From the WaPost ...
Rudy Giuliani "has seen a dramatic erosion in his support, which now stands at its lowest point of the year, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll."
And ... "for all the anticipation about his candidacy, (Fred) Thompson is roughly even with Sen. John McCain ..."
Over the past two months, Giuliani has suffered sharp declines in support among women and self-identified Republicans. In July, he was the first choice of 40 percent of Republicans and 41 percent of women. The new poll showed that 28 percent of Republicans and 27 percent of women back his candidacy.
Giuliani now stands at his lowest point yet among mainline Republicans, men, conservatives and white evangelical Protestants. Until now, the former mayor had led his rivals for the nomination among these evangelicals; now 29 percent support Thompson, while 25 percent support Giuliani.

Conservatives can nominate a conservative. All it takes is not acting like sheep and getting herded into nominating a northeast liberal. 49% will never vote for Hillary, only 60% voted last time. Turnout was the difference. Give Americans a chance to vote for someone who WILL secure the border and watch turnout soar. Americans want their government to fulfill its most basic responsibility.
The primary responsibility of the U.S. government is to protect the territorial integrity and people of this country. They have completely abdicated this responsibility. Both parties have been complicit in this. We are being told it is not possible to control our borders, enforce our laws, and thereby control our destiny as a nation. Hogwash. We are being sold out by corporations intent on importing workers for jobs that can't be exported with the taxpayers paying the true costs, financial and human. If we act like sheep and don't stop the inundation across our borders, we will lose our country without a bleat.

anniversary of 911, he is toast!.....It was his campaign security blanket, and the voter has seen through it. |
|
what Matt really means is,
Rudy down, Thompson also down to McCain level. |
|

Head over to RealClearPolitics, look at the aggregate national polling trends, and you'll see that the wind is blowing in his direction. McCain (and Thompson) got post debate bumps. Interestingly, Rudy is down only a bit, while Romney is down sharply in the past week. I think it reflects upon McCain's good showing, Rudy's so-so one, and Romney's tough questions / poor performance. (Why the hell was he smiling when that guy told him how offensive his remark about his sons was?) |

I love Duncan Hunter and his entire family. Unfortunately for him, he just won't garner enough votes. I do see him as a great future Secretary of Defense. Even in defeat, I believe he will play a huge role in our security.
Hopefully you can do two things for me.
1- I think he has a great sense of humor. I laughed the first few times he talked about the old border fence always shown on CNN. It's a good joke. But, it lost it's humor after the thirtieth time he said it. Please let his campaign know that it's time for a new joke.
2- I love your enthusiasm for Congressman Hunter. It should be applauded. But just like the CNN/border fence joke, your Hunter For America diatribe has gotten old. Please come up with something new. We understand about the %'s, the hogwash and the sheep. It's so old, you used it twice in a row in this post.
Don't take it personal. I still love ya. Just get some new lines if you want to lead people on to Hunter. |

The double post was a problem with the website, unintentional, sorry. Hunter won the Texas straw poll pretty impressively, so it's way too early to count him out. As more people focus on what is at stake in this next election (Whether we get to keep our country) the other candidates positions of non-enforcement will be become clearer as will the consequences of electing another President who will not secure the border or enforce the laws. I don't have an inside line to the campaign so I can't pass your suggestion along. I'll try to write something new soon. I'm just a working stiff, visiting TH when I can between jobs, so cutting and pasting is usually the only way for me to make my voice heard. Skip it if you've read it before. Some have not seen it and it may wake them up before it's too late, the future of our country is at stake. |

Ditto what SGRivette says above. |

Which? The last one or the previous one asking me to write something new? |
