The coward was probably hiding in a NYC Starbucks pounding down the latte with soy and whining about all the "white racist rednecks" like Michelle Malkin and Ms. Pierson (Filipina and black respectively) who INVITED her!!!
-Ray NRA Life Member Soli Deo Gloria!!! |
That's what I said when Ms. Pierson appeared on the news yesterday speaking about the Dallas Tea Party.
I didn't expect Janeane to show. Who on earth would show up to an event that would ultimately prove them WRONG? |
I attended this one and it was great. Lots of familes, Parents with their children and grandchildren. Great speakers. I believe there had to be a few thousand that attended and I bet there will be alot more going to Washington in September. Met a nice man around 60 who had voted for Obama but in the last two weeks he was diagnosed with a chronic illness. He is terrified of the Obama healthcare plan. He realizes he made a big mistake. Janeane ought to go to one of these parties and listen to the people. They surely know what the Tea Party was about and they are certainly not racist. They are bright people worried about their future who are standing up to make a difference. |
Wanted to rally at TPs, with the patriotic Americans but too much going on. Last time we were there and enjoyed the large crowd in support of saving America as we have long known and loved it! The way it's now going, when the 'amateur in Chief' Prez., gets through, we won't recognize our proud Country! |
This Tea Party was organized by two groups working together- a LI chapter of the 9/12 project and the Conservative Society for Action group. An RSVP count on meetup had ~75 people but there were easily over 300 and probably closer to 500.
I overheard a few people say things as they stood in lines to sign up for mailing lists, give contributions etc, and mostly they contrasted these gatherings against the left's. There was no hate here, no profanity, no need for police (although there probably were one or two cops around). There were young children and old folks. All races represented. One guy from Iraq got up to speak briefly about the opportunities and freedom this country had afforded him.
An organized response to our elected representatives' is planned; despite enough calls/emails/faxes to shut down ALL their lines and websites just before the Cap N Tax bill was passed, our reps voted "YES" on it anyway. We will let them know how displeased we are in about 2 weeks.
Newt Gingrich mentioned our show of displeasure with Tim Bishop last Monday, so our next demonstration may receive national coverage as well.
If you are unhappy with the debt we are being handed by these Democrats, I urge you to get out and join with a group near you. Help however you can. We must wrest this country back from the socialists who burden posterity with their irresponsibility. It is time to act. |
Simply laughable. They had no time for "Tea Party" protests. Why? They were too busy travelling west to get ready in covering the remains of "Michelle" Jackson. |
dominates, priorities amiss! I enjoyed Michael Jacksons talent but enough already! I said that the second day after so much coverage. We couldn't turn on a station without the relentless, non stop news coverage. I took a break from Cable TV shows only to find after a week he is still making the big time! Will someone please tell me what has he ever done, besides greatly entertaining us, to deserve such homage?! |
hardworking and patriotic Americans don't care about the teabagging agitators. even Reep politicians are giving them a wide berth. who wants to hang with a bunch of malcontents? this "movement" is on its way to zero. |
Keep shoveling, faster faster faster your not gaining ground. "hardworking and patriotic Americans don't care about the teabagging agitators." Oh I guess all of us hardworking Americans are not working as hard as you hardworking Americans, what are we on welfare or food stamps,if you were not at a party don't try to be an expert on what goes on there, we will have to start calling Ms. Garafalo. |
just messing around, friend. i like flipping the rhetoric. but i know full well that you are a hardworking and patriotic American. |
Sometimes you out do your self when it comes to writing stupid posts. Obviously you did not attend a tea party so you have no idea what kind of people are there. Typical lib just make up a lie and then try to force feed it to the rest. |
And what's worse, they insist on keeping the much ridiculed and snickerworthy moniker "teabaggers" and calling it "teabagging". They deserve every last denouncement and all those peals of laughter. Wrong you people call us tea baggers, you get your talking points from madow olbermann schuster matthews, they and you call us teabaggers, we say we are showing our government that we are not pleased with how they are running this country into the grond, both parties. |
Thank you for giving us the Jeneane Garafalo slant on tea parties, and that is one pig lipstick couldn't help. |
c'mon. the "teabagger" moniker just wrote itself. |
said Michael Jackson was born a young man, but died an old woman... |
RiffRaff and PL haven't got a clue what the Tea Parties are about. Ours was great. I estimate that there was at least 2000. There was young and old, black, white and hispanics that attended. We had a few great speakers one being Charles Payne of the Fox Business News. He told his story and how he became successful. He certainly showed that America is the place of opportunity. It was a great way to spend the 4th. It felt good to be with people who care about our country and our future. I think much to the libs dismay this movement is growing and will have an affect. Scares them I would say. |
If it wrote itself then why is it the only place it is called teabagging is on the very unbiased msnbc, cnn and other great fair news agencies, and here by the libs. |

Florida. Moms, Dads, Kids, Dogs, laughter, joy and fellowship. You know, All-American stick to the ribs stuff like the snotty elites and the brain dead bloviaters sneer at. The pieces of useless shiites that detest Sarah are sure to detest the high spirited middle class American-hard working folks who turned out for the Tea Parties. Oh, my goodness, some are right here on this thread! Needy...Really Needy. Must...MUST have our attention or they are nothing. Nuthin'! |

and can't wait for the further over-the-top coverage of his whatever...Ya know, kinda like the Messiah's Inaugral? |
Is that so?
Sounds as though you have NO IDEA what you're talking about.
Sounds as though you just listened to garafalo (who is a bit of a twit herself) and bought what she said, hook, line, and sinker without doing any homework of your own.

I couldn't attend all of the festivities, the two mile walk from the library to the county court house,I went listened to the starting speeches but my surgery won't let me walk that far yet. The march ended with more speeches at the court house, then we went to the the local airport across from our National Guard Armory, for BBQ Good music good people and celebration. This was one of the best 4ths in many years. |
the hard working and patriotic Americans ARE THE ONES who were AT THE TEA PARTIES!
Surprise! :-)
no doubt, that's the conceit.. |
come in here to forment some more resentment?! |
Please don't lump me in with Raff and James B, They are not on my side in any way shape or form. |
I was there because I think our government has little by little taken more and more control over our lives. I do not want the government to spend endless amounts of money that we cannot afford, that goes for dems and repubs. I do not want my representatives to pass bills that they have not read. I want these politicians to know that now we, the people, are paying attention and we expect them to do what is right for us, not just what benefits them. I do not want so much of my paycheck to be taken away in taxes so they can spend on pork projects. I want them to tighten their belts like I have during these hard times. We all know that when your boss is watching you work a little harder and that is what I want them to do. I want them to know that we are watching. |
like-minded people get together but what do you expect, really? If you have people who think this way like NeoCon, --- and I quote:
" The pieces of useless shiites that detest Sarah are sure to detest the high spirited middle class American-hard working folks who turned out for the Tea Parties."
then how on earth would you expect to be taken seriously??? These tea events appear to be nothing more then "hate Obama, hate democrats, hate the media" festivals. No one is offering a solution (I mean a step-by-step solution not in general terms) or a better way to get out of crisis that started 8 months before Obama was elected. The media isn't going to cover you, unless you have something other than this -- it's the same thing with birth certificate -- there's no evidence of anything, so why should they jump on it?
Here's another example: Would anyone think for a second that Jeanene Garofolo would travel to one of these things? You want to question her and want her to defend what she said? Why? Does it matter? It's the same with the Letterman thing -- why give it any more attention that it deserves? You empower these people by paying attention to them - not something you want to do. |
Hardly! But hang onto that if you'd like.
You hit it out of the park, I would hope all the libs would understand where we stand unfortunately many here side with Garafalo, so your not going to to be understood by these. |
Yes thats the way it should be, but I'll tell you it feels pretty good wacking off an ear once in awhile too. |
My 4th was one of the best as well. I felt like the first time in a long time I was actually doing something worthwhile. I signed up to help contact people for the trip to DC in September. I surely hope it is a great turn out. Felt good to be doing something besides sitting and complaining on the computer. Talked to lots of people and we all pretty much had the same idea. The government is getting too big, taking over too much of our lives and getting ready to tax us to death for a bunch of pork that will not benefit us much. I learned a few things that I did not know about Cap and Trade. All in all it was a good day. I hope we can now build on this and really show the politicians that we are fed up with all of them. |
"RiffRaff and PL haven't got a clue what the Tea Parties are about. ... There was young and old, black, white and hispanics that attended."
The links in the main article above lead to a number of crowd pictures. Count the blacks and hispanics; I'll wait.
Are you back? Did you go higher than "one?" |
Today was the second time in two weeks that I heard some really PO'd folks.
Took my truck to the dealership this AM to get oil changed, checked, etc. Started talking to a fellow from Puerto Rico and a guy from KY. The PR fellow had served a tour in the Army and Navy. Must have been doing well as a civilian 'cause he was driving a fairly new Corvette. The one from Ky was active duty Navy.
Both were really PO'd at what was happening in WASHDC. The active duty fellow said he was glad he was about to retire 'cause Obama scared him to death as CinC.
A bit later a black fellow joined our little group waiting for our vehicles. The talk was pretty anti-Obama by that time and I thought Oh-Oh!
Not so very fast, Buccaneer. The black guy was active duty Navy too and had nothing good to say about Obama or WASHDC. Guess he must have been part of the four percent of blacks who did not vote for Obama. Maybe most of the four percent was military -- who knows.
The two active duty guys were still going at it when the PR and I got our vehicles and left. They were in total agreement that Obama was likely to get them killed because of a weak spine. Zero confidence in congress too.
If they were representative then morale in the military will be as low as under Clinton -- if that is possible. |

The Central Valley Tea Party of California was a major success! We combined Bakersfield, Fresno, Merced and all points in between, plus we had the support of the Latino Water coalition.(Who we are intune with as the FEDS have shut off the farm water over a darned bait fish.) Speakers galore, black, white, latino, asian, hindi; you name it and they were there. This is a movement that has real tracks in Central California. Don't believe all you hear about the left coast; there are millions of conservative voices that are just now beginning to take this state back. |
to get our Country back, we need to organize Grand Juries.
Here's reformation, reformation, & revolution that Our Founding Fathers supported:
1) Advertise and Promote the Fact that you are forming a Grand Jury in Blogs, Local Newspapers and Community Organizations.
2) Form the Grand Jury and select a Foreman.
3) Select a Private Attorney General to make Presentments to Grand Jury, if local DA refuses to make presentments.
4) Select a convenient Meeting Place.
5) Communicate with all Citizens who have criminal information to present.
6) Schedule presentments by said Citizens.
7) Subpoena documents from Government Offices and Officials.
8) Schedule presentment of said Documents to Grand Jury by Grand Jury Attorney General.
9) Have Grand Jury Attorney General present said Documents to Grand Jury.
10) After investigation and deliberation is completed, vote and issue a True Bill (Indictment) or No True Bill.
11) Announce all Indictments to the Press.
12) Serve the Indictment on the Judiciary for the Issuance of Arrest Warrants.

The Tea Party rally could not go forward here in Columbus, Ohio as the "permit" was not granted because of the holiday....lol..Can you believe it?
But.........
On August 1, 2009....a Tea Party will go forward on the Ohio capital statehouse lawn....It is a STATEWIDE event...and THOUSANDS are expected.....It is organized by the Ohio Liber-TEA Council....... |
Great Job out there!...I always wondered where the conservative voices were in California.....you folks need to start speaking up and becoming engaged in the political process....For too long, CA. has been an "automatic" 55 electoral votes for Demo-thugs.....time to turn the tide back........12,000 is impressive....well done! |
You accuse anyone who may disagree with you of being resentful. I've noted that you have used that same accusation with me.
Where do you get that from? And you are making that derogutory? Just because we oppose the expansion of government control that Obama is expontially increasing at an alarming pace, that makes us resentful?
If that's your definition of resentful, then count me in. Is not dissent part of the American spirit?
Were you Miss Resentment prior to your Messiah taking conrtrol of all of our lives? Or were you lockstep in line with past Republican administrations?
More of the left showing off their stellar vocabulary with "tea baggers."
Funny that the organizer of the Dalls Tea Party was a BLACK WOMAN.
And the main speaker one of Pittsburgh's Tea Parties was ALAN KEYES. And it had a tremendous turn out.
Our GOP Committee leader is MICHAEL STEELE.
All black.
But I'm sure you already knew that...I guess they are just Uncle Toms for wanting fair taxation in this country and for EVERYONE to EARN their living instead of leeching off of others.
I am a hard working, single mother. I am putting MYSELF through college while working a full time job. I do NOT receive government assistance. I refuse to. I can raise my child and provide for him and create the life I want because I have the will to do so and because the Constitution affords me that right.
What is everyone who calls us "tea baggers" excuse????
Give me a good one. One that has NOTHING to do with RACE. Because I didn't see or hear ANY RACISTS at the tea parties, but a lot of complaining about Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, but I suppose that makes us racist somehow too.
I can only speak for the Tea Party I was at and yes there were blacks in the group and one of the speakers was black. Did I go around and count how many, of course not, why would I. |
We;ve always been here and our voice is getting stronger, especially over the water issue. It has finally galvanized a number of opposing voices on the dem side to what the ESA is and the damage it is having on the farm sector of this state. We supply food for 1/3 of the world right here and we are being told we are farming illegally!!!!!! So what do they do? Turn off the Federal pumps. We're just getting started to rock and roll here folks. Keep your eyes and ears open for any referance to wtaer issues in California. We need your attention and we need you help. These idiots are coming to shut you down next where ever a smelt swims..... |
I know, Big Sky, but I'm trying to be 'civil.'
I just see the conservatives being hijacked into irrelevance with all that's going on, and it bothers me. I mean, Palin's speech made me cringe -- H.S. basketball analogies?? It just seems that the conservative movement is imploding - collapsing on itself and there will be 3 parties -- Dems, Repubs and Conservs. More and more Repubs are distancing themselves from people who just seem to be grousing and complaining and attacking Obama. It's not that Obama or any of the Dems really care about this fringe group, because frankly, so much that is said and written is so ridiculous and paranoid that it is easy to dismiss.
And, why is everyone fantasizing that Dems will be afraid of Palin? What exactly is there to fear??? Now that she's given up on the governor's job, she's not an elected official, so her sphere of influence is even less than it was - and even less influential since she quit. She now has the status of a conservative pundit - nothing scary about that. You're fooling yourself if you think that Democrat have anything resembling fear or anxiety about that woman at all - they just laugh at her. And, it's too bad, becauase she could have been a great success story. |

Great reply to James B. I am not sure why these trolls insist as Munck did that we should count the blacks in the pictures. First of all what makes them think that the black community stopped having an opinion when Obama got in the Whitehouse. The black community knows what is good for them and what is bad for them. All races are aware that more taxes and bigger government do not make for a better country. This is not about race it is about keeping our freedoms and stopping our country from going bankrupt. We are all affected by these problems. |
It is so nice to hear that there are good people standing up in Califonia, we hope you get California back on track. |
come a long way and should be happy. They excel in sports, entertainment and have a black President, who had not paid his political dues! By that I mean what had he done to propel him into the White House? Besides his great oratory skill and celebrity status what did he have going for hin? There are many reasons why he lucked out and won; the hatred for Bush mainly and McCain ran a sorry campaign! More later. |
BM, like Sotomajor, feels like nothing is valid unless blacks are sufficiently involved. Maybe that means >10% of the crowd must be black. Who knows? Libs have a sickness when it comes to counting and sorting people by race. They're obsessed with race.
(BTW, how many blacks were taking part in the anti-Gulf War protests, either one? Maybe blacks don't want to protest ANYTHING unless Al Sharpton gets involved thanks to the Democrats' penchant for hosing them down and siccing police dogs on them!) |
It is so nice to hear that there are good people standing up in Califonia, we hope you get California back on track. |
we black people are sure happy that you let us off those plantations. What racist nonsense.
And McCain lost because the right has no message beside 'no'. |
Perhaps you might take the time to actually read my posts before you say something as stupid as you just did. I guess you are with Bob, go around, count the blacks. You are the real racists. I posted that all were at the Tea party black, white, hispanic. It was not just one group or the other it was Americans. You people just love to try to make everything about race. Sorry it isn't working so well anymore. Apparently, even the black population is getting tired of your liberal bull. |
credit. However, I'm sick and tired of the 'woe is me' black mentality. Your Al Sharpton etc., can dish it out but can't seem to take it! Self pitying Michelle slipped up and revealed her innermost feelings. Even though the Obamas had it so good, she resented America as did Obama and his mentor Rev., Wright. For those who defend that Prez., Obama did not and never resents America, well, the proof is in the pudding. The illusionist Obamas deceptive smokescreen now has holes in it and we hear and see where he is coming from loud and clear! |
African Americans. You folks do, provided they think like you do. You pick people like Steele, etc, because you want to see 'expansive', but you are not at all.
tea parties? How silly. Think about it...original tea party was because of taxation without representation, but you have reps now. You just are in the minority. Very different than a monarchy. |
"yessum, Miss Vicky and Miss Diane we black people are sure happy that you let us off those plantations. What racist nonsense."
Speaking of racist nonsense...
"And McCain lost because the right has no message beside 'no'."
Wrong, again. McCain lost because he did not give the country a clear difference between Obama and him. If people wanted to vote for a liberal, they certainly had a tried and true one in Obama. No reason to go with liberal lite when you can get the REAL thing.
Apparently your liberal buddy Munck is counting. See his post below. I counted people I did not sperate them by race. I counted them as Americans.
Per Bob Munck "The links in the main article above lead to a number of crowd pictures. Count the blacks and hispanics; I'll wait.
Are you back? Did you go higher than "one?" |

That tiny smelt that lives in the small, marshy area of the Sacramento Delta must have its habitat preserved -- according to activists (judges who legislate from the bench). People don't count.
It's okay if the farmers are driven out of business and can no longer grow the massive amounts of food to feed you and me. It is perfectly fine if water, the life blood of any country/state, is curtailed. Only 106 smelt were counted as caught in the filter of one of the Delta pumps, but that was enough to reverse the water flow...
Until I attended a ag-business convention in Sacramento last month, I didn't know that the water which comes from the watersheds in the northern part of the state ise now being rerouted and pumped, not south to the cities which use this water--all the way to San Diego--but straight west, out the Delta, and into the Pacific Ocean.
A federally employed speaker (who shall remain nameless) said this policy was trying to fill the Pacific Ocean. (His irony was very clear.)
Did anyone else on this blog know that the water to the south had been curtailed 90%??? Craziness, courtesy of too much government regulation.
Obviously, the regulation of water is complex - but do we need to protect a smelt which is not essential to the food chain in that vast eco system at the expense of drinking water, agricultural water, acquafer stabilization, and stability of the businesses and families whose lives and fortunes are intertwined?
YOU BET THERE WILL BE TEAPARTIES IN CA. I love CA, grew up there, went to school when the system of education was the best in the country (my bias), was educated with people of different races and was a minority student in Richmond as a youth. Don't tell me that people of different races and creeds can't get along. I want my great Golden State back as a great place to visit.

I noticed the tni address didn't work.
Here's another one you can use: agprotravel@atcnet.net.
Happy to answer your questions re my LDS faith. |

canpaign and didn't say 'no' enough, to all the scary and unrealistic rhetoric of Obama and his Demwit liberal spinners! John was the wrong nominee to go up against the Chicago machine in play and lacked the funding to take on Obamas endless money tree! There are many undeserving reasons the Rookie won. When the gift of gab slick oil salesman 'O' promised everyone the 'pie in the sky', even though unrealistic and he can't safely and ever deliver on; he seduced 'dependent' minds and the misinformed, naive masses. The biased non-objective liberal media were careful to avoid Vetting Celebrity Obama, so it is what it is. Our Country is left insecure, stuck with a misguided, inexperienced Prez who has undermined standards for the Presidency, with extreme drastic policies etc,. God help America!
OBVIOUS: SLAVERY was wrong.
It has taken America a Civil War plus federal laws to address the letter of the law. Now we're all working on the spirit of the law and Obama's election is a good barometer that Americans want to be color blind.
I just wish that President Obama was more grounded in understanding the underpinnings of American freedom. I fear he will undermine the basic freedoms of all in his desire to make America fit his image of hope.
It is time to be loyal Americans, together, under a common, protective Constitution. |
it is not a hard and fast distinction. resentment flows from both sides.
i agree that dissent is very much a part of America. but dissent is not inherently resentful. it can be based upon a genuine love of country and concern for its direction.
resentment, in contrast, is grounded in a sense of victimization and entitlement. resentment is a nasty if abiding side of our national character. there are no shortage of politicians to give them voice. resentment takes rationality out of discourse and infuses civic life with stupid pathology.
that old bull-queen Neo wrote this: "You know, All-American stick to the ribs stuff like the snotty elites and the brain dead bloviaters sneer at. The pieces of useless shiites that detest Sarah are sure to detest the high spirited middle class American-hard working folks who turned out for the Tea Parties." that kinda stupid sanctimony is nothing but resentment.
i dislike it from the left. and these days, there's a lot of it coming from the right. it is cheap. it is second-rate. and it is indicative of a fundamental unseriousness in the soul.
you have no idea if they are americans or not. and Miss vicky, you keep telling yourself all that nonsense about why McCain lost. He lost places like PA and Ohio when he picked Palin.
You keep pushing Sarah onward and upward. We Dems will love winning states like Nevada again. |
"I fear he will undermine the basic freedoms of all in his desire to make America fit his image of hope."
It's called statism, and it will manifest itself in the Marxist state because Marxism is the hope and change of Obama. He just will not say it straight away to the American people. He is the TOTUS POTUS with HOCUS POCUS. |
there, are ya, dear?
Let's see, you poor thought challenged putz. Large numbers of regular working, middle class, law abiding, non-Freaky stiffs turn out to protest the Bamster faux economic policies and you can't manage to pull your head out of that southward canal of yours to know what it's about?????? BWHAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaa...! |
This drama queen is more laughable with every post. Quite frankly, it is beyond pathetic.
She writes of resentment, "i dislike it from the left. and these days, there's a lot of it coming from the right. it is cheap. it is second-rate. and it is indicative of a fundamental unseriousness in the soul.
However, she is a perpetrator of the very thing she declares disdain for. HOW SO? She essentially says she loves, "stirring the pot"---yep, she's a common, street peddler.
She writes to "Big Sky" below, at 2:07PM: "...just messing around, friend. i like flipping the rhetoric."
Yep-----she likes, "flipping the rhetoric." Adding to the nonsense.......stirring it up......starting trouble. Of course she wrote that response to Big Sky inasmuch as BigSky was compelled to call her crapola for what it is----and hence.....alot of wasted space, wasted words, wasted time. Yep-----that is exactly why this drama queen, Pathologic Liberal is nothing better than a time waster.
you don't get credit for the 100k who show up around the Rose Bowl for the fireworks just because a small gaggle rallied near Jackie Robinson Field.
and Neo, you old movie maven, your patronizing tone about stick-to-the-ribs stuff and hardworking Americans is really lame. just embrace your inner film queen and drop the condo-descendo nonsense. |
i don't flip rhetoric to flip rhetoric. i do it because it is true--and when it has the added benefit of being the reverse of what you guys believe, that just makes it funnier.
the truth is never a time-waster. and too often for you clowns, the truth is upside down. |

'shrieker persists in calling me "she." well, lady wisdom is a girl, and lord knows she is firmly planted in my soul. so i guess i am a "she." |

was meant ONLY for you and your cheap shiite buds. NOT for the middle class, working stiff, stick-to-the-ribs Americans(much like Sarah)who are attending the Tea Parties.
NEVER ever do I feel superior to folks, Idiot. Only to you and yours.
Ohhh, Blovie, the jealousy, lesser-than, envy, resentment Ish-Shoe stuff toward me is showing Big Time tonight. I thought you'd sought help and moved past that thing of letting humble sensitive Neo occupy Rent Free Space in your tiny, pointy head. :-) |
what an idiot you are, oh Self-Absorbed One. It's far too easy a call. |
but it was hotter than, well, it was 101' at 7pm when i arrived. Went with Dr. Jay and his wife Brenda.
Texas Tea party organizers provided big beautiful air conditioned buses to shuttle folks from the parking lot to the facility. That was sweet.
Great food and great speakers. Especially liked Marcus Luttrell and Joe the Plumber. Bought Lone Survivor at the event and am looking forward to reading it.
Marcus told of being rescued on the 3rd of July in Afghanistan and his fellow Seals being brought out on the 4th. You could have heard a pin drop when he told that story.
Tea Party on Garth. |
"I don't require, "luck" to see... what an idiot you are, oh Self-Absorbed One. It's far too easy a call."
Dude! Patriotic Liberal and I OWN your a s s . Haven't you noticed how it hurts to sit down? |

thanks for sharing. These sentiments will not go away, not with the persistently putrid programs this president formulates, forces upon this country. These sentiments will only continue to grow. And that is something one can be assured of. |

I understand full well that you are attracted to my a$$. So be it. However, troubadour, I am heterosexual, and happily married. You are but a gay gnat. Buzzing around aimlessly. With no purpose other than to sniff crotches and agitate. |

Ft Collins, Greeley, and Loveland. Between the three, there were thousands who showed up.
In Loveland, about 15 (out of about 200 9-12ers in attendence) of us dressed in colonial garb dragged a podium around the park and read the Declaration of Independence. We handed out almost 2,000 copies of the document, and an equal number of flyers informing folks about our 9-12 and Tea Party groups.
Our 9-12 group meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday's. Each meeting sees between 15 and 25 new faces. We now have about 130 who show up regularly, and dozens more who show up from time to time.
The last three meetings have had politicians in attendence. Last week Tom Lucero, the man who got Ward Churchill fired, made an appearance. Conservatives are chomping at the bit to go after Betsey Markey (D-CO, CD4). Speaking of: There are nation-wide protests on July 17 opposing socialized healthcare in front of the offices of your elected statists. |

Thanks for your update. I am getting tired of these clowns trying to marginalize the affect of the Tea Parties. The one I attended had a few thousand people and all committed to see a change in our current tax and spend policy. Most were angry with their representatives both dems and repubs as they feel that they are out of touch with the people and are only acting in their own best interest. I believe that as more people realize what is happening to our freedoms more will join in. For those libs that think this is just a conservative movement they are sadly mistaken. This is the movement of people who want to take back their country and make their politicians work for them. |

To answer your question. No I did not ask if all were Americans but when you see thousands of people wearing red, white and blue, wearing pins that say God Bless America and carrying American flags it is a pretty good assumption that they are Americans.
Miss Vicky was quite right that McCain ran a terrible campaign. He failed to get any message accross to the people and If not for Palin helping him get some of the more conservative vote he would have done worse. He was a poor choice as a candidate who ran a poor campaign. |

no. you HATE us. you patronize THEM. |

nothing "aimless" about bringing the cool clear light of truth to the barbarians. it is a high and noble calling.

The heat is on Pathetic Liverspots, and it will soon be time for a bloated "ciao, chumps; Mrs. PL wants to blah blah blah."
Reading "Liberal Fascism" has done wonders toward my understanding of posters like PL. |
i'm at work now. Ms. PL is far away. i can hold my responsible position AND slap you chumps into place at the same time. but, yeah, sometimes life pulls me away from townhall. doesn't it you? or is your life out there on Long Island so undemanding?! one thing you can take to the bank--i don't run away from you buffoons. even if it means being called "needy" or whatever other psycho-blahblah you Oprahs come up with. i do notify you if i am leaving for awhile--just so you don't get the wrong idea that your brilliant arguments have drummed me into silence and submission.
as for liberal fascism, it is a true oxymoron. the problem is that liberal freedoms--commerce, speech, even religion--are sometimes civicly corrosive. take porn, for instance. or gambling. also, where liberalism argues the equality of men, fascism argues their inequality--as a practical matter, the fasicsts are right on that one.
one cannot be a liberal and a fascist at the same time. but it is clearly time to have a rational cool-headed discussion over how we can reconcile the disorder inherent in a liberal society to the oppression inherent in a "fascist" (or ordered) society. obviously, that discussion needs to occur among grown-ups. |
As a resident of PA, I can tell you that Sarah Palin did NOT ruin his chances in this state! It's a blue state.
I attende one of Sarah Palin's rallies and the turnout was PHENOMENAL. So were the other ones in our state.
McCain lost because he wasn't a true conservative and because he ran a lousey campaign. Sarah Palin had nothing to do with it from where I stand. |
"one cannot be a liberal and a fascist at the same time."
Spoken by a true ignoramus. |
"...liberalism argues the equality of men.."
Then why is affirmative action enacted and defended as part of a LIBERAL agenda?
Affirmative action doesn't speak to EQUALITY, but INEQUALITY. Blacks are more valued than Whites. Hispanics are more valued than Asians.
Class warfare, another liberal oft-used tactic, seeks to exploit INEQUALITY. To liberals, "rich" is bad (unless one is of the liberal elite, of which there are many) and "poor" is good (unless you are white poor or white midle class, and in any way conservative, in which case you are deemed by the liberal elites as "backward and quaint" if nonthreatening, or "an extremist" if you protest and are in any way activist.)
News flash: Liberty guarantees an equal shot at success, but it does not guarantee equal results. |

..i'm an ignoramus. when you come up with something compelling to say, let us know. |

So sorry you won't be joining us, then. |

Why don't you answer my post regarding affirmative action instead of dismissing it?
Is it because you haven't GOT the tools to engage in an adult argument?
Is it because you CAN'T answer or defend something as illogical or indefensible as affirmative action?
This is SO typical of you and your petty little group-think liberal friends.
Go on, I know you're dying to: "I have to go, chumps, it's lunch time." Go on. Make an excuse to dodge the argument. |
didn't see that post. but on principle i have a problem with affirmative action. if some races migrate to the vocations and others to the professions, what do i care? |
and it is not only you, but one could drive a truck between what you think you know and what you really know. so if you have a beef with me, it ain't over affirmative action. i personally don't understand how a true liberal could favor such a thing. |
"..one could drive a truck between what you think you know and what you really know." Any examples here? What exactly do think I'm in error about?
"so if you have a beef with me, it ain't over affirmative action." I have a beef with your condescending attitude, especially when it is coupled with your lack of understanding of so many issues (the very obvious connection between liberalism and fascism, for one!), and the frequency with which you dodge arguments when it looks like you'll "lose", or when you don't have the means to debate points. "I personally don't understand how a true liberal could favor such a thing."
And yet, THEY DO! Maybe you'd better figure it out, since you call yourself a liberal! |
well, it isn't my lack of understanding of the issues and it isn't my running away. those two things are fillaments of your agitations--as Norm Crosby used to say.
as for the condesension--i treat people civilly when they treat me civilly. that's my rule. honestly, you have been a snide and ignorant and victimized presence since the day you arrived. if you want to reset, i'm game. but knowing you--and it is clear i understand you better than you understand me--i imagine you are not interested in a civil tone with me at all. prove me wrong. |
Still you do not address the topics... |
ack. what haven't i addressed, for crying out loud? that i am responsible for every fool thing some insipid liberal blurbles?
my gripe against contemporary liberalism is its multiculturalism. my gribe against classical liberalism is its belief that civilization can grow organically, from the bottom-up.
and yet, i call myself a liberal even so. neither contemporary nor classical, yet i identify with that tradition even so. i particularly admire its emphasis on the rational soul.
"my gripe against classical liberalism is its belief that civilization can grow organically, from the bottom-up."
egads. Civilizations exist because humans exist. Civilization can ONLY grow "organically", it has no other choice.
You're issue is the direction of the growth and the fact that we haven't reached Heaven on Earth fast enough. So like a typical statist, you seek to ram YOUR version of Happiness right down everybody's throats, regardless of THEIR versions of Happiness. Coercion is ALWAYS regressive. Never progressive.
F'n fascist.
