Hey Brother Woody, are you one of those U.S.S. Liberty conspiracists? I read up on it and at best you could say some things were murky but the people who say that Israel knowingly attacked a U.S. vessel treat is like a fact. If that represents your opinion name one or two things that makes you so certain of that stance? This never made any sense to me.

Israel does not and should not accept any peace accord that would lead to its destruction. Likewise, Israel should plan how to deal with a nuclear Iran assuming that U.S. support is insincere. At least this is what I would do if I was an Israeli.

Sorry the U.N. does not have the authority to dissolve nations. If you accept the premise that the U.S. has the authority to dissolve Israel then you also have to accept the premise that they could also dissolve Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, etc. And even if the U.N. did have such authority they could not because the U.S. has a permanent five member veto.

It is time to end this ego building exercise altogether or at the very least completely privatize this venture. Presidential libraries are uniquely American and are uniquely self-aggrandizing.

Out military budget is way too large, it is double the next 10 largest countries combined. It is designed around outmoded ideas like fighting a major land war in Europe and Asia at the same time, so how would that capability prevent domestic terrorism? It seems like we need a more selective immigration polity rather than a large military budget.

So Cliff May is beating the drums of war for us to attack Iran by calling Iran ... " The world’s leading sponsors of terrorism," How ironic, there have been very few ties of terrorism to Iran, most terrorism has been tied to Saudi Arabia.

Iraq .... had WMD of the quality of Germany circa world war one, and freed Iraq to have democratic elections and promptly elect a Shia majority aligned with Iran and now we are so worried about Iran's increased influence in the region that we are on the verge of war with them. Yeah, we are nitpicking over the war with Iraq, it was only $1T, 4,500 soldier deaths, and 20,000 wounded; hardly worth mentioning.

Fair enough Ron, let's look at the big picture ... 1. GWB added $4T to the national debt. 2. He stated as a goal to spread democracy in the middle east and he built two of them, both of them promptly voted in Islamic Theocracies and Iraq is now an ally of Iran and all this at a cost of $2T, and 6,000 soldiers lives. He did have some inspiring quotes/slogans ... "compassionate conservatism" - implying that conservatism was cold blooded. "we are addicted to oil" - as if the free market was wrong in choosing oil in the first place. "do you know what pay as you go means? it means you pay and your money goes" - pay as you go was a responsible way of keeping gov't spending in check in the 1990's something GWB never did.

Exactly how did 'Obama hand Iraq over to Iran'? The democratically elected Shia majority asked us to leave. What were we supposed to do, stay there against their will until they liked us, perhaps we should have opened up a few re-education camps while we were at it.

Let's see ... he installed a democracy in Iraq at a cost of $1T that promptly elected a Shia majority that is now allied with Iran, I'd say this was our biggest foreign policy blunder in 50yrs. Even worse, it caused the unnecessary deaths of 4,500 troops and 20,000 wounded soldiers. He created one of the largest new and expensive entitlement programs that added $500B to our debt, medicare Part D. He tarnished the Republican brand so badly that someone with as little credentials as Obama was able to walk into the White House and do even more damage domestically.
