NRCC Launches 'Fire Nancy Pelosi' Petition
Posted by: Matt Lewis at 12:49 PM
The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) is urging folks to sign a petition to "fire Nancy Pelosi."

... In all honesty, I don't think they can fire her from her liberal San Francisco congressional seat -- but they certainly can retire her as Speaker of the House.

As the NRCC writes,

Republicans are in a strong position to take back the House majority and fire Pelosi in the 2010 midterm election. In terms of candidate recruitment, fundraising, and issue development, we are far ahead of where we were at this point in 1993 - and you remember what happened in 1994.

The NRCC is hoping to get at least 204,997 signatures on the petition -- a number which matches the margin of victory for Pelosi's 2008 race.
