"Palin governs the LARGEST STATE" By some measures. More to the point, Alaska doesn't really have a state monetary system and budgets in the same sense that other states do. They have a HUGE income from the oil companies, to the point that they don't have to collect any taxes from their citizens. Indeed, they hand out money, something like $3200 per person per year. Imagine running a government where you didn't have to answer to the citizens for how you spent their money, because you weren't spending their money. No wonder Palin feels comfortable having the state pay a per diem when she spends the night in her own house. If normal state budgeting is in some sense similar to the way a family runs their finances, Alaska is an unruly teenager with a large allowance.

Typical biased Union Leader BS. Bill Loeb lives on in the halls of that rightwing rag. But seriously, is Jeanne running for VP of the US? I doubt it. And I'm betting she's got more of a clue than Sarah "witch doctor" Palin.

Have you even READ the bio on Palin? She is governor of one of the smallest states in regards to population. She shoots and kills the other animals in her charge. And let's not forget that the truth about Palin in her "bipartisan" leadership is that this is a woman who played partisan politics and used her station to undermine those who disagreed with her. Read: FIRED them, and tried to screw with their pensions. "Vindictiveness" is not a qualification for leadership that anyone should want in their VP. And Lord knows how well shooting animals for fun has worked for Cheney - it is even more sickening when you know that the animals are in situations that lend themselves to a great disadvantage when up against a rifle totin' mustacheo-lipped macho-mama.
