I don't get it...it's been weeks with no podcasts. What gives? Can Townhall atleast let us know what's going on? |
No, townhall will never let you know what's going on. In their view, since they are providing the podcasts for free, we have no right to complain when they suddenly stop posting them without explanation. I think Medved no longer wants to provide what he charges fans $5 a month for on his own website. I believe eventually all these podcasts will go away for the same reason. Either the hosts or Salem Radio will shut them down. I simply record the internet stream from KRLA radio using the free mp3 recorder Audacity. |
but why would Medved have done it to begin with? the biggest thing that being a Medhead subscriber would get you is the podcasts, so why would he ever be ok with giving them out for free? |
Obviously, Medved has had second thoughts. Maybe his website subscriptions were dropping off. |
Instead of paying $5 per month to get the podcast, I would rather listen to a few commercials during the podcast, I dont mind if it's not completely commercial free. If that would defray the costs, why not? Isn't that how radio works? You provide free content, on the condition that listeners will also listen to commercials. Why not run the podcast the same way? |

js949. Can you please STFU? Do you even realize how pathetic your incessant whining is? You are as predictable as the sun coming up. Whenever there's a break in the Medved podcasts, you can always count on js949. "Waaaaaa...where's my free podcasts....waaaaa...I want free podcasts...waaaaaa".
How about you get a crowbar out, pry open your wallet, and pony up for the premium subscription you chiseler. Otherwise, spare us your bitching and be thankful when you DO get the free podcasts. |
Doug, I only wished I irritated the ones who run this site as much as you! Since you don't mind paying for something you have been promised for free, I'll sell you my show mp3's I recorded from the KRLA website for $10 each. Say the word and I'll post my email address here. I require $100 in advance for the first 10 shows. |

Medved revealed on last Friday's show the reason he might be holding back his podcasts. He bragged about wearing jeans and a 1974 sports jacket to meet Bush at the White House. He was also proud of the fact that he buys his shoes at Payless and his wife cuts his hair. The problem is he's pathologically cheap. I'd say "money grubbing" but given his religion, I might be accused of antisemitism. He just can't stand letting go of anything he could make a few bucks on. This explains everything. |
I'm with Doug, I'll take the commercials too. Townhall - what's the deal? I can understand that maybe there's something contractually that you have to work out with Medved and can't discuss the details, but can you not atleast let us know that you're aware of this problem? What gives? |

some people don't live on the west coast. this is the only way to hear it |
If you no longer are going to offer his updated podcasts, then simply remove Medved from your podacst availabilty list, so you can stop wasting everyones time. |

Medved is quite the cheapskate, unworthy of this Greatest Nation on God's Green Earth. As we all know, he is quite the apologist for squeezing every last cent out of anything profitable. To top it all off, the podcast is not even as good as it used to be because you can't choose the segments that interest you- you have to download the whole thing in one two-hour file. At least the 'nutburgers' who speak out against the NAU offer their shows for free. |
To bloodywilliams:
There is a free download called maxfilesplitter that will break that 2 hour download into as many segments as you like. Where do you get the 2 hour podcasts? I've been recording the internet stream using the Audacity mp3 recorder and using maxfilesplitter to divide it into 6 half hour chunks. |
