Was the Sarah Palin 'Quitting' Line Correct?
Posted by: Matt Lewis at 10:17 AM
Last night, Liz Mair and I 'Faced Off' with Lou Dobbs on CNN, regarding Sarah Palin...

Matt you don't get it either!
I'm sick of people like you saying "I actually like Sarah Palin but......" Quitting is giving up. I didn't hear anything like that in her either of her public statements. You think if you say something enough it will become the truth. Wise up. Those of us who actually support Sarah Palin are NOT going to just sit back and let even the all knowing pundits on the right punk and slam her either. Wise up.

Some advice, watch her resignation video again and listen this time.Geesh.

Raff
Just watch out for Sarah the victim, Sarah the quitter,or any other pissy name you have for her when she raises money for the GOP like no other. Whether Sarah runs or not she will be a force.
Reset writes: Thursday, July, 09, 2009 10:50 AM
It was wishful thinking.
The Libs so desperately want her gone from the political arena. That's why Obama sent hundreds of lawyers and ACORN patsies up there to help the grossly corrupt Alaska Democrat Party to file hundreds of frivolous ethics claims against Palin to drain her money so she wouldn't have the funds to run in 2012.

This comes from the guy who got all of his primary and election opposition in his senate race thrown off the ballot. Don't be shocked.
Ex-tex writes: Thursday, July, 09, 2009 10:53 AM
Matt's campaignin' for Romney already!
THIS is why TH LOST so much of it's audience. Matt, you're an embarrassment!

You've joined the ranks of the RINO, Liberal apologists (with NO real following) who go on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, and CBS and CLAIM to know WHAT REAL conservatives think.

Don't you get it?? They put you on because you're such an idiot.

Now, shut up before you do some real damage.

MITT WILL NEVER GET THE NOMINATION.

Raff
Thanks for reiterating the point we all know already: that pukes like you are full of hate, and the greatest accomplishment in your resume is your use of four letter words, congrats Raff your really a great role model for public education, ya learned yer leesins good.

To whom it may concerrn...
I may be wrong but I think its worth noting that Sarah Palin cares as much about conservatives as she does Alaskans.

Here she is throwing away the highest office in her state and she claims shes doing it to help Alaskans.

Conservatives should be very wary of someone who takes their commitment to public service so lightly.
Big Sky Cowboy writes: Thursday, July, 09, 2009 11:26 AM
Yep
We conservatives are very wary, we are very wary everytime another lib tells us to be very wary of something, we know your just looking out for your friends across the asile, You like us so much why didn't I get a Christmas card last year?
sloandog writes: Thursday, July, 09, 2009 11:47 AM
Matt you look like a tool.
How many times do I have to say this;Mitt Romney lost a debate with John McCain, how pathetic is that! All this Palin conjecture will disappear when 30,000 people show up to her first book signing.Remember she's a point guard ,a leader finding a way to win and she is on offense mode now.

Palin
This woman made the right move for herself, her family and her state. The hatred and attacks against her and her family were getting in the way of real business being done. Now she can regroup and come out stronger. She can actually let the American people know what it is like in this country to run for office. How politics have become so tainted that good effective people shy away. It is a disgrace that anyone should have been subjected to what she and her family have been subjected to. I think that she will definately be a player in the future. I do not think in 2012 but perhaps after that. She is young and she is smart. She will be a very important speaker for the conservative movement.

Headlines
Once again, I don't know who chooses headlines at Town Hall.

"Was the Sarah Palin 'Quitting' Line Correct?"

The video clip showed a discussion on the perfectly legitimate topic, is this a good move for Sarah Palin or not? But let's face it: she quit. She resigned. Why ask if the 'quitting' line is correct?
eddie too writes: Thursday, July, 09, 2009 1:01 PM
rafaella is soooo afraid

of Sarah Palin. She should be.

Sarah Palin may be the person who returns this country to sanity and away from the insanity the leftists want to visit upon us.
Thomas writes: Thursday, July, 09, 2009 2:39 PM
Sarah Palin
This nonsense is getting way to much coverage. She quit..period! Her reasons may be for the benefit of Alaska, they may be ( in her mind ) an opportunity to become a likely contender in 2012 for the Presidency, or it may be that she just couldn't handle the criticisms. None of you know, I don't know, and that's it. This may be worse than the Michael Jackson hoopla. Enough already! Sheesh!

The Hypocrisy of Andrew Sullivan
Glenn Reynolds linked to a Volokh article on the Mass challenge to Defense of Marriage Act. Sully has been crying how when he travels out of Massachusetts he is “divorced” from his husband(I am not sure if that means he can get some strange on the side, but that is how he described it).

Okay, snark aside, I get why Sullivan wants to overturn and get rid of DOMA, but why challenge DOMA in the courts?

Sullivan of course does not challenge his Democratic Party pals and Barack Obama about this. Why not? They control congress. They can repeal DOMA right now can’t they?

Just another example of Sullivan’s hypocrisy. He would rather play the victim and cry about Palin, Bush and McCain. Attacking McCain, who does Sully think he is? A conservative? Well two of them are out of office and McCain is not exactly doing a lot out side of Arizona (and policy wise is more moderate than conservative).

Sarah
There will soon be a change in the public's opinion of Governor Palin. Please read my latest post about the effect of the ongoing media criticism.
