The Evil Has Landed

Ahmadinejad is in America to communicate some "alternative views" today:
Some of those views, such as his position that the Holocaust did not happen and that the state of Israel should be destroyed, have sparked international fury and have made his trip here to attend the United Nations General Assembly session contentious even before it starts.
Last week, Ahmadinejad made headlines by asking for permission to lay a wreath at Ground Zero. The Ground Zero visit was averted (Edit: May not have been averted, actually.) by an outcry from New Yorkers and American. Ahmadinejad was planning to dole out some wisdom on "root causes" at Ground Zero. Rich.
"Usually, you go to these sites to pay your respects," Ahmadinejad said in the interview. "And also to perhaps air your views about the root causes of such incidents." If you want to get your protest on today, check in a Atlas Shrugs for places and times, in NYC and Washington, D.C. I'm going to try to get over to a protest at the National Press Club at noon, where Ahmadinejad will be addressing a crowd via video link-up.
The LA Times describes the psycho thusly: "a flinty populist in a zip-up jacket whose scathing rhetoric and defiance of Washington are often caricatured in the Western media, has transcended national and religious divides to become a folk hero across the Middle East."
Read the whole thing for more overly cozy descriptions of the zipped-up dictator.
Allah has video of the 60 Minutes interview, and the good news that Ahmadinejad will have plenty in common with the Truthers we met at Ground Zero if he ends up there.
The American people still don’t know who was behind the bombing of the Twin Towers. Many books in the U.S. have been written about the incident., and there are questions circling in your society. Once you go back, go to the streets, ask the local people who was behind this, what were the reason for that? And, again, I fail to see why you continually say “the American people.“ I have the latest surveys. Eighty percent of the American citizens say that the American government knew about the attack beforehand. [This figure is almost certainly bogus. — ed.] They had information… And, the Corner reports that he may just end up there.
Kevin McCullough is urging readers and listeners to get out to Ground Zero to block Ahmadinejad, because the visit is still on the dictator's itinerary.
Hillary took this opportunity to deliver her patented kinda-sorta-condemnation:
"If I were a president of the university, I would not have invited him," Clinton told CNN's Wolf Blitzer. "He's a Holocaust denier. He's a supporter of terrorism. But I also respect the right in our country to make different decisions." As for Columbia, turns out they're extremely open to "alternative views" from international terrorist types.
Columbia: Nazi-friendly since 1933!

Sure, we can all give ourselves a hearty pat on the back for being so open and so free letting Ahmadinejad speak at a college. Of course, let's not mention they wouldn't allow Rumsfeld to speak there, nor could they control the angry mobs once the Minutemen took stage, nor would they allow the ROTC to step foot on their property, but hey, it's all fine and dandy, right kids? You're such grown ups because you gave the floor to Ahmadinejad.
Ahmadinejad, let me remind you, is an enemy of this country. We let an outspoken enemy of this country and our allies to fly into our air-zone, land, and live like a celebrated elitist in our country. He has expressed jihad against our country and wishes to genocide us and Israel.
My question is, why when he landed, wasn't arrested? He has killed thousands, he is a criminal, he is a murderer and has high hopes of doing great harm to the western world. Why is he free? Why haven't we taken him to a quiet place, arrested him, and gotten intel from this scumbag?
Ahmadinejad comes here because we're idiots. No one had the guts to blow the whistle on him.

At least, Hitler Lite, wasn't allowed to desecrate Ground Zero too... He didn't get to go there to Gloat, and to "celebrate" what he, no doubt, sees as an Islamic/Mahdi victory! Still, it is very distubing that our Gutless Political leaders allowed this Iranian Terrorist in Chief his propaganda mission. He was practically treated like royalty; remember that next time you are enduring an airline strip search! This evil Totalitarian represents an enemy Regime not only responsible for murders & kidnapppings of Americans in the past, but Currently Murdering our US Troops in Iraq! What was Bush thinking? |

Hah! Cracking on my age. That's cute. Confident, too, since you don't even know how old I am.
I am about to turn thirty, so I am not a baby, though I admit, I am still young enough that my brain cells haven't started dying off at an alarming daily rate, as yours seem to have some time ago.
Funny how you crack on my supposed ignorance, but aren't bothered by the fact that no one around here seems to know that Ahmadinejad is NOT the leader of Iran.
Shoot, you probably think that Iranians speak Arabic. I doubt you know if they are Shia or Sunni, or what that even means.
Do you know who overthrew who in the Iranian Revolution, and why?
It's great that you've lived through a century or so, Arby. Probably even had the cvhance to oppress some coloreds.
But maybe you should pick up a book every now and then and educate yourself about things other than what's outside your front door or what Hannity is hollering about. |

why feminists all over the world always side with Islamofascists in their hatred for America/Bush, but keep studiously clam-shut about the way women are treated under Islam.
I'd love to hear their opinion - if they have one - about it. Or would that be too politically incorrect for them?
And please, girls. Don't counterattack with the lame, tired, tried-and-wrong "Conservative/Christians treat women badly, too." Not if you want to mantain so much as a shred of credibility. |
|
Don't be silly, sweetie. Bollinger was so far removed from being aggressive that it was barely believable. No one, including President Lee, "stood up and attacked" Ahmandinejad, contrary to your youthful misunderstanding of what took place. Your thinking that it was "awesome" illustrates how young and inexperienced you are, particularly in terms of having LIVED THROUGH U.S. history, not just read about it in school books -- although it appear questionable whether or not you have done that.
People are frightened of Ahmandinejad, and rightly so, because he is a prominent leader of a nation dedicated to terrorism where homosexuals are routinely killed because of their homosexuality, women are routinely killed because of even the slightest transgression against the cultural mandates, and Jews are not even considered people. Reading your remarks, it's obvious that you utterly failed to understand what he was actually saying when he discussed homosexuality in Iran. His country is furnishing weapons which are killing young American soldiers.
You are clearly just a naive and inexperienced little girl who doesn't know the faintest bit about what she says and I, for one, don't take you seriously. The more you post, the more you display for everyone your lack of experience, lack of analytical understanding, lack of critical thinking and your affinity for assertions that are void of historic fact or even an understanding of current events. |

Well, finally we know where god wants all the Evangelicals to move now: Iran.
Any Evangelicals looking for a one-way ticket to your promised land, I'm sure we'll be happy to take up a collection! |
|
"In general, uber-religious Ahmandinejad, who believes that violence is a good way to solve problems and that grandstanding and chest-thumping is effective, is essentially very similar to Bush."
(shrug) Talk about "the more they talk, the more ridiculous they look." You're looking not only ridiculous, but ignorant as well. Good job.
You do have more in common with Ahmadinejad than conservatives do! |
|
"Stand up and attack him to his face. You should hear Bollinger's introduction, it's awesome."
Oh, so Bollinger was in full Damage Control mode, was he. Well, better late than never, I guess.
I would have been much more impressed at his "awesome" bravery if he had, oh, say thrown a pie at him, or gotten students to storm the place and shout and scream and prevent MA to speak.
Hey, why not? That's the treatment conservative speakers usually get at universities. Why not Ahmadinejan?
|
|
"In view of Ahmadinejad's opinion of homosexuals, you should be screaming for his expulsion"
I think idiots should be allowed to speak all they want. I have always been in favor of letting gay haters talk as much as possible, since the more they talk, the more ridiculous they look.
In general, uber-religious Ahmandinejad, who believes that violence is a good way to solve problems and that grandstanding and chest-thumping is effective, is essentially very similar to Bush.
|
|
"Man, terrorist don't even have to attack you guys, they could just jump and and say 'boo' and you pee your pants."
After 9/11, that's understandable.
Liberals are no braver that conservatives, either. Just say the word 'god' in front of them and watch them soil their underwear. And they don't even believe in him! They are terrified of something they say doesn't exist. Not exactly hero material. |
|
In view of Ahmadinejad's opinion of homosexuals, you should be screaming for his expulsion (and please, spare me your drivel about "the right to dissent," and other liberal idiocies).
And speaking of having things in common with Ahmadinejad, he wants to destroy America and Bush.
Looks like he has a lot more in common with librals than he has with conservatives. |
|
Stand up and attack him to his face. You should hear Bollinger's introduction, it's awesome.
Conservatives just want to go hide in the corner.
Why are you so frightened of Ahmadinejad? Can't you see he's just not worth it?
Why are conservatives so frightened of EVERYTHING. Man, terrorist don't even have to attack you guys, they could just jump and and say 'boo' and you pee your pants. |
|
|
Your naivite is obvious. If you think what transpired in Ahmadinejad's presentation was "liberals way of attacking him," and taking him oved coals, you are beyond naive. The U.S. and especially Columbia should never have permitted this terrorist to speak on American soil. Liberals wouldn't recognize a bad idea if it smacked them in the face. |
|
I would think he would inspire you! When asked by all those snivelling liberals about why homosexuals were treated badly, he said there were no homosexuals in Iran, since there is no such thing as a homosexual--it's not genetic, it's just a behavior, and since people in Iran are so religious they don't have any gays.
You conservatives have so much in common with this guy! Aren't you inspired by the way he stands up to liberals on the topic of homosexuality!
He agrees with you. |
|
The president of Columbia 'introduced' Ahmadinejad, and spent 30 minutes raking him over the coals. And the rest of the audience followed suit.
Conservatives are scared of Ahmadinejad. Liberals see a bad idea and understand that there is nothing to fear. That the best way to beat a bad idea is not to try and stifle it, but to let it exhibit itself and attack it.
Which is why liberals way of attacking Ahmadinejad is so much more effective and moving than conservatives 'let's shut him up!' approach.
The best thing to do with Klansmen is to let them march, not persecute them, which just feeds them. Let Ahmadinejad speak. Let him be challenged and be forced to defend himself. Let him show what a fool he is.
What a glorious country this is!! |
|
Fine, be mad at him if you want. Keep him from speaking.
But do you not see that it is a problem when all of our supposedly informed pundits appear to know nothing about Iran and its government? That they keep on saying silly things about how HE is supplying arms to fighter in Iraq, or calling him a dictator (which he definitely doesn't qualify for, since he was elected and is not anywhere close to a head of state).
If John Bolton went to speak to an Iranian audience, and they yelled at him that he was a dictator who bombed Iraq, wouldn't you say that those people were idiots?
Americans need to pay attention to what's going on in the world and quit being so proud of their ignorance, and so willing to vomit out opinions when they are utterly uninformed.

Ryan writes: 'As for Columbia, kudos to them for having the guts to invite one of the most controversial men of our time to come speak. I hope they take the opportunity to grill him on his beliefs."
"Grill him"? You haven't seen how he operates. The moment you try to probe deeply, he flies off the handle and threatens to walk out.
Not going to work. You can't pin him. His cheap theatrics make sure of that.
Besides, we already know what his beliefs are. He's made no secret of them:
"Undoubtedly, I say that this slogan and goal is achievable, and with the support and power of God, we will soon experience a world without the United States and Zionism and will breathe in the brilliant time of Islamic sovereignty over today's world." (Iran's President Warns Muslims Of 'Conspiracies Of World Imperialism,' Available At: http://www.sharifnews.com, Accessed 10/26/05)
That's it. That's enough. He threatened America with extinction. Why tolerate his continued existence on our planet.
|

bibi asks: "Denial of the jewish holocaust is now punishable by bombing a country?"
No. But plotting to start Holocaust II in the 21st century by wiping out the rest of the Jews with nuclear weapons is definitely punishable by bombing. Yes, indeed.
|
|
animalgirl says: "he isn't even a head of state. He doesn't even have any control over the military. He's a mid-level bureacrat."
As I've explained to you before, that's irrelevant: Ahmedinijad is coming to America as a representative of his government. That was the same capacity in which he addressed the United Nations last year.
If an American "mid-level bureaucrat" (say John Bolton) spoke to an audience of America-haters, can you imagine the reception he would get? They wouldn't care that John Bolton isn't America's "dictator". They would know that Bolton is America's representative to the world at that moment--and all their venom would come pouring down on him.
So let it be with Ahmedinijad. Let the venom pour down on him as a symbol of the regime that deserves all the venom we can pour down on it as well.
Understand now?
|
|
Need I remind everyone that Iran's president is not a liberal? Stop comparing him to democrats. He's actually a far-right religious conservative.
In addition, Ground Zero is not a holy site. Who cares if he visits it? Iran didn't bomb the two towers.
As for Columbia, kudos to them for having the guts to invite one of the most controversial men of our time to come speak. I hope they take the opportunity to grill him on his beliefs.
Some of you people are blowing this way out of proportion. I guess I shouldn't expect any more from Townhall.com. |
|
|
Any bets he backs the DEMS and will use all of their speaking points. I would bet my Life on it. |
|
|
we can't learn from the mistakes of the past and continue to make them in the here and now. This psycho is ideologically the same as Hitler, and yet we are letting him into our country and giving him a huge platform to speak on in the U.N. & Columbia. When will we ever learn that appeasement to dictators and their regimes only emboldens our enemy and does nothing to help us? |
|
|
...has become the latest heartthrob for the Neo Commies. He gives them refreshing new ammunition to bash all things American. They see him as saner than our leaders. He bashes President Bush. What a guy! What a hero! Maybe he'll replace ol' martyred Che in their T-shirts. |

Now direct from Iran. Please, welcome a man whose actions have subsidised the deaths of hundreds, possiby thousands of US soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, opressed thousands of women and brought stoning out of the stone age, Heeeeeeere's Mahmood.....
I don't have to hear this subhuman speak to know his heart. The hate the, contempt, the invalidation that come through on behalf of Iran and Isalm from previous oratory tells me what he will say.
Something like this I imagine: "Iran is peaceful as long as the Zionists and Americans are decimated, in the name of Allah." and "We only want clean nuclear power, the bombs are for Allah." also "When we say death to the great Satan, America, it is in a peaceful way and we only mean we want you to end freedom and adhere to Sharia law, OR DIE!" and try "The U. S. opresses and enslaves all nations by their policies, even though you have contributed more to the UN than any other nation since inception in 1945, and donated more money and sacrificed more lives as well. You disagree? No, no, no, you misunderstand, infidel. You have no say. You must be wiped away, in the name of Allah and peace of course."

That's a good one. I keep thinking I threw that jacket out in late 1970. |
|
|
|
...would be in order if they still made those jackets. Ahmanutjob probably got his stash from Goodwill.
Detain him and hold him for ransom--10 million barrels of oil...then build a massive refinery on the grounds of Columbia.
|
|
Because he isn't even a head of state. He doesn't even have any control over the military. He's a mid-level bureacrat. Iran isn't run by elected officials, it's run by the mullahs. That's why it's a theocracy, no a democracy.
Americans can't beat Iran in this fight if we continue to be so ragingly ignorant of this whole region of the world. |

Are not you people so scared, and outraged, that the person responsible for 9-1-1 would have the audacity to want to visit the scene of the crime. O, wait a minute, that was Saddam, or no, it was Obama, whoops, I mean Osama; maybe next week your precious American corpotocray that rules your thoughts will tell you it was the Chinese.
If deception is the key to warfare the corporately owned American "government" hast ye little people hoodwinked on the grandest scale imaginable!
Verily, I am sure you people will be more than willing to kill whoever is this weeks, or next weeks, declared enemy.
The unfathomable mercy of Christ is a mystery unto humankind, but how long shall he forgive those who call evil good and good evil.
Cyrus comes forth to free the chosen from their American captivity, and yet YHWH's chosen hearken not once again! |

...how the extreme left is so blind. Their passions are without direction, and are without the controls needed for our national interest. The extreme left is driven by personal passion, and its immediate fulfillment of pleasure. The injury they cause those of us who see the truths, is a joyous moment for them. They intentionally inject turmoil to reap the benefits of turmoil. They are fear mongers who love the rush of turbulance, and see themselves has the calming arms that emrace, and end turbulance. Diplomats of the turmoil, embracing the turmoil, to end the turmoil."Even thieves will do what is good for thieves, in the eyes of thieves." |
|
|
How extreme do the far-left need to behave before the "American Idol/Brittany Spears" crowd actually starts taking a stand and speaking out against these nut jobs? Why do I feel this all a bad dream....are so many Americans really this ignorant and delusional? |
