A sobering thought...
Its sobering to realize that there are so many young people in this country that were not alive when Reagan was President, and the only thing they know about him are what they are taught in the liberal education system or what they hear on in the liberal MSM.

Ronald Reagan was one of the best Presidents this country has ever had. Anyone that could so thoroughly and completely save the country from the shape that Carter put it in is darn-near a super hero. Lots of people earned lots of money in the '80s and guess what, it was due to REAGANOMICS!

Let's see, what's the best way to help the economy if you are the Federal government? Take an action that will create jobs so everyone has the opportunity to earn their own money (i.e. give tax cuts to business owners - the job creators) or raise taxes the job creators so they'll cut jobs, and just give money to the poor people??? Sorry but poor people do not create jobs - no matter how "compassionate" you bleeding hearts think it is to give them Welfare.

Of course cutting taxes for EVERYONE is the best solution so that the job creators can create more jobs, and the wage earners can keep more of the money they EARNED. Works every time its tried.

Oh, puleez!! Wire it shut!
Such a nice reprieve we had when the WindowCleaner was silent. The peace and quiet here was too sweet to last. Ah, but now the liberal shill has returned to once again regale us with the nonsense and silliness of the trolls from DU and DKos, et al, and resume the contamination and infection of the realm of sensible and rational discourse.

What would REALLY be sweet
would be if the WindowPeeper were silenced......

Unfortunately he/she won't go back to the Huffington Post & DailyKos where they're a superstar........

You are so right!

Now, fight for it. The best way to do it is TALK. Talk to everyone you meet, at the grocery store, the restaurant, the dry cleaner.

Just talk!

Supply side economics
The problem is that although Bush did a lot of things right concerning the War on Terriorism he completely missed the boat when it comes to spending. Entirely too much money was spent by the government creating the debt we have now. However, looking at how the demos intend to spend money we will have 10% unemployment in two years and the U.S. debt will at least double if now triple which is not sustainable. The greedy nonworkers will benefit from everyone else's labor. Creating a whole class of people who live off a government dole will continue to get the demos elected and take the country to ruin. Along with unrestricted emigration the entitled class will drown this country.
Dan in SC writes: Tuesday, December, 30, 2008 8:44 AM
Bush fiscal policy was liberalism
People need to make sure they do not confuse Bush's fiscal policy with conservatism. Bush and the LIBERAL Republicans let spending get out of control. Big Spending = LIBERALISM!!! The only part that Bush was good on were the tax cuts which prevented a major recession following the 9/11 attacks. The problem is, these tax cuts INCREASED government revenue and the politicians got drunk on all the money coming into to D.C. In turn, they decided it would be OK to increase domestic spending on garbage social programs (NCLB, senior drug program, etc.) and on pork.

I never understand these liberals that attack Bush on his fiscal policy because his actions were not that much different than that of a liberal Democrat with the exception that he cut taxes rather than raised taxes. I suppose most liberals are so blinded by their faux rage of the Iraq war that they are unable to see that Bush was on THEIR side for 90+% of his fiscal policy.

Giving Coulter's books away
might be the least embarrassing solution for getting them out of the publisher's warehouse.

Your problem is math.

Bush will be blamed for Ronnie's Voodoo.
Under Ronnie's leadership this nation was leveraged. Now under W's leadership the tab comes due.
You supply siders have endangered my county and the future of my children.

The essence of this economic

downturn is the artifical growth induced in the economy by easy credit to unworthy borrowers.

Almost everyone in government was happy about the artificial growth. But like all things that ignore natural laws, the chickens come home to roost. Now we are all involved in paying for the ignorance of our leaders. Both Repubs and Dems wanted the easy credit because it let them be re-elected. Whether our leaders are ignorant or stupid or incorrigible (most are one or the other or two of the three or all three), we are paying the price.

Economic growth based on anything other than an increase in productivity or an increase in population will always, over the long run, result in the debacle we currently face. There is no way to short circuit economic laws.

The problem is definitely not free enterprise and capitalism. The problem is having leaders who think they can manipulate an economy where more than a billion transactions are made daily.

@ DC
Sorry but poor people do not create jobs ......

They sure don't but obviously rich folks dont either. Bushie helped the rich with all these tax cuts and look where it got us.

sorry the was for Dan not DC
Stop getting your talking points from Sean Hannity
Dan in SC writes: Tuesday, December, 30, 2008 4:29 PM
wadiiah....
I don't take talking points period. Its called common sense! Something I see you are sorely lacking.

Rich people don't create jobs? Oh really? Who do you think owns the companies that employ the people? Oh that's right, in your world, we should all just be slaves...oops I mean "work" for the government.

I know that lazy folks like yourself would like to just sit around and collect a paycheck from Uncle Obama, but personally I prefer to earn my living. Working and producing is what drives economies, NOT big government. Where do you people get these bizarre ideas????

Sorry but there's been plenty of failed socialist experiments throughout history and everyone a miserable failure.

I'll take a FREE market any day were I have choices. Why don't you go try living in a real socialist country for a few years if you think that's just a great idea! Ask any of the Cubans that risked their lives to get to the USA how great it is.
creekboy writes: Wednesday, December, 31, 2008 2:37 AM
Your right!
Forget about the talking points. Look at the numbers.

I'll let the neighbors know
I'll let the neighbors know that they can heat a room for one more day by burning Annie's book. A few more are unemployed or hurting thanks to Bush Co and Republican economics, where the wealthy make out like bandits and the poor suffer.

Is it that bad....
Have they taken to giving away this womans spiteful drivel! She is the Jessie Jackson of the Reicht only less classy and she never fought for a noble cause.

Someone give this chick a sandwich!
