last Friday, their two strategic bombers returned after a training exercise in Venezuela.
Again, media in the U.S. keep ignoring the news that may not favor Obama, they should have highlighted the seriousness of two big terrorists attacks; one in Senaa, Yemen, U.S. Embassy bombed, killing at leats 10. Recalling it was in Yemen, in 2000, al-Qaeda attacked the USS Cole killing 17 American.
Then second, is the Pakistan mess. I call it a mess of an attack and tragedy, maybe if Musharaf was in charge, this attack on Marriott could have been stopped. Because their new leader, Asif Ali Zardari, Mr. ten percent, is a corrupt ex-con. Let us hope the generals will take over and run the country, if not the whole region of Pakistan, Afghanistan and India will be in flames.
Then, You have nuclear Iran, with Russia's blessings, constantly threatening Israel!
That is why you will want someone like McCain/Palin in the White House, and come November, American will make the right decision.

Nice Job Joe!
You were way out in front of this. The left even after their missteps in the past, cannot seem to learn that dirty tricks and bravo sierra is no substitute for ideas and vision.
Great Job!

Obama coverup of Palin smears begins...
Shortly after Rusty’s post appeared, the video and related YouTube videos started coming down. Winner’s YouTube profile, that of his father, and several others were closed. This began happening within an hour of the posting of Rusty’s post. Michelle Malkin has the entertaining details, complete with screenshots.

In the criminal law business, we call evidence like that “consciousness of guilt.”

There needs to be follow-up to this story. The connection to the Winners and their PR firm is solid. The evidence tying in Axelrod and Obama is circumstantial but suggestive. The lightning-quick cover-up goes a long way towards convincing me. Now the baton needs to be passed to a media organization that can demand answers from the parties involved, who are unlikely to respond to a bunch of bloggers.

Bueller? Bueller?

Respect the truth
King Liberal writes: "Palin can se (sic) russia (sic)so Putin will SURELY respect her and the man who chose her."

Those are words are Tina Fey's word, not Gov. Palin. Not that it truth matters much to you.

Sarah gets it
She just laid the truth out there for everyone to see without being too political in our campaign season. The protesters messed up by not letting her speak.

Kevin
I think you are absolutely right about your prediction of how the leftists will assess this article. However, I think jackass is more appropriate. Defined below:
1. a male donkey.
2. a contemptibly foolish or stupid person; dolt; blockhead; a$$.

It’s a good thing Obama writes all his stuff…uh

I would like to see Sarah release snippets of the salient points of this article in her stump speeches on the campaign trail.

Let Me Predict the Libs
They will say after reading this and would have said after hearing it, "Oh she has not clue about that stuff. Someone wrote this for her and she was just reading." Hello! Can anyone see the elephant in the room (or should I say donkey?).

Sweet Hillary
I do not know why every one votes for Senator Clinton, she is probably one of the crooked Senators in the Senate, between her involvement starting in Arkansas to present day time. The only thing that made her famous was the beanie that slick willie got, the women felt sorry and The Hill played every angle to receive the emotion tears and more tears her voting public went wild that every one is against the Queen, what about the paid off voters, the commodity scandal, I 'll even mention Whitewater, she is one Senator that promises but doesn't deliver, when thing started to get close she brought out the sniper lie, and blamed it on her being tired lol this woman and her hubby have made over 100 million in the last 10 years and both of them complain about Bush's adminstration. If you think that willie is slick then the Hill is slicker.
