Do you feel the leaked information from a global warming alarmist organization is meaningful?

Yesterday afternoon, I logged on to the "Global War" blog (global-war.bloghi.com) of Associate Professor Julio Pino – a Muslim convert who teaches at Kent State University. The heading for the site used to read "The Worldwide Web of Jihad: Daily News from the Most Dangerous Muslim in America." Now it reads "Are You Prepared for Jihad?" IN THE NAME OF OBL. 2007: THE YEAR OF ISLAMIC VICTORY!"

Hardly able to believe what I was reading, I called Pino at his office in Ohio around 4 p.m. According to his secretary, he had not been at work that day (he only has office hours two days of the week). He was drawing a paycheck from the people of the State of Ohio while trying to launch a Jihad against people like me. In fact, just five minutes before I called he posted an entry under the title "Crusaders Can’t Take Anymore in Afghanistan!"

Pino began his morning of not going into his office at Kent State by penning a post under the title “Frightened British Crusaders Rush More Troops to Occupied Afghanistan.” Using terms like “occupation” and “Crusaders” it isn’t really necessary to read these posts in order to ascertain who this employee of the State of Ohio is rooting for in the War on Terror.

But, just in case you were curious about the purpose of this site, it is provided in the upper right corner: "We are a jihadist news service, and provide battle dispatches, training manuals, and jihad videos to our brothers worldwide. All we want is to get Allah’s pleasure. We will write ‘Jihad’ across our foreheads, and the stars. The angels will carry our message throughout the world."

There is also an "Oath of Freedom" in the upper right corner: "We were born free. We will live freely and when death comes to us, we will die freely. Jihad is changing all that can be changed; freeing ourselves through our own efforts; and the conviction that truth will prevail, inshallah."

Under the entry "Sister Detonates Herself to Eliminate Shia Traitors" there is a description of a female suicide bomber who recently killed 41 people. Just in case you wondered how the host of the site feels about the suicide bomber, the next line tells you: "Now she lies on the Golden Couch of Paradise."

Despite his clear support of mass murder, he once complained that the Jews were engaged in genocide against the Palestinians. He claimed that as a result of that assertion, he was "harassed" and received "death threats."

I’ve always assumed that a person who advocates mass murder runs the risk of getting an occasional death threat in the office. Maybe Pino isn’t really the "Most Dangerous Muslim in America." Maybe he’s just a pro-Palestinian pansy whose cushy job with the State of Ohio lets him hide inside his house while real men are doing the work that keeps this great nation going.

But, just to be fair to Pino, he is more balanced in his teaching than a lot of my colleagues at UNC-Wilmington. In fact, he’s even willing to criticize an occasional Democrat. He says that John F. Kennedy once planned "genocide against the Cuban people" in the 1960s. He also claims that President Bill Clinton killed "more than 500,000 Iraqi children" in the 1990s.

Although obsessed with the notion that America is being over-run by "Christian fascism," he has affectionately referred to his students his "little Jihadists" and his "beloved Taliban." In other words, he makes no bones about the fact that he works to indoctrinate, not educate, the children of the taxpayers of the State of Ohio.

Many people believe that Julio Pino deserves to be fired because of his public statements about the War on Terror. I disagree. A simple firing is too light a punishment.

Dr. Julio Pino, for his decision to "provide battle dispatches, training manuals, and jihad videos to our (enemies) worldwide" deserves to be arrested and sent to an island off the coast of North America, striped naked, interrogated, and, if necessary, tortured to ascertain the extent of his involvement in assisting our enemies.

After we are done with him, he is free to return to Ohio. That is unless, of course, he is found to be something more than a professorial pansy posing as a genuine Jihadist.

Dr. Pino is still afraid to return Dr. Adams calls. Allah seems to have blessed the Cuban convert with an unusually small "julio-ju dilly."

Bill Clinton killed 500,000
Iraqui children? Were they all in that aspirin factory? And, hey, I don't remember congress signing on for that!

Professor Adams, sir.....
This afternoon (Tuesday) I listened to the Sean Hannity radio program. He had David Horowitz on and he spoke of his work to bring balance to college and university campi across America.

I personally think you have a lot of what it takes to be an educator, moral human, realist and even perhaps a hunter.

How about calling Mr Hannity and asking why you are not on his program?

I'm not asking this as a challenge, please, but as a suggestion. And if I knew of an avenue to ask Mr Hannity the same, I'd do it much more forcefully.

Hmmm. Perhaps you could appear opposite Professor Jihad? That would be outstanding! But I assume Prof J would want to appear from under his desk or an "undisclosed location"?

Reading today's column makes me wonder if I am living in the EU. Why does America put up with this sh*t from our educational establishments? This is WAY BEYOND 1st Amendment speech. This is treason and espionage.

I wonder what the people of Ohio are doing. Can they be this STUPID? This disgusting? Wow!!

Monster.com
advertises on this idiots website. I took the liberty of sending them an email about it.

And that Cecil will stop it - eventually
To me, treason is 'aiding and abetting the enemy' which is what this clod is doing.

Question: what does the female suicide bomber get in paradise??? Oh, silly me. She got IN therefore, she needs nothing.

Academia's sanctuary
When the Republic was young, given the fragility of free Republican governments, there was a genuine concern, not unfounded, that treason among its citizenry was considered a very serious matter. We had already experienced a Benedict Arnold and there was the matter of Aaron Burr, former VP - the man without a country.

Now I wonder if the crime of treason even exists within the US considering how openly 5th columnists, in and out of Gov't, are allowed to operate.

This guy Pino - a DP no less - is just one of hundreds of leftist seditionists who undermine our war effort from the protected sanctuaries of universities. Not only are they issuing propaganda but they're actively indoctrinating the student body - and they can enforce their ideology through grading and intimidation. That Prof in FL even went so far as to finacially support the Jihadist terror network.

Are the people of this country so soft, self indulgent, and property owned that they can't react to the enemy right in their midst? Are we so cowed by the intolerant that we must tolerate them at any cost? In my estimation, we don't look enlightened or civilly sophisticated - we just look in credibly stupid.

Nutcase
If you wish to know more about this nutcase here is a link.

This is just one more case of the lunatics running the asylum. Universities nationwide need to be reorganized to eliminate this kind of insanity. This individual probably is more deserving of being in jail than he is being employed by a State agency.

To Answer Just a Thought:
Question: what does the female suicide bomber get in paradise??? Oh, silly me. She got IN therefore, she needs nothing.

As I understand it, SHE gets to be one of the virginal whores that the men have.

There is something fundamentally in error with a religion that claims the pinnacle of holiness is rewarded with unending carnal pleasure. It shows that Islam, and it's practitioners aren't simply stuck in the 14th century, they're also stuck in a 14-year-old mindset.

Unusual advertising
There was an ad for the Christian Childrens Fund on the website via a google-search ad engine. The love of Christ and the hate of Islam all on the same website. A truly renaissance man.

On Office Hours
I don't know the subject professor or even the subject, but the writer here managed to include some subtle snottiness about a professor keeping office hours "only two days a week" while collecting a paycheck. Sitting in his office full-time is not a professor's job. He or she is expected to meet and teach classes, labs, lectures, seminars, or whatever he teaches. It is assumed that significant time is required to prepare for teaching and to evaluate students' work product, and this preparation may most efficiently take place in some setting other than the office---a home office perhaps, or the library. In addition, a teacher at the university level is expected to engage in independent research which may involve many entire days in the library, or conducting interviews, or writing a book, or working in some sort of laboratory situation---academics do all kinds of legitimate work that's part of their job. A professor who has regular contact with students (ie teaches them in some way) is always expected to post x number of office hours so that students will know when and where they may see him/her; there is usually a required ratio of class time to office time. Not sitting in an office 40 hours a week does not equal neglect of duty; rather, it means that the professor is fulfilling legitimate work requirements and expectations. So could we please skip the snottiness?

Uhhhhh....Lily.....excuuuuusee me
All you got out of Dr Adams column was the inconsequential, triviality of this dirt bags office hours?????????

Are we on the same planet or even in the same dimension.

don't be sillly, lilly
I think the article pretty well establishes that he's not doing serious research three days a week.

I know your feelings are hurt but try to focus on the big picture.

Hey, Lily?
Um, Dr. Adams IS a professor too. I'm sure he knows full well what the requirements of a professor's job are. Careful, pumpkin, your ignorance is showing!

lilly
except that the professor is spending HIS time trying to recruit jihadists. That is treason in this country. He should not only be fired, but jailed for treason. The best way to bring "anything" down is from within. Same with the pedophile and gay priests. These men infiltrated the priesthood from within. Then they use their positions (no pun intended) to change the thinking and rules of whatever institution they're trying to indoctrinate.

Too late at night?
Maybe I'm looking right at it but I'm just too groggy to see it (it's 2:30 a.m. here), but where on the global-war.bloghi.com website does it indicate that it was written by Professor Julio Pino? The picture in the right column does not look like the guy in the link Vic provided (http://dept.kent.edu/history/faculty/pino.html).

I'm not saying Professor Adams is wrong, only that I'd like to know how he came by this information. A question that in this state of half-sleep maybe I'm just not seeing the answer to right now.

(I'm not too tired to see that judging from this guy's scholarship he really does appear to have a decidedly negative view of US activities in Latin America and Africa; whether that translates into supporting militant jihad against America is a different matter to be considered.)

Thanks, Primus 54
I just wrote an email to the trustees. I encourage everyone who feels strongly about this to do the same. trustees@kent.edu or see contact info 6:48 above.

I have one further comment. The ragheads and their supporters are not very bright. How safe do you think Julio et al are going to be if the US experiences another attack? It won't matter if they taste like chicken or not to those country boys.

You People Can't Read?
The first sentence of my post made clear that I was not addressing the political issue of the article, with which I happen to agree. I referred specifically to the author's mention of "two days a week in the office while receiving a paycheck". This is not the first time a conservative writer has commented on the do-nothing lazy lifestyle of academics. Try to grasp the main idea of what you're reading. Whether a professor is out revving up the students for jihad, or whether he is sitting in the Library of Congress researching his book on the Battle of Vera Cruz, he still is (quite legitimately) not expected to sit in his office Mon-Fri 9-5, and that---nothing else---was the point of my post.

What is it about conservatives that has them so often advancing an argument beyond where it actually is, and then reacting to their own advancement as if someone else has assaulted them with their own thoughts?

you people?
Lilly, as a black man I take offense at your post. Keep your "you people" remarks to yourself, please.

Insanity
Let me see if I have this right. We have a professor at Kent State who is recruiting jihadists to overthrow our way of life and replace it with the blessings of sharia and the department of homeland security is busy persecuting border patrol agents who shoot an illegal alien dope smuggler in the butt. What a country.

Talk about obfuscation, Lilly.
You certainly could not have missed the whole point of the article, could you? What is your position on an avowed terrorist supporter on faculty at Kent State University?

Perhaps later, after we have gotten this trivial matter out of the way, we can have a discussion about his office hours and the substance of his research at the Library of Congress.

what female martyrs get?
Well, if they are older than 10 you can bet it's not a personal audience with the Prophet Mohammed. Way to old for his tastes.

Save the World on Your Own Time...

Office hours
Lilly, I believe that what has readers upset at you is that you seem to be, if only somewhat so, in sympathy with the good professor. We tend not to give any benefit of doubt to traitors, and tend to react harshly to those who do. If memory serves correctly, you have made posts with similar ideas in the past. In other words, you seem to be against us (U.S.) in this war, and we don't like that. Is that simple enough for you?

mikescott
"You people" on a conservative message board should rather obviously refer to conservatives. No way I can possibly know your color."You people" when addressing a school class refers to the students in the class. "You people" when I am giving a party refers to my guests. Try and use common sense.

Lilly did you read?
Adams said:"According to his secretary, he had not been at work that day (he only has office hours two days of the week)."

That says he has posted hours to see students et all for those two days, and on this particular day, he had not been "at work" (the campus) at all.

Now let's agree to drop the snotty "can you read"?

Lilly, did you read
Adams said "According to his secretary, he had not been at work that day (he only has office hours two days of the week)." (This called was place at 4PM)

You accuse Adams of having "subtle snottiness about a professor" then you chide the posters here with "You People Can't Read?"

Dr Adams is familiar I'm sure with office hours and with letting his secretary (if one is so lucky) know where to find him. The statement was he had not been at WORK that day.

sawdust
It doesn't surprise me that my defense of academics for doing what they are paid and contracted to do (which does not consist entirely of sitting in an office) would be taken as a defense of international jihadism even though I have twice clarified that I am not speaking of this professor's politics. This is the kind of logic I often see in the argument of conservatives. I recall a remarkable conversation I once had with a very conservative neighbor. It went like this:

Me: I hate to see those little children going to school without coats on such a cold day [with reference to a city street where we were driving].

Him: Oh, so you're a Communist!

to Purple Stater
I am also not sure how Dr. Adams can tell this is the same guy. I'd really like a little more information before I spout off to the trustees and such.

MIssing the point....
Lilly,

I think the frustration you're seeing in response to your post about the jihadist professor's hours is this:

Hello? Can we focus on something IMPORTANT?!?!? What difference does Dr. Adam's tone about the number of hours the jihadist professor works make?!?!?

In typical liberal fashion, you've focused on something irrelevant, attacking the messenger (Dr. Adams) rather than dealing with the substance of the article - that an employee of the state of Ohio is actively recruiting "little jihadists."

If you think that anyone who has read this piece gives a CRAP about how many hours the jihadist professor works (other than you), you're not thinking clearly. Why would you waste your time (and everyone else's) on something so obviously unrelated to Prof. Pino's subversive activities - unless that's what you were TRYING to do....?

Or are you a college professor with a REALLY thin skin and a slightly guilty conscience?

What is Homeland Security doing?
My concern is what is what is the US Homeland Security and FBI agencies doing to monitor and convict this terroist. Lilly's concern that he may be actually working (even though his secretary said that he did not work that day)misses the point. He is a criminal, in my humble opinion, and should be in prison not a classroom.

common sense?
Lilly, insulting Mike Scott's intelligence after you made a racially insensitive remark did not do much to clear you of the charges, now did it?

Do you think all black people are stupid?

Julio Pino
Mike: I am a resident of Ohio. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I just sent an email to Governor Strickland's office. I want this scumbag fired. I do not want my taxes paying the salary of this traitor.

Hey Lilly
Here's your first sentence...first post:
"I don't know the subject professor or even the subject"

You dodged the Jihadi issue in your first post.

"The first sentence of my post made clear that I was not addressing the political issue of the article, with which I happen to agree."

Another dodge. Your first sentence had nothing to do with the subject at hand. Get with the program.

Talk about snooty. Wipe your nose kid.

You people?!
I use the term "you people" all the time! I say it to blacks, whites, asians, hispanics, etc. When they ask me "what do you mean, you people!" I simply say "stupid people"! Like telling people, "Go Quack Yourself!". "You know what it means, but I didn't say it!" I have a little Carlin in me as I like to have fun with words. Try it, it will make you smile. And eat out the guts of the morons out there. As George Carlin says "think of how stupid the average person is, and 50% of them are stupider than that"!!! Think of the New York voters who elected Hillary Clinton, watched her six year term running for re-election and actually re-elected her to now run for President!?!

Hey, Cecil!
Some Jihadists may need a job too! *laughter*

To Jabelson
Go look at his Curriculum Vitae. He is a d*mn communist. In other words, pretty much like you.

If he is a recent convert, then he is a Muslim communist. How much better can you get.

Coastal Conservative
According to 18 US Code Section 2381:

"Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States."

According to this statute and Article III Section 3 of the US Constitution, this "Pino" weasel is guilty of high treason.

I believe the Federal Government uses either firing squad or lethal injection to carry out the death sentence in time of war.

Strength and Honor

Lilly: Get a clue
Lilly, you continue to defend yourself from the observations of the other posters that your comment on the substance of Adams' article was specious and trivial. You claim to be in agreement with Adams about the seriousness of this Pino guy being paid by taxpayers while he works to overthrow our government and taint our children's education. However, then you reveal yourself with the following example of how bad conservatives are:
Me: I hate to see those little children going to school without coats on such a cold day [with reference to a city street where we were driving].

Him: Oh, so you're a Communist!

First, I am assuming that this is not the first time you have spoken to your neighbor. He must know something else about your nanny state views that would lead him to the conclusion that if you are complaining about parents' not forcing their children to wear coats on a cold morning that you expect the government to step in and do it for us. In this case "communist" is a term that refers to the ultimate loss of liberty seen in the 20th century. I say this as a Cold War warrior who spent 22 years as an intelligence officer fighting the Cold War against the Soviet Union.
Second, your example is pure liberal strawman antics. Take one example that you carefully denude of facts and use it to bash all conservatives. At least the posters here are responding to your own silly, inane postings, not some strawman liberal. Get a clue. Or get off this website. When people like Pino start blowing up our malls, we won't have time for fellow travellers like you who want to make excuses for them. So you might have the decency to at least just SHUT UP.

lilly's confusion
I noticed that you didn't mention the part where Dr. Adams noted that Dr. Pena posted articles to the website the morning of, and 5 minutes before the phone call to his office. If he were working on legitimate research and/or fulfilling his obligations to his contract with the university, I would be curious to know what Kent State is doing hiring someone to do that job.

Treason
If it is true that Julio Pino does in fact "provide battle dispatches, training manuals, and jihad videos to our (enemies) worldwide" then I submit Julio Pino is a traitor by providing aid and comfort to the enemy. As such, Julio Pino deserves to be tried for treason. Should he be found guilty, he should suffer the fate of a traitor - death.

Patriot: Thanks
Thanks for the Consitutional primer. Sometimes we forget. Pinko is guilty of treason and therefore should be put on trial.

Maybe DHS needs Mapquest directions to his office. They obviously have access to the rest of his data since we do.

Turn left on Main Street, right on 6th...c'mon Sec'y Chertoff...get the bus moving.

Hey Lilly
Why do little kids need coats with all of the global warming going on? Are you saying that Al Gore is wrong?

Jabelson
When is the last time you heard of a Christian blowing himself/herself (and don't say Timothy McVeigh. He was certainly no Christian) up along with innocent people or cutting the throat of someone in the name of God? As usual, liberals give no thought to using their brains to think before they speak.

Fair Play
If a student were to do this, in their off time, off campus they would be taken before some school board (student or academic), given a punishment, and removed from the school. Why do not the same rules apply to teachers? If I were to do something like this on my own time I would be terminated immediately. Dual standards? Yep. And we wonder why our (notice I said "our" meaning yours and mine) children are not learning anything but how to rule by emotions.

Lilly
Now that we have exhausted your sidestep issue of office hours, we are all still waiting to hear your comments on the subject of Adams' article. I am guessing you are going to remain silent on this.

Julio Pino
Professor Jihad should go to one of the Islamic countries, and give demonstrations to suicide bombers, or liberate their women, or something.
"Delta is ready when you are, Prof", and I'll provide the one way ticket.

Or better yet, become a suicide bomber.

http://usawakeup.org/

Jihad Julio's Home Address
A simple google search on the term "Julio Pino Ohio" will reveal Jihad Julio's home address and phone number.

Confirmation?
Where is it stated that http://global-war.bloghi.com/ is Pino's blog? I was looking around and couldn't find his name mentioned on the blog. The About picture doesn't look like Pino's picture at http://dept.kent.edu/history/faculty/pino.html and the blogger lists his occupation as "Artist."

Was the Secretary Veiled???
If the Secretary who answered the phone was a woman (the sex of the Secretary was not identified by Dr. Adams), then Julio is in real trouble with the jihadists. An unaccompanied woman cannot be placed in a position of responding to a man as an equal, especially an infidel. We also don't know if the woman, assuming she is one, was veiled or wearing a burkha while working in the office. If not, he is in real trouble. Then there is the whole issue of the working woman...
I am sure that right now someone, somewhere, has issued a fatwa against Julio for conduct unbecoming a jihadist. I encourage Julio to enter into a protective custody situation with Homeland Security ASAP.

Julio the jerk
This guy is dangerous . Instead of him trying to teach his sickness to our kids . We should see if he can swim all the way to that island off our coast wrapped in a freshly removed hog's hide . If he makes it ,"Then torture him".

You must be mistaken
How can this be? You must be mistaken. Those Jihadists can't really be trying to kill us can they? Afterall Bush and CNN and the other networks and politiicans keep telling us that Islam is the religion of peace.

I got a better idea
Go to http://www.fbi.gov and fill out a tip form.

Let the Fed know what's going on. If enough people complain, then maybe the Fed will pay this punk a visit.

Homework assignment
Parents and students need to do their homework. Don't take his class, withdraw from his class if you are in one now. I remember when I went back to college, there were several instructors I avoided like the plague! Word gets around, but then of course it depends on who you hang out with.

Birds of a feather!

hmmm
Everyone here seems to have a lack of faith or hope that anyone in our government that is responsible for intelligence is looking into this, or maybe I am being naive but, I think everyone might want to stop and actually think for a second.

Suppose this professor is for real and is actually a jihadist scumbag. Maybe it is in our best interests to let this guy operate to pull the sleepers out of the woodwork. Although his position of authority may seem uncomfortable to some and the threat of indoctrination is a major concern, is it really such a bad thing? I mean if he is able to turn weak minded, sympathetic, unpatriotic students over to that way of thinking, would it not be better to allow this to happen to expose the weak among us who could turn on us in the future(if not by this bum's teaching, by someone else).
Just because this guy is a professor it has shock factor but, in this day and age people can be recruited anywhere over the internet without attending an environment such as a university. I know the whole close to home feeling bothers me as well, but people, we are at war. Propaganda factories on both sides can and will always operate in times of peace and war. We are only being more critical of this fact due to being in this "war on terror"(that pisses me off by the way, terror is a tactic, it is a war against Islamic Extremists).

Perhaps he might even be a CIA/NSA/DHS plant acting this way in order to gain intelligence. Maybe this guy is just doing it for attention, or maybe, just maybe he is doing it as an undercover investigation for a book, study, etc..

Personally if he is a traitor string him up, but before we get the lynch mob started, make sure that there is no other probable reason for his actions.

I have a good ammount of faith that at least some of the people in our government are doing their job following up on the people within our borders, sometimes more than those outside our borders. For example http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15258484/, when a 14 year old girl in CA made a comment that Bush needs to be killed on her myspace page, the secret service came to her school and removed her from class and realized it was just an inappropriate comment venting her political opinion on the administration and the war(at 14 that is obviously her parent's or instructor's position).

It is nice to see such passion, patriotism, and so-called dissent these days but it seems more often that we too are on the brink of losing our civility, that our country is tearing itself apart with the extremism from the left and the right. We spend more time spouting emotional responses(sometimes based on facts, other times not as much) that we sometimes forget to weigh the other possibilities.

I applaud Prof. Adams for shining a light on this and actually making attempts to contact the guy to find out the whole story.

On another note, if this guy was an instructor at any other level below the university level indoctrinating young impressionable minds prior to them being legal adults with a modicum of intelligence, I would call for his immediate unconditional resignation.

What is going on?
Adams attributes the global war blog to Julio Pino. I went to site following links provided. No where could I find an attribution of Pino.

Through irony, satire, and sarcasm Mr. Adams often plays fast and loose with facts. If he is going to publicly tar and feather someone, he should be more thorough and accurate with his facts and links.

His charges, based upon what he has presented, are as compelling as:

I briefly looked at the site you referenced. I liked the map that highlighted some of the terrorist organizations in America. I think that is true. I wonder why our government allowed them to be established and proliferate? Seems to me that it would be more beneficial to root some of these out, rather than be overthrowing nations that had not attacked us, or posed no imminent threat.

By the way, did you happen to read about Terry Nichols' new affadavit? http://www.sltrib.com/news/ci_5271117

"Oklahoma City bombing conspirator Terry Nichols says a high-ranking FBI official "apparently" was directing Timothy McVeigh in the plot to blow up a government building and might have changed the original target of the attack, according to a new affidavit filed in U.S. District Court in Utah.

The official and other conspirators are being protected by the federal government "in a cover-up to escape its responsibility for the loss of life in Oklahoma," Nichols claims in a Feb. 9 affidavit. "

I was born and raised in Oklahoma and there was certainly some funny business that went on with this bombing. A local OKC TV station (major network affiliate) was reporting all kinds of anomalies, in addition to interviewing some of the victims' families who said they had been told to SHUT UP by the FBI. These news reports ended abruptly one day when the station was bought out.

Why can't we all get along?
Why is everybody getting so upset? I'm sure there are christian professors in Iran preaching against the repressive islam religion and encouraging suicide bombers to get to heaven by murdering innocent people.

Other links on-line
I googled Julio Pino ohio and got lots of links to him and his web page going bace at least one year. It does say he is in the history department. One wonders if the picture is one of his student recruits??

Apparently there has been an attempt for at least one year to get this man removed from Kent State. See links below.

professor Pino
since I live near kent state I decided to call and gather more information.

Ultimately I spoke to Prof Pino's department chair. he was aware of the issue. He told me that Prof pino only contributes "news stories" to the web site.

When I pointed out that as the parent of a marine I found the "new story" reveling in death of marines in Iraq to be offensive he agreed. Turns out that the dept chair is a USMC viet nam vet. He was helpful and patient. I imagine that there will be a few more phone calls to his office this afternoon.

BTW, the dept chair told me that the Admin of KSU is aware of this issue.

It is my opinion that Prof Pino needs to make a public statement. Even just answering Mike Adams' calls would help. His refusal to speak to this will just keep the issue grinding. If Mike Adams is wrong, let Pino say so.

I also understand Pino's POV. Responding to charges in some way legitimizes them.

so: it seems that Prof Pino is accused of contributing material to a pro jihadist website that is calling for the violent overthrow of the US government. Prof Pino needs to say something about this soon.

Are you that naive. A Christian, Iranian professor. That's an oxymoron.

hey ringmaster
are you seriously asking that question???
i'm pretty certain those iranians don't exercise the same free speech rights we cherish here, so no, i doubt very much there's a Christian professor in iran preaching against jihad or anything else attributed to islam.
as for everyone just "getting along", i think you want kumbaya.com for that getting along thing.
better yet, go over to the muslim countries that support terror and train their young men and women to be suicide bombers and ask THEM can't we all just get along. if memory serves, WE were attacked on 9/11/01.

Julio On Web
This is the right guy for sure. Just did a search on Yahoo and there are numerous references to this nutjob as being who Mike says he is. His official picture from Kent State even shows him wearing his knitted muslim beanie.

Lilly's views on conservatives
Even though the topic has strayed far from its purpose, that of pointing out a radical leftist's views on America's evil state, I wanted to make a quick comment about Lilly's idea of what defines a conservative.
When she described driving down the street in a warm car, seeing children without coats, and saying "I hate to see those little children going to school without coats on such a cold day", she took the typical liberal tactic of taking credit for caring, without actually doing anything.
Simply observing the poor, cold children doesn't get the job done. How about getting out and giving one of them your coat?
If you rode a bike to work, recycled your shower water, and donated your weekends to building homes for the homeless, you might have a little more moral authority to criticize your conservative friend for his "communist" comment, as well as the author of this needed article.
As it stands, you seem to represent the 50% of voters who want to point fingers of blame and expect someone else to fix all the world's problems.
I ride a bike to work when I can, but I don't blame you for riding to work in a SUV. I turn my thermostat way down at home, but don't think I have a right to tell VP Gore to stop using as much energy at his house(s).
Actions speak so much louder than words. Sometimes we forget that.

Leftwing Idiots Guide to this Article
1.The Prof follows a religion that wants YOU dead
2.He wants to help KILL you even if you are a female, vegan, black, jew, homosexual, handicapped, ACLU member, he wants YOU dead.
3.He is being paid by the people of his state to want YOU dead.
4.He doesnt like anyones rights accept his own, and those of male muslims.
5.If you focus on the article and refuse to understand the point then please go to the nearest Mosque and volunteer to be killed in the name of Allah.
If all liberals did this I might have some peace and quiet for a few years before we REAL Americans will need to slap the Muslims around a bit for forgetting their place and getting to big for their burkhas.

A Definition (In Re: Lilly)
lilliot - a person of subnormal intelligence who posts on this board; one who takes offense at a minor point in a post and uses that offense to chide others in subsequent posts, often making the same mistake that he or she has cited as offensive. Usage: That post shows what a real lilliot she is.

Link between website still unclear
I checked the links kindly provided by Dave and find the evidence unconvincing. The discover the networks site makes no specific mention of his blog, neither does the columbus dispatch. The other two links (hosted on the same blog server) make the claim but it is not clear where the information came from.

Perhaps the fact that there is no claim by the professor of libel could be taken as evidence but I think a lack of evidence does not prove guilt.

I would like some more concrete evidence before I made the effort to contact the school etc.

Can anyone find additional evidence?

Random Thought
From the blog:

"...the Mujahideen are shown placing explosives inside the carcass of another animal. The bomb-laden animal was then placed at a roadside and detonated remotely as a vehicle passed. " The animal was a dog.

I thought dogs were haram, guess these wackos really haven't read the Holy Qu'ran. Killing non-combatants, killing captives, commiting suicide, touching unclean animals.

If only Lorainne Bobbit were a virgin, then there would be justice.

I was wondering about the woman who blew herself up and is now lounging on the "Golden Couch". Was she a virgin? If so, she is in for a big surprise.

OH WHY OH WHY OH DOESN'T HE LEAVE OHIO

The part-time professor in Ohio, that is, who was described so deliciously by Mike S. Adams.

And go to some place where he will be more welcome? Say, a place reserved for him by Allah? And hurry, too, before they run out of virgins. After all, he would deserve his share, wouldn't he?

The Adams column truly made me so angry that it was difficult to think of any comment bad enough for the Ohio leech.

Said leech presumably goes on smarmily about freedom. Yet he wants to destroy the country that has given him exactly that -- the freedom to express his excremental desire for the demise of that country.

I agree heartily with RogerD who wrote that we should arrest him, try him, and execute him. I would add, however, that execution should occur only after a fair trial. In other words, arrest him, give him a fair trial, then execute him.

And let us please change the laws regarding appeals for death sentences in the case of enemies of the state -- that is, no appeals allowed. Unless, after, say, a month of fair appeals, then execution.

Did I forget to say I do not care for jihadists in my country?

Pinko and the Brainless
Is it clear to everyone that Julio did not write anything about jihad, and that's not his website?

Reading through these comments, I'm really shocked at how stupid some of my fellow Americans can be. The comments read like a bunch of bigoted jihaders calling for executing a plainly innocent man.

All so Adams could pursue his (actual, malicious, hypocritical) attack on Julio. Is it because Julio's a pinko or what? I'd buy that, but this is still a scummy way to go after a guy, even a commie.

Anyway, guy's clearly not the author of the articles, guy's clearly not the individual in the picture, guy's clearly not a jihadist... And if you needed me to point that out, you might be stupid.

Ringmaster
You posted: "Why is everybody getting so upset? I'm sure there are christian professors in Iran preaching against the repressive islam religion and encouraging suicide bombers to get to heaven by murdering innocent people."

Hmmm. Two possibilities, here.

If you were joking, you really need to insert a "LOL" or something because liberals WOULD make that argument.

If not, you're an all-to-typical liberal moron using the old, tired Clintonesque argument of "everybody does it" in defense of . . . radical islamic terrorists.

But, hey, it shouldn't surprise anyone. Liberals are soooo intellectually vacant its scary. You people can actually vote (shudder). As so many posts have noted, tactic #1 when the Left is defending is "shoot the messenger". Tactic #2 is "everybody does it", usually coupled with moral relativism. And so it goes . . . on and on and on and on.

You people (Liberals) REALLY need to come up with some new tactics. You are just soooo freakin' predictable it is boring. Oh, wait. That would require cleverness and thought. Never mind.

Hey Sasquatch
Excellent screen name - quite appropriate for your apparent intellect.

I, too, was a bit skeptical after originally visiting the web blog.

BUT, I then took the time to follow many of the links David took the time to research (which I will re-post here for your use - thanks David) and it is clear he is exactly what he is - an anti-American, Jihad-loving scumbag who should be hung for treason.

Remember, Big Foot, the messenger is irrelevant in the search for truth. The ONLY thing that matters is whether or not the MESSAGE is true - and in this case, it is.

Sorry, you lose.

Ashamed to be from Ohio
I spent 25 years of my life in Ohio and was educated not far from Kent State. Spent a lot of time at Kent State with a girlfriend who went there. Paid a lot of taxes in Ohio. It's a sad state of affairs when you can't fire some piece of excrement like this Pino guy.

a little clearer, but not by much
< < Ultimately I spoke to Prof Pino's department chair. he was aware of the issue. He told me that Prof pino only contributes "news stories" to the web site. > >

I'd like to know which news stories these are.

I followed some of the links that tie the site to Professor Pino, but they're mostly bloggers making the same claim without stating how this information came to be known. Are we supposed to accept it as fact simply because they say it's true? I'm still skeptical that it's *his* blog, though I think he is irresponsible for supporting it even by allowing his articles to be posted there or, worse, by writing for them.

Anyway, nice to know that so many people here support the kind of judicial reform where trials are not deemed necessary when we're feeling sure we know the facts, thus allowing us to speed to convictions and executions as quickly as possible.

Mike Adams says that is Pino's blog, so arrest him and execute him!

Selling out to the Saudis
The Saudi Connection:
How billions in oil money spawned a global terror network
by David E. Kaplan
U.S. News & World Report, December 7, 2003

Starting in the late 1980s -- after the dual shocks of the Iranian revolution and the Soviet war in Afghanistan -- SAUDI ARABIA'S QUASI-OFFICIAL CHARITIES became the primary source of funds for the fast-growing jihad movement. In some 20 countries, the money was used to run paramilitary training camps, purchase weapons, and recruit new members.

The charities were part of an extraordinary $70 BILLION Saudi campaign to spread their fundamentalist WAHHABI sect worldwide. The money helped lay the foundation for hundreds of radical mosques, schools, and Islamic centers that have acted as support networks for the jihad movement, officials say.

U.S. intelligence officials knew about Saudi Arabia's role in funding terrorism by 1996, yet for years Washington did almost nothing to stop it. Examining the SAUDI ROLE IN TERRORISM, a senior intelligence analyst says, was "virtually taboo." Even after the embassy bombings in Africa, moves by counterterrorism officials to act against the Saudis were repeatedly rebuffed by senior staff at the State Department and elsewhere who felt that other foreign policy interests outweighed fighting terrorism.

Selling out to the Saudis -- 2
Hypocrisy in the Middle East
by Congressman Ron Paul, R-Texas
Hawaii Reporter, February 27, 2007

Consider Saudi Arabia, the native home of most of the September 11th hijackers. The Saudis, unlike the Iraqis, have proven connections to al Qaeda. SAUDI CHARITIES have funneled money to ISLAMIC TERRORIST GROUPS. Yet the administration insists on calling Saudi Arabia a “good partner in the war on terror.” Why? Because the U.S. has a longstanding relationship with the Saudi royal family, and a long history of commercial interests relating to Saudi oil. So successive administrations continue to treat the Saudis as something they are not: a reliable and honest friend in the Middle East.

The same is true of Pakistan, where General Musharaf seized power by force in a 1999 coup. The Clinton administration quickly accepted his new leadership as legitimate, to the dismay of India and many Muslim Pakistanis. Since 9/11, we have showered Pakistan with millions in foreign aid, ostensibly in exchange for Musharaf’s allegiance against al Qaeda. Yet has our new ally rewarded our support? Hardly. The PAKISTANIS almost certainly have HARBORED BIN LADEN in their remote mountains, and show little interest in pursuing him or allowing anyone else to pursue him. Pakistan has signed peace agreements with Taliban leaders, and by some accounts bin Laden is a folk hero to many Pakistanis.

Furthermore, more members of Al Qaeda probably live within Pakistan than any other country today. NORTH KOREA developed its NUCLEAR CAPABILITY with technology sold to them by the PAKISTANIS. Yet somehow we remain friends with Pakistan, while Saddam Hussein, who had no connection to bin Laden and no friends in the Islamic fundamentalist world, was made a scapegoat...

All Americans will benefit, both in terms of their safety and their pocketbooks, if we pursue a coherent, neutral foreign policy of non-interventionism, free trade, and self-determination in the Middle East.

True - sort of. Bloghi.com is the domain name that Luke Yu purchased in order to set up a blog-hosting website that HOSTS the Global-War blog along with thousands of others.

Luke Yu may (should??) know what is being put up on the blog but he also may have no idea. Its really irrelevant, isn't it? There is no doubt who is doing the blog posting and it is not Luke Yu.

Blaming Luke Yu would be akin to blaming your idiotic post on Dr. Adams or even Townhall.com. But, hey, you keep on looking for a coherent, relevant thought.

MEMRI, Special Dispatch Series - No. 1481
March 1, 2007

Saudi Author Raed Qassem:

"Our regimes are despotic and oppressive -- and our holiday celebrations reflect [the nature] of our regimes. Thus, all forms of despotism, oppression and extremism are reflected in the dreary and anxious [atmosphere] that permeates our cities during the religious festivals...

"I wish that we Muslims could celebrate the birth of Christ, that our religious and civil institutions would convey greetings to the whole world on this holiday!

...When will there be holiday celebrations attended by all, without discrimination? When will I see popular gatherings during the 'Eid, attended by [people of] all genders and classes, all of them expressing themselves freely with words of love and fidelity [to their true values] or [individual] conscience? When will happiness brighten the faces of [people of all] classes? When will my country know joy? When will I be able to see a smile on the lips and in the eyes of our people? When will we be free?"

Saudi Columnist Hani Naqshabandi:

"in our Muslim countries, Sunnis do not greet Shi'ites on their holidays and do not seek to be close to them. In fact, they do not [even] invite them to their homes during the holidays, or on any other day. [So] it goes without saying that we do not invite Christians to [take part] in our holiday celebrations in mosques and religious centers. We have made Allah ours alone.

"Let us take a lesson from Father Eugene, [who says] that God belongs to everyone, that the church is the house of God, that Christmas is a [universal] celebration more than it is a religious festival, and that no one must be hungry, miserable, or lonely on this day, whatever his religion. If this is a missionary act [on Father Eugene's part], then I wish we could preach [our religion] in the same way instead of accusing others of heresy, and chopping off heads.

Academic Jobs
I tried to get a job at a University; however, I was conservative.

Academics hire only liberal like-minded co-workers.

I considered applying to Duke University' but, if I had been accepted, I would have been ashamed to arrive each day to work.

Harvard hires mostly woman or minorities, so what is a conservative, Christian guy, who has the gift of teaching, to do?

In general I observe that feminist led organizations are unsafe for our country.

The best place to start
is to drop this islam is a religion tripe. It is now and never has been anymore of a religion than communisim, nazism or any other fascist way of life whose only goal is now and always has been global domination. To refer to islam as a religion is as absurd as to refer to the "British Empire" as a religion or "Alexander the Great" as a religious zealot spreading his word.
muhammad was a pedophilic warlord who had a "vision" that authorized him to claim as divine inspiration any thing he cast his greedy lil eyes on. a jim jones type, writ large, with a penchant for lil girls.

I'm a liberal, not a...
Nut who it seems is nothing more than a really, really, really obsessive fan of murderers.

Sheesh, after reading all these posts you'd think liberals were trying to actively kill everyone else, instead of engaging in debate and argument over how best we can all live together.

And I have to say, I do not think that any security or police agency would stand idly by if there is anything that Professor Pino has done that warrants interest. Until then, I can sprout as much stupid rubbish as I like. That is an advantage of living in a western country. It's been your right for 800 years to make fun of the King of England, and if you want to live in a country where you're not allowed to rant and rave in a silly and offensive manner then you can live in China.

I mean, how many "conservatives" bleat about "freedom" when only some people are allowed freedom to say certain things? Sure, you have a right to say this man is stupid, offensive, even evil. I agree with you. But you do not have the right to claim treason upon him until he ACTS treasonably. And words just don't cut it in the USA.

Dear Wacky
"Sheesh, after reading all these posts you'd think liberals were trying to actively kill everyone else, instead of engaging in debate and argument over how best we can all live together."

Yes, they are. Have you ever debated with your liberal peers? I've never come even close to being as assaulted as I have by the ad hominem retorts and blazing fallacies of the left. And I hold them in contempt for withholding their supposed wisdom and talents from the effective reconstruction of Iraq. And we are at war so sedition is a treasonous act.

Kent State Proffesor
If this muslim convert believes that we should be defeated by Bin laden, he needs to be removed and sent to a muslim country of his choice forever no return all passports revoked! If I were a parent of a student at Kent state I would pull my kid out that toliet, create a nighmare for the facilty by lobbying all the parents to pull their kids from this school! He should be removed for sedition, then stripped of all his duties an no ability to ever teach again, and be put on a terror watch list! Why is it libs are supporting terrorists? Follow the money trail into democrat fundraising! He needs to join a homicide bomber club and blow himself to bits for ALA!

Dear Nick
hmmm. Really? I always try to be polite and understanding when I debate- it's why I can't stand the term "culture war" or "liberal/fascist/conservative plot" claims. The fact that you can intersperse any political adjective into that sentence just shows how empty it is. Liberals are plotting to kill you as much as Osama bin Laden is a nice guy.

If the liberals you talk to and debate frighten you to the extent that you think they are trying to kill you, you should try and put assault charges on them. I'm fairly serious here. Verbal assault is a serious offence and can offer Jail time if serious enough. The law will find out if it's actually assault or just a case of two groups of people with poor conflict resolution skills.

Unfortunately, it's not illegal to be rude to someone else. Sadly. Nor is it illegal to be offensive and insensitive to victims of terror. Until there is proof (Which, after what Mike has written, will surely be looked for by the authorities *sigh*) the Professor is entitled to his stupidity.

Jabelson
You can't compare a few thousand racists, 50 years ago, to a million modern Islamic militants.

First, the klan didn't oppose the Jews based on religion it was based on race, they just used their religion as yet another excuse.

Second, the IRA was a political movement they didn't target by religion, they targeted by nationality.

Last, the modern Islamofacists *are* using religion to justify their terrorist actions and hate. They don't care what race you are. They claim that the Muslims that they kill don't count for this reason and that.

The only thing you got right is that the Christians aren't blowing themselves up in the name of God to murder innocent children. McVeigh didn't blow himself up, he ran and was executed later.

Radical Christianity/Judism is a myth, as I explained above. Just *trying* to equate the JDL with terrorist orgs is nothing less than moral relativism. If you're worried of Christians/Jews you need help.

Jihadist Professor
It may be that this will only end after the Democrats allow Iran to have nukes and they send one up the Potomac in a lead box in a rowboat. If we are fortunate enough that Congress and the Supreme Court are in session when it happens then we will be freed from the political correctness that allows this madness to occur. Sooner or later we will have to face these Jihadists and it looks more and more like we will have to defend our homes and children here instead of in Iraq and Afghanistan.

the impact of words
"... And we are at war so sedition is a treasonous act." Bravo, Nick!

It seems rather ignorant for one (such as Wacky) to conclude that words are just that - words. Now, this may be true in grade school when the bully pokes fun and insults one of his peers. But you see, in the real world, words have impact - which leads to consequence.

The leader of one nation announces to the world his declaration of war on another country - do these words have no meaning? As I said - the impact of mere "words" lead to a reaction, a response, a consequence.

Kent State
It's beyond belief that a State supported would allow an obviously insane man to teach at any institution, except possibly the psych ward. If this guy is such a firm believer why doesn't to go to Iraq or Afghanistan and practice what he is preaching?

Scouts Out
I completely agree with you that words have effects and consequences. But consider the difference between the two sentences:

"I am going to kill you;"
"You don't deserve to live."

Pretend that the person in question being insulted is the USA.

Sentence 1 is a seditious sentence. You are going to overthrow the USA, you are going to DO something to the USA to "kill" it. That's the same as a declaration of war. "We are going to invade your country."

Sentence 2 is NOT a seditious sentence. It is a statement of opinion. You are saying that the USA is unworthy. That's like saying, "The USA is evil."

Yes, it hurts when someone says sentence 2 to you. If you love someone who's had that said to them, you will feel upset and angry for that loved one- and I think we can all accept that all Americans do, in their heart of hearts, love their country. But a person who realises that in the ideals that the USA stands for, one of the most important is the freedom of expression that does not "hurt" in the sense of assault or in the fire burning in theatre ruse.

Until this professor has said something that indicates that he will actively attack the USA, or actually does so, he is doing nothing but insulting the USA. And as hurtful as that may be, they are but names, and names will never dim the admiration I have for your country.

Professor Pino
Is the Associate Prof Pino tenured?

Even tenured professors can be fired for cause.......and threatening jihad against any American is "cause" in my book.

Unbelievable, hopefully some computer wizard will hack out his website.

In the meantime what are the Kent State Trustees doing? There is academic freedom in the US, however just because the terroist is an "academic" doesn't mean he can't be kicked to the curb.

WHAT is wrong with this country.?

Dear Wacky
It is a breath of fresh air to debate with you in a civil fashion. Though you avoided some of my other salient points, we should define "kill" here. Sedition and treason gets soldiers "killed" everyday over there. My interpretation of "kill" though it isn't #1 on the list of definitions, these are next:
2. to destroy; do away with; extinguish.
3. to neutralize the active qualities of: to kill an odor.
If I qualify in all respects for a job but my political position denies that job then they are "killing" me. And I'm sure that OBL is a nice guy to a LOT of people.
As to bringing charges, Lord knows if I had the financial position to do so I would but they've been killin' me for years in the film industry (sniff). Our plutocracy masquerading as a democracy is a thwart on our backsides. Your serve.

Mikee's hypocrisy
Mikee also spends an inordinate amount of time spreading his own agenda.

Writing extensively for Townhall.... Hopping on jets and limos, making pilgrimages coast to coast (who pays?) ... giving lectures glorifying his views, mocking those who disagree .... digging up dirt on his host of "enemies".... crafting clever ways to ambush and punish those people.... writing and hawking his books after (possibly) using University computers, supplies and secretaries' time.

I truly wonder if Mikee gives Univ. of NC Wilmington a full day's work for a full day's pay.

Professor Pino's Poopy Poetry
I live very close to Kent State and have communicated with Julio "Assad" Pino
This first email from him is an example of his poetry where he expresses his pleasure over the Twin Tower crash:
"Subject: Dem Wild Jihadi Boyz

767 Coming out of the sky

Won't you take me to Manhattan on a mid-morning ride?

We're on the move."

Working for a jihadi band.

Flying across the land,

Got no plans to land,

Working in a jihadi band.

Heard Mohammed Atta say, "Get packing, going somewhere,

C'mon shahab, let's get out of this room!

We're on the move.

Working for a jihadi band.

Flying across the land,

Got no plans to land,

Working in a jihadi band."

Listen to the radio,

Talk about the last shahada.

Someone got excited,

Called the Zion State Militia.

We're on the move.

Working for a jihadi band.

Flying across the land,

Got no plans to land,

Working in a jihadi band.

Working in a jihadi band.

Working in a jihadi band.

Won't you give the Sheik a hand?

'Cause we're working in a jihadi band.

Flying across the land,

Got no plans to land,

Working in a jihadi band."

Tom: Here is another email from Julio "Assad" Pino of Kent State. He knew I was a Vietnam veteran, so he ridiculed me and the other Vietnam vets in the following email.

"This sure is Charlie's weather."

Viet Nam,
They just can't win in Viet Nam,
When all they want to do,
Is to help Ky and Thieu.

Everything is going in the wrong direction.
Airborne 101 can't pass inspection,
And the Saigon troops just won't stop their defection.
I wrote this song, just to let you know that...

Viet Nam,
They just can't win in Viet Nam,
When all they want to do,
Is to help Ky and Thieu.

We've come to tell this NLF convention,
How the Viet Cong smahed US intervention;
With People's War---the world's greatest invention.
I wrote this song, just to let you know that...

Viet Nam,
They just can't win in Viet Nam,
When all they want to do,
Is to help Ky and Thieu."

Back at you, Sir!
Well, my return's going to be a bit more involved and focus on all the points you raised, but I think the terrible thing about the entire Iraq war is that I supported it, but not for any reason that anyone supposedly gave.

You see, Saddam Hussein committed genocide against Kurds in the 1980s. I have a firm belief (As does Bob Dole and Al Gore) that any government that commits such an act should be removed and replaced. That's the "nation building" that so many conservatives complained about Mr Clinton. There are quite a few libs who will agree with me on this.

The problem with the war was that, because it was placed in the purview of "the war on terror," the war itself became an adjunct to the war on terror instead of the punishment and removal from power of an evil man who killed thousands of his own people. This gave people an excuse to rally behind the insurgents and all that. As you can see in Iraq right now, they're not targetting US forces more than they are killing each other. Such are the power politics of the war on terror. The other side is probably more confused than we are.

It could still have been fixed, though, but the US forces assigned to Iraq were not large enough to pacify the country. And then the killing started in earnest. I doubt the troop surge will do much at this late date.

That's the terrible thing. Can't go- that's abandoning the Iraqis to murderous madmen- Can't stay- because the US forces are providing an excuse to the insurgents to be in the country. Rest assured that Iraqis are wondering why they are killing Shias and Sunnis instead of a "proper resistance" against the Americans, but leaving will make it really, really obvious. But considering the moral failures of the administration, if it changes, then there is no longer any "guilt" about abandoning the Iraqis. A self interested government would want to remove its soldiers as quickly as possible, and that's their prerogative.

And finally, on Sedition-

Sedition is the attempt to overthrow the government by word. It's still law in Commonwealth Countries, but I do believe it's unconstitutional in the USA because of the First Amendment (You need "Treason"). Treason is caused by overt acts, not by words. Words can never be treasonous unless they "aide and abet" the enemy. Unless our friend is telling Jihadists the layout of the pentagon, or similar information, nothing he says can be treasonous.

Anyways, shouldn't treason be a laughing offence? It's so parochial and non suited to a democratic state (unless via violent overthrow) the punishment should be a year of being constantly laughed at.

If Iraq is vietnam
Then the professor can invite his friends to protest and may be the national guard will show up.

The Nutty Professor
Okay, I followed all the links listed. The pictures do not look like each other. Where is the link that links Professor Jihad to the unintelligeble writings on (global-war.bloghi.com)?

I am a fan of Mike Adams, but I see a very tenuous connection between the two.

Maybe I am missing something here, anyone help?

Kent State Jihad
Forget the interrogation. Bullet to the brain. I agree with free speech, but this is treason. He, Jane Fonda and others like them, should be in jail.

Wacky
Actually, President Bush *did* list Saddam's oppression and murder as one of the reasons for going to Iraq. Funny how the libs forget that when convenient.

As for your denial that Iraq IS a part of the (WOT) war on terror, how do you explain all the blood money Saddam gave to the families of terrorist suicide bombers? What liberals try to do is equate the WOT with a narrow-minded war on AlQueda when it's really a War on all terror, as defined. How we continue to let Iran get away with it's support of terror, I have no idea but that's another topic. Additionally, we couldn't afford to take the risk that Saddam would give material support to terrorists as a way to attack America remotely. He did fire on out planes, patrolling the no-fly zones, constantly.

Finally, whether or not he committed a crime, what he says is completely unacceptable for a professor or an American. While the government might not be able to do anything (unless he has broken laws) about him, there's nothing, IMHO, that gives him a "right" to indoctrinate and propagandize our youth. There's no reason we can't hold him accountable for his words, even if the government can not.

He is a traitor, treason or not.

Me & Julio
What do you expect from the Liberal academia these days. We have Ward "Bozo The Clown" Churchill in Colorado, and now we have the happy Jihadist in Ohio. Have you ever wondered why only the radical left is allowed to spread its rancid vitrol and not anyone even remotely representing an opposing view is acceptable under any circumstances? Sooner or later this will have to stop or this once great nation will wake up one morning and find itself a poor second class shell of its former self. This being the result of the tolerance doctrine of the liberal/socialists media, educators,& politicians we are allowing to monopolize our thinking today. Unless we decide to stand up and challange this cancer, we are getting only what we deserve.

Proof for Pappy Michael
I sent proof to Mike Adams at his uncw email address. I have screen shots of his IP address that correspond with the exact dates and times global war posted comments on another blog. (host name rmp.history.kent.edu) Would that be enough for you?

Anonymity is useless in a virtual world filled with free site trackers. By the way, he used to have his picture on the blog - then he went into hiding with only his eyes showing behind a veil. Most recently he has taken to using mug shots of other jihadists.

What's the big deal?
This is just normal American University crap in your own nest behavior.

Cate's Proof
I am a 2 semester student of Dr. Pino's at kent State University. I have class with him tomorrow. I do plan on asking Dr. Pino about the validity of these claims. However I would apreciate if cate could share the proof sent to Dr. Adams

Jihad in Ohio?
Send the National Guard to Kent State!
Again!

neoconnazis
Funny how you folks only support free speech if you like what's said....instead of stripping naked and torturing this guy we should do that to the war criminals in washington...oh yeah you like them. Hail Neocons!! Thank God you chislers haven't figured out how to disarm me yet. exit to the tune of it's 1938 in america...

WTF?
I am tax-paying citizen of Ohio. Why are my tax dollars paying his salary? If he has time to publish sedicious material on the Internet, he'd better be publishing at least one significant scholarly work a year.

Let us put the shoe on the other foot. If there was a Christian professor recruiting students/people via a website to blow up abortion clinics, I would be just as revolted.

REMEMBER, the ACLU will defend him and the NAMBLA in the same breath.

God Bless you all.

Cut off Kent State's Fed $$$
If the taxpayers of Ohio think Benedict Pino is just what their state needs, I say let them pay for it themselves. As a federal taxpayer however, I will be lobbying my Congressman to cut off ALL funding for Kent Seditionist University, because every dollar KSU receives from Uncle Sam frees up one more dollar to finance the Ohio-based Jihad Movement. For that matter, if the citizens of Ohio can't or won't clean up their act, I think the rest of this nation needs to take a hard look at cutting off the flow of fed dollars into the state altogether.

Taxpayer-funded terror support
When the federal government provides grant money to a university's hard science departments, money is freed up for the school to finance seditionists and fifth columnists in the so-called social science departments. Thus, regardless of which departments are ostensibly receiving the grant money directly, there is no separating the inflow of fed dollars from the outflow of rampant anti-Americanism on our nation's college campuses. I for one am tired of paying for it.

Dear Wacky
You've gone off message and opted to bash the man Bush. This discussion between us was intially about:
"Sheesh, after reading all these posts you'd think liberals were trying to actively kill everyone else, instead of engaging in debate and argument over how best we can all live together." and the conditions of treason by PINO.

And Sedition is not "... the attempt to overthrow the government by word." It is about incitement. Check your dictionary or do I have to cite every detail to satisfy you? Heck, try Wikipedia and plug in both "sedition" and "treason" before you come to the table with your authorities.
AND that treason is "parochial" is what is laughable. Is war "parochial" as well? You smack of the rhetoric of the limousine liberals. That's an ad hominum attack because this discussion is ended. GAME, SET AND MATCH SUCKER!!

I'm surprised that you need proof. The University paper is familiar enough with Pino. The paper published his essay "Singing out Prayer for a youth martyr".

MWB
Did you never watch CNN from 1991 to 2003?

The USA had authority to invade Iraq based on UN Resolutions approved by the International Community which were suppose to stop Saddam in his mad quest for nuclaer and other WMDs, after he had invaded Kuwait and been driven out.

He refused to obey these Resolutions, and was warned repeatedly that the International Community would enforce them as written. We did, and had approval from the vast majority of the world's countries.

Not one member of the UN Security Council vetoed anything in the resolutions, or anything we did, not even France who protested but stood by. They could have, and we would not have had authority to go into Iraq.

It was legal in every sense of International Law.
Wake UP ! The coffee is done !

As far as Afghanistan is concerned, you are right, we invaded without provocation. Oh wait, we wanted Osama Bin Laden for the murder of 3000 people and two NYC skyscrapers and the Taliban refused to cooperate. So we twisted their collective arms a bit, so what? They are better off today than they were under the Taliban, especially those who had no rights under the Taliban. That would be 50% of the population, all of them women.

Drink your coffee black?

Cate - Thanks for more proof, I happen to not be very geekly on computer stuff and I appreciate your help.

Why is it only retarded liberals making that deluded claim?

Congress did authorize military action (war) and even the socialist democrats aren't claiming what you are.

The fact that you think America is the "bad guy" proves how worthless the left is.

The Jihadist Professor
As a journalist, and a conservative one at that, it's staggering to me just how much control the liberals have now.

Consider:

The media: with rare exception, basically a free platform for the DNC.

The House and Senate: Democrat majorities are on a tear, fully supported by the aforementioned media, meaning Dems "run the table" in terms of the message that reaches people: i.e. fighting terrorists is bad, Iraq is a total failure, and retreat is the only option.

Education:
Pukes like this guy are being paid -- handsomely, more than I am and more than many other educated people are -- to act as a mouthpiece for America's enemies.

There was a time when traitors like this were tarred, feathered and hanged in the village square.

If you want to take a stand, people, TAKE A STAND. SILENCE against liberal oppression is as bad as taking part in it.

MWB's post Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard
Hilarious. You label supporters of an aggressive stance against terrorism "profoundly ignorant", yet your grasp of English grammar is worse than your grasp of international law. The legalities of the Iraq campaign have been perfectly elucidated by Patriot, so I'll just concentrate on your use of the English language.

Before you call anyone "ignorant", know that neither "freedom fighter" nor "bad guys" are hyphenated, moron.

Jeebus
People that have nothing to add except to correct other people's grammar, (spelling, punctuation, etc.) on the internet, shouldn't bother posting at all, imho. Good thing you also mentioned that he was wrong about the legality of the war. :D

BTW: "Before you call anyone "ignorant", know that neither "freedom fighter" nor "bad guys" are hyphenated, moron."
(The comma after "ignorant" goes inside the close-quote, not after.)
